    They are not the best muscle ever! I had a 68 Firebird 400 in High School. The aftermarket speed parts were twice the price of Chevy parts. Had one Firebird and 9 Camaros because of that. The big heavy front bumper limited front end rise during launch. Not enough weight transfer to the rear tires. The first gen. Camaros are the best muscle cars of all time! In my not so humble opinion! The motors In the Pontiacs are all the same size blocks,from the 321 all the way up to the 455! Making them much heavier than the small block Chevy.

    I had 3 firebirds in High School, two 67s (one was a red Firebird 400), and one 68. The 68 was a rare sprint convertible with the HO 250/4bbl.
