This is cool. The men in my life are very interested in learning to hunt (and fish) and not gonna lie seeing an AA guy hunting with you was dope. I'm definitely sharing your channel.
Erica Thompson oh okay I’d offer to come to teach them what I know but I’m not sure what the rules are going to be for hunting over state lines this hunting season. We might be able to make something work though
Been a long time since I've had the pleasure of hunting in the UP. Spent my time around the AF base and Gwinn while stationed up there. Departed after my last hunting trip in 1991. I sure miss it. Not sure I'd want to deal with the cold and snow now though, (just a few years older). Congrats on the deer!
Looks like fun times! Man, you can forget those food plots and baiting. If you guys could take a weekend in the spring, go in and make some bedding areas via doing some hinge cutting, you'd see more deer than you would be able to fathom. You're not only making thick bedding area, but the whitetails diet is 70% woods browse (green newly sprouted branches). You're putting that food on the ground where they can reach it. The UP has a lot of awesome woods without too much bedding or accessible food. When you properly hinge cut, the tree stays alive for years producing food that they can access. It's those thick pockets in the woods that holds the deer. During hunting season, they need that to give them a false sense of security.
Josh Makes Movies ive taken some very large deer up there over the years.and some really nice bears. I also have bird dogs for grouse hunting up there. Yes love that area great fishing in summer too!
Larry, You will be in good deer hunting area around Grand Haven. I live in Nunica and see many deer on my trail cameras. This video was filmed in the U.P. which is a lot more remote than the area around Grand Haven.
I have a cabin north west of you, north of Iron river. Agree the deer are nowhere near what they used to be. I believe between wolves and lack of clear cutting, there will be fewer deer.
nice video, our family has been going to the UP since the 40's. It's another world and can't wait to get there every year. We haul our camp up every year. Hit me up on instagram.......Greg Sutton
Cool video. It looks like fun.

Love the U.P. Whatcha going to do next year? I heard there going to stop baiting.
Nice vid🔥🔥
Are most UP camps on private land? Does the timber company not allow access for hunting during hunting season?

Late dropping apple trees and bedding areas bro.
Is the 2 gallons of bait only a lower Michigan law?
Jeremy Peplinski. State wide law
