I didn't put much thought to it on my first playthrough, but in fact things like this show how much respect Human Revolution developers have to Deus Ex. And things like this one make HR a perfect (minus boss battles) prequel.

It's funny because this is quite clearly game play leading up to the music, and a good bit after as well. Listening to this track while riding to and from work is actually relaxing with the door swishes, the alarm, entering numbers in the keypad, etc. I guess it's just the familiarity of the sounds that are comforting.
10 seconds earlier, dude, 2:49 that was the Unatco cue, that is where the chills begin. 3:00 is the generic Hans Zimmer surging sound that got very popular after the Batman movies.
I have no idea what you're on about. It's a cool unexpected surging chord change that works perfectly, and in no way coined by Zimmer. What Zimmer coined was the deep brass THWAAAAAAAAAP
I remember checking some apartments (if you can call those boxes with a bed and a curtain apartments) and some radio ingame was playing this. Then the part at 2:50 came along and I was paralyzed for a couple mins being entranced by both the nostalgia and the good music.
***** You should give it a try : o) I played the first one after finishing HR(My brother had the first one back in the days but I didn't get into it at the time) There's some nice mods arround to enhance graphic/sound for modern machines. Try to at least finish the first mission, and you'll see that the game is pure awesome !

I always felt like the whole world of Deus Ex was hostile... especially UNATCO HQ. The gun trader guy's hideout felt the safest I think... second would be Tracer Tong's lab.

Honestly this game has the best opening I've ever seen! The introduction to Sarif Industries. was perfect. The character introduction right at point. This games a timeless classic.

When the original UNATCO theme played I was reminded as to how much I wanted the game to be like the original, I learned to be fine with Human Revolution now, but it was a bittersweet moment for me back then.
at some point the timeline of Human Revolution will catch up to the first Deus Ex. Lets say after Mankind Divided. Imagine the game after Mankind Divided will be a full remake of the first Deus Ex! It would make so much sense and would be amazing.
The original Deus Ex can never truly be remade considering the original developers tried and failed. Human Revolution came very close (the music and graphics are better though) but something magical piece is missing. Hopefully Mankind Divided does even better.
There's a lot of things to happen before 2052. Illuminati loses power between 2030-2035 (remember the raid on templars commanded by Manderley?), India-Pakistan nuclear war, civil war in USA, JC Denton born in 2029....
Ah the music is perfectly put there at 2:50 not only for the meeting with David Sarif but also to suddenly make any original Deus Ex fan get goosebumps and have memories flooding in. I feel that was such a good mix of game and music.

Halo was revolutionary in that it was widely considered the first game to have a tactical 2 weapon system. Cod is just a poorly done mashup of established combat mechanics and action tropes.

I miss this world, the tension, the atmosphere, the feeling of impending doom, the smoke and mirrors of shadow organizations. I want to get lost in a world like this again and hopefully next time, online with others who I can share the experience with. I hope there has been development on a new title...It's time.

I bought this game maybe half a year ago, and I had never quite played any real stealth-based games. But as it turned out, this was just the game I needed to get right then, because it was so refreshing ... the great gameplay, story and of course soundtrack! I played it pretty much non-stop without changing game, and almost finished it twice! ... One of the best games in my collection. When they release their next Deus Ex, I'll sure get my hands on a copy of that.
@dapiridoob Graphics are not the only things in games, the game physics development is also being held back. Also just the raw processing power to get more objects and entity's on the screen.
