Even Hybe x Geffen is debuting a global girl group, I wonder why Bang PD not calling it a K-pop girl group but a global girl group. HYBE chairman Bang Si-hyuk also said in the press conference that he thinks "the letter K needs to be diluted" because K-pop is "a culture encompassing everything from fans, their consumption behaviors, production and industrial system" rather than a music genre. Bang said he believes being free from the "K" identity will ironically help K-pop resolve the current crisis.
XG is truly in a league of their own. Their dance, singing, visuals, ENERGY, vibes... its all 10/10!!! I can't believe they're still so underrated until now?????? the gp needs to grab a hold of this girls!!!

It's not underrated. it's unique and different. i call it Niche, Premium, only for segmented people who are seeking quality in choreo, music versatility (required open minded people only), fashion details (from head to toes), artistic music video, meaningful lyrics. If you love XG, well congrats, niche product only for niche consumer

But then again, all other music in Asia (mainly Kpop) is inorganic filled with "streamers" and "stream farms" (mostly in Thailand and other places in SEA) obsessing over Views/Listen counts rather than the quality of the Music or Lyrics (well lets be Honest, most "fans" cant understand a word they say so I guess the latter doesnt matter, as proven by most of the big groups lately) Not to mention obsessive Stans that think Fansites are not Paparazzi and think that viewing Airport pictures and talking about their fav idol every day isnt obsession and parasocial..

Every single live performance that I've ever seen of XG it seems as though they're giving it their 110%. Energy and stage presence is always on point. And the fact that they sing live while moving like that is just... on another level. The quality is unmatched.

i can see that XG is well-loved in countries outside South Korea. there's even fans who said that when it was time for xg to perform, the crowd tripled, everyone gathered to watch them even people from the booths. but my question is why are they still not going big?

maybe bcs they’re not branding themself as kpop or jpop, so when it goes to chart they’re just classified as pop group (or they called themself as Xpop) where it has very board competition in charts
and the Xpop itself is new branding so not everyone knows it ig
XG is recognized as more of an XPOP group rather than being categorized strictly as JPOP or KPOP, adding to their uniqueness.
They are not Pop Group , the Girls and their management says that they are HipHop/Rnb Global Group, that interview stopped the Debate if they are Jpop or Kpop 😂

なんとなく見たけど最後まで見てしまった!声がいいし音楽わからないタイプの私が聞いても色んなテクニックが入ってる？なんだか凄く新しくて良いなって感動。衣装もセクシーなのにイヤラシさがなくて健康的で安心して見れるカッコよさ。オバサンですがファンになっちゃったしばらく家事の作業用BGMになりそう!
With XG it hits different... they look like a dance crew doing their everyday rutine, like you can see in their faces that there is no struggle at all. And then you see other groups (even older groups) that they are doing a performance just to finish it and go home... XG is much more refreshing than soooo many other groups even the big ones.
Right, this is what happens when girls with real passion for music get together to perform. They’re not lying when they said they go hard everyday. They gave everything they got when they perform, I feel like I’m watching a performance and not just people doing their jobs.
