No mistakes, just a different end to the path. Love this idea, Peg. Thanks for sharing.

Peg, this is a good video and in the end it all turned out quite nice. I think it’s a good idea you are providing more detail in the process because we forget that new people come on or are getting into mixed media for the first time and see these videos. They don’t know about things such as dry time needed when layering gel prints, embossing folders, and baby whips. People learn just as much from mistakes as they do perfection. More importantly is in the process of correcting mistakes, which you did a very good job of here, even more knowledge is obtained and provides the lesson that not all is lost with a mistake. I am sure your daughter will treasure the gift as well as the idea of providing a process for saving memories and starting traditions for her new family.🥰 Thank you for the video.

Thank you Colleen, I am always very appreciative of your input! I agree , mistakes should be included! I’ve always edited out BUT I do find value in showing the fix; admitting the error and allowing the subscribers to ponder through the solution with me! It actually makes it a little more fun! It is nice to know it is received well!

Peg, this is a great idea to record Christmas memories.
I appreciate the fact that you show mistakes because they do happen. Your recovery was amazing. I love how it turned out. Thanks for sharing ❤

Thank you Deborah! I think I spend a good portion of my time recovering from something 😂….that’s just life💕💕. I thought of pitching this one multiple times then the SOUND didn’t load on first publish…this book was a true calamity of error😉

This is a totally awesome video. I love that you left everything in and worked through the things you didn't particularly like along with the process of "correcting" and moving on. It all looked great to me but so many times I get "stuck" on something and want to just give it up!!! And I appreciate that you talked about how long some things take. m I get so caught up in the process that I forget it doesn't happen as quickly "in person"! It's great when everyone tells about waiting for things to dry or needing time to "think things through" before continuing. As usual, great video. Your creativity is amazing! TFS - And Happy Holidays

It turned out very festive and I like it. It doesn't seem to bother you that there are 'wasted ' layers of work under that tree. That would bug me.

Thank you! The longer I work with mixed media the more comfortable I am with layering and covering things up😂.

I belly laughed when the gold paint went awry when you were painting the star. Don’t you find that art allows us a way of expressing our sense of humor? I mean why get frustrated. My oil painting instructor said “painting in nothing more than making a series of mistakes until you sit back and realize it looks good.”

So agree…so many times I start a project not knowing what or how I am going to get to the finish line! I think everything I do is a process of correcting mistakes😂! And, if we can’t laugh at ourselves-where is the joy😀
