Hey guys picky bow guy here. I did my research and found out that Herculean draw is kinda bad (the arm buff) it’s a small 10% buff to raw only for like 30 seconds or something. The quiver buff ( bolt boost) increases raw and element by about 15% for much longer. Even I don’t use Herculean draw since it limits me so much. The animation is long, it costs 2 wirebugs and barely does anything. Don’t sweat it if you don’t use Herculean draw. The supercritical distance from bolt boost is just so much better.
Another funny thing is that I don’t even main bow in rise. I actually picked it up because Pyrac made it look so fun (charging sidestep playstyle). I just really hated seeing my damage lower during a hunt, so I kept my buffs as active as possible, which led me to criticize Pyrac for his lack of buff upkeep. Sorry!
It's really tough, herculean draw makes your quiver glow super obviously so it's easier to remember that one but the other's visual tell is harder for me to find. If you even just check for it a couple times during each engagement (before the monster runs to another area) then you're doing fine.
bolt boost, it increases both raw and elemental damage but it only applies if you're within super critical range, the cross hair will change and have 4 t shapes around it
Do you really lose out on that much? Honestly I just play bow because I like it.. I rarely remember to keep the buffs up 😅
Remember kids, playing optimal is fine, but for like 90% of the time is unnecessary.

I love the bow but i just cannot be fked to keep up with the buffs 😅 I forget to change coatings most of the time ☠️
that damage compared to a element buffed cb is...kinda sad lol
My bow character just reached high rank. I'll probably run evasion sidestep instead of dodgebolt. Though I am to used to rapid from previous games.
What is the other buff there besides Herculean Draw ?
