Great Video, I like your tank carrier. We are big fan of the 4500 psi SCBA tanks. We designed the Stikman PCP Fill adaptor to work with the cga347 threads found on the scba tanks. I also like that the scba tanks have a tank pressure gauge that shows you at a glance the remaining tank pressure.
Very slick set-up. I will keep your idea in mind when I step up to a PCP. Pretty amazing cost savings by doing it your way.

Great video I currently own a Disco and I have a Prod on the way.. Thinking of purchasing one of these tanks.
I have 3 discos, they are awesome guns. Out of all my Air Arms, Marauders, and many others. The Discos are awesome. My daughters tear up targets and cans with them. The SCBA's are a very economical alternative to 4500 psi carbon fiber tanks. Plus if you know a Firefighter, they can be filled at their station. I am building my own compressor and storage system now, watch for that video. Thanks for the awesome comment !

Thank you for the comment. I have 2-45 minute and 2-30 minute bottles. The 30 minute bottles are light and small. Great to take to field or "around the range". The 45's are a bit heavier and thicker. We use 60 minutes at work for "reserve use". They are big, heavy, but they hold a lot more air. So if you want the "most bang for the buck (fill)", then a 60 minute is the way to go.

very nice idea, I still enjoy shooting my pcp's with a hand pump. I do not fill them up to max. But tons of fun to shoot, Happy shooting.
Hand pumps are convenient, but with multiple shooters, HPA is way easier. Thank you for the comment.
First they would have to have 4500 psi capabilities. SCBA threads are unique, so you would need the "CGA347" SCBA fill adaptor (ebay link listed). The adaptor fits on the SCBA and had a 1/4" standard thread. You would have to get an adaptor for what ever they use at the "park" to connect to the 1/4 thread. Most likely 1/8" quick connect. If you can make the right connections and they have 4500 psi. I do not see why not. If you need any help or more info. Private message me.

Great videos, both this one and your follow up. Can you provide a parts list (manufacturer, part number, etc.) to complete this project? I have been able to find the gauges easily enough, but I am having trouble locating a line valve, bleeder valve, and either the tee or four way connector. Thanks
Thank you for the compliments. The Part numbers cross over from manufacture to manufacture. Try google or ebay and cross reference what you find there. If you have a hydraulic shop that builds hydraulic hoses or repairs, I guarantee you they all that you are looking for. Good luck. PS... A dive shop has a lot of valves and trinkets.

When I'm filling my SCBA tank from the Yong Heng, do I keep the turn valve on the tank open or closed to fill ?
I went to a local HYDROLIC shop for the T, reducers, and fittings. Its tough, try a local small town shop. Stay away from the big chains. Just you find the hard to spot items at a local "hometown" hardware store. Same with these air parts. If use the net and ebay, you will go broke on the small Items. The "T" cost me $3, 1/4 to 1/8 reducer, $1.25, and 6K guage, $18 (most expensive item), $7 hose, and $8 male/female 1/8 quick connect. If you need help. Send me a private message.
Hi my friend, just about a few minutes bought a 1998 SCOTT SCBA TANK from Ebay, the price just 100 dollars shipping included, hope it still working fine, just take the risk, probably have to make the hidrostatic test on it because I have not my own compressor, but know about a local diving store that fills tanks up to 4500 psi. Did you know if is possiblento buy a filling station for my Benjamin marauder to fit in this tank. (Foster female fitting in the end?) Greetings from Costa Rica.
Hello to Costa Rica... Yes get the tank tested. Even if you did fill it yourself. Always good to have it tested, safety is #1. I have seen one "pop off", not pretty. As far as a filling station... There are really none under $2500 USD. If you are filling one rifle, a Benjamin Hand Pump may be your way to go. A shoebox compressor for $1000 may work (slow to fill). But if you have a tank (like you bought), in the US they fill them for under $10. You can get 50 or so fills from 1200 to 2900 pending your tank size (cubic feet). Good luck and get it tested. Will a scuba shop fill that tank? You can't expect fire departments to fill tanks for all the shooters.

Hi you have a great video and I my self just purchased a Scott Safety carbon fiber tank 60 min 4500psi tank and I was just wondering if you would be able to share each part that I would need to buy to make it usable for an Air Force air rifle the Talon ss . I have been meaning to detail a list for a while. As I described in my video. You have to search ebay, the net, and local resources. Local shops that make hydraulic parts or hoses. They have the parts you need. If not look up scuba supply parts. They have a lot of what you need.
IrishAirgunner can you make a complete part list I watched you video and you only included three links one for hose , one for adaptor for tank but where do you get the 4 way and what’s it called and the bleed valve and what are the reducer to put hose and what not called ? And size ?

