As a 40 years old permavirgin, I can tell you one thing. It doesn't get better. I thought going to college would change my life. People there are nerds like me, right? Even girls. Wrong. I used to hang out with losers. Girls still want the chads. Eventually even my loser friends got girlfriends. And they started mocking me. I was kicked out of the uni. Heavily depressed. Moved back with my mom. You can guess the rest from here. 20 max level characters in Warcraft, 8 in ESO, finished every Final Fantasy game, almost every D&D game. Even my local friends abandoned me in the end. They have wives and kids and important jobs. What I have learned from my dreadful life is that looks do matter a lot. But what matters most is your self confidence and your sense of reality. My parents always treated me like crap. That was the main problem. Not my height. Not my face. I should have gone to therapy when I was young. Looks can change. Go to the gym. Get rid of your glasses. Wear nice clothes. Your self esteem can change too. But if you have depression, you have to deal with it first. Also you need to set realistic goals and stop aiming for the stars. I always liked computers. But I went to med school. I didn't like it. Nobody liked me there. I didn't fit. And I had my chances with some girls. They weren't the best looking ones, but neither was I. I just wanted the girls I couldn't have. The life I couldn't have. And ended up with nothing. Nothing at all. In conclusion, fix whatever is wrong with you. Asap. If you need surgery, therapy, meds, whatever, do it. Problems don't fix themselves. And get what life gives you. You know what you want to be. Study what you like, and what you can, don't let others force you. And never miss a chance with a girl. If she shows a little interest, don't let it go to waste. Truth is, you don't know her. She might be better than your dream girl. And don't hide from the world. It's still there. It will always be there. But there is another thing that will not always be there. Time. That doesn't come back. Whatever is lost, is lost for good. Your reputation, your money, your friends. When you run out of everything, when you hit rock bottom, you finally understand. The problem was always you, but it could be fixed. You are just a selfish coward who took all the wrong turns.
