I was there with selling a oilfield chemical, sent sample and just about got to the contract stage and everything changed. So I understand just a bit about your fun and games. Love to read about Biker Bob and I still enjoy listening to your stories. Keep them coming and thanks
If you ever do write that autobiography, I think it's very likely it could get picked up for a film. All of your stories along with a handful of comments in your machining videos paints you as Dennis Hopper in easy Rider but with Forrest gump's ability to be in historical spots at historical moments. Added to that the reduced machismo, wisdom and humbleness that comes with age and perspective, I have a hard time imagining anybody not finding your story riveting. Please don't give up on the autobiography, and if it's just not in you to write, at least keep telling us these wonderful tales! Have a good one Nick
I know now, but under the pressure of the camera often my brain takes a lap while I struggle my way though the story. Serendipity being a perfect example.
Great story Nik, great adventure into the business of movie making . Wow it must have been exciting each time you got so close to your book being filmed. Glad those fires are easing, keep safe and thanks 👍
I was around. The movie company took over the town and in less you wanted to become an extra, one knew to stay clear. But then I always stay home when any kind of event happens in town. Never saw the movie.
Nik, what a good story, well all I can say is this, the book must have a very good story if 4 producers have liked it so much they have been prepared to contact you, you have the screen play, why not send it to every Hollywood produced you can think of, this time next year Nik you will be a millionaire 😁👍
Unfortunately it doesn't work that way. The author has to have an agent who contacts a movie agent, who then presents the story to producers. Each one of those agencies has to be sold on the story so much they are willing to pitch it to the next level. Oh yes, and each one of those gleans off 10% of anything that comes my way. Consider that there are 1000 book agents in the us, each with a dozen authors they want to present to the movie industry. . .you see the problem.
I would love to read the first book I don’t know how but I did some time in a county jail in Maine and read ur book never put two and two together until now Fuckn crazy
@@NikColyerMachineWorks sure did not sure how but that book at that time in my life I was just what I needed I’m not good with all the emails crap but I did try to send u my address thanks again
There is a real Biker Bob from my past, but he was a greasy old school biker who'd just as soon shoot you as talk shit with you, not the all seeing mentor I write about in my books. Those were dangerous times and I'm glad I made it through.
@@NikColyerMachineWorks We have a "bob" in common- I had a similar friend we called "machine gun Bob" - he carried a Thompson in his car. He once suspected a local bar owner of messing around with his wife, and one day he saw the bar owner with a blonde in his car. He chased the guy down the road firing at the guy with the Thompson, fortunately with no result. Turned out not to be his wife.
Nik you never fail to amaze me, jewelry, paintings author, machinist, bad boy, nudist,……love your stories, please keep them coming

So far my autobiography is 600 pages long single space. The hard part is getting it published. Thanks for the great compliments.
Boy what a story nik absolutely fabulous sorry you didn’t get the merc but you never know
You never know. Stranger things have happened.
WOW Nik, what a story. So sorry that you did not get your Films made, but don't give uo hope yet. Regards from Australia.
I'm still working toward that goal, though not as fervently as in past years.
Nic i would love one of these books.

Exciting for sure, but the let down was harsh each time. We had a big rain last night. Hopefully it dampened the fires.
Speaking of movies, we’re you around when they filmed “The Christmas Card” movie in Nevada City? I do enjoy it during the holidays. Just wondering.

I'm loving maranthers deception... unfortunately I'm not a movie producer 😂😂😂
Of all of the books I've written Maranther is my favorite story.

Good morning Nik, I hope the wildfires die down pretty soon. Have a wonderful day, thanks for sharing
It rained pretty goo last night so at least the firefighters might be able to catch up.
Damn man that sucks, but if you were one of them ol'rich basterds we would miss out on shop time, great story as usual, keep'um coming.
Actually, you wouldn't miss out on shop time, it just would be a fancier shop with cooler tools.
Maybe there is a real biker Bob from your past and he is channeling you.