But I have one question.
Will be a scuba tank 220Bar be able to fill a pcp bottle of 220Bar or after a five or six refills the scuba tank will have lack of pressure.
220 bar is 3190 psi. A standard scuba tank is only filled to 3000 psi (207 bar). You can push a SLOW fill to 3200 (not recommended, but will hold). Even if you did fill a scuba tank to 220 bar. Your next fill would definitely be under 220. Most scuba tanks are standard 88cf (cubic feet). You would have to figure the size of your air tube on the gun and the tank size and calculate the percent of the tank that is filled. A lot of work to realize if you want 220 bar, you need a high pressure carbon fiber 4500 psi (310 bar tank). You can still divide your air tube by tank CF size and you can find that. I left links to the Crossman tank/shot count and fill links. You can get Steel (not standard aluminum) tanks that fill to 3400/3500 psi. If you can find one, that may be a economical way to go. If you start at 3500 psi (241 bar). You may get 4/6 220bar fills (guessing). Good luck and thank you for the comment.

What fitting do you need to connect the tank to a shoebox compressor. Would you use the same connection as the rifle?
Hanna, I have never seen a shoebox compressor. But what I have seen on videos, it looks to be a 1/4" quick connect like you would you use on a Marauder (Foster Fitting). I do believe this is true. You would need the adaptor that I built and a simple 1/4" double male to connect the 1/4" female quick connects. Good question, and a simple fix. Thanks for watching.
Any chance you would be willing to share (links) where you purchased the parts for the fill adapter? I cant seem to find all the parts for under $100-$120 anywhere. I'll buy the setup from you and give you an extra $20 for doing so if interested
Excellent video and you are right why should I pay 800$ if I can get the same quality at 200$ , I am trying to get a scba tank instead of my pump because I am tired of pumping 3000 psi into my at44 but I am having trouble finding a nice scba tank as yours, is there anyway I could contact you and you help me?

While I do agree with Irish, he seems to be comparing his 30 minute tank with 60 minute tank prices. Most of the commercial tanks also come with high end fill system with micro bore hoses and slow fill systems. $200+ in just accessories. And these tanks are already more than 2/3 into their lifespan. These tanks are probably really good for someone who has their own compressor and wants to push it past the 15 yr life.

hmmm I don't use a 4500 psi system and I can fill my tank 1 time a year and get 20 fills maybe more now I'll count just to be sure but already filled 10 times so far since Oct 16th,I hunt/pest all the rest of the year I am running a 3600 psi steal/galvanized 80cuft. tank

So I am wanting to buy a PCP gun specifically the .357 Benjamin Bulldog but the tanks are very expensive but i have came across used 45min scott tanks for about $100 I think they are 15 years old i would only use them for a few years but im wondering if i can buy a new valve and then is there any adapters i can buy so i can fill my pcp gun? or do i have to make one and attach it to the valve like you did? thanks for your time! great videos!

I wouldn't suspect a lot of shots. I fill my Cailibers to 250 Bar. Which is 3600 psi. I get 6 Fills to 250 bar from my tank. If you go to Crossman hompage, there is a link for fills per bottle on their site for you to use.
As long as the tanks pass hydo testing. they do them at the scuba shops, than visually check the tank for damage while using it, you should be fine.
I have a question does the cubic ft or cubic inches matter in a air tank if both tanks fill to 4500 psi been confused about this can u answer this for me thanks much appreciated
Of course. Just in size, Cubic Feet is bigger. A fill PSI of 4500 is just the pressure maximum. If you look on any scuba websites. They list some of the "small" tanks in inches, as the "large ones" are in feet. Its like referring to a 12' tape measure, you wouldn't call it a 144". Similar concept. Good question, hope I answered it.
I thought CF tanks only have a 15 year service life and places will not fill them beyond that 15 year life?
I went round and round with Scott Tech staff. They state 15 year FIRE SERVICE Life. No one could state the tank life past that. It depends on your fill service center. When you buy tanks, make sure you can get them filled. I fill them myself, and working on my own compressor system (video coming soon). I found a place that will hydro my 14 year old tank and will fill them if they pass. You have to check around and "shop". I worked with HPA tanks for 25 years. Its all in your preference and what your comfortable with. A successful hydro test is a good place to start. Send me a message if you would like to know more. Thanks for pointing this out... IAG

GU day Mate, yes I learned that from the Outback Restaurant commercial on TV (Eat there a bit). You can go broke doing this on start up. I worked with HPA (High Pressure Air) since my youth, so I have experience and a nice compressor system at work. As in the US there isn't a market for the PCP other than "toys". In the US you can buy assault rifles, sniper rifles, and hand guns all day. So the PCP market is really set towards starter rifles for kids and the guy who lives in the close communities that can't shoot a shotgun or rifle for pest control. The UK boys have the demand and market. I hope my videos worked for you, and thank you for the kind comments. Good luck with the HW, superb rifles. Ebay, there are plenty of sellers. You just have to time it right. They take in Fire Department trades. If you are shooting air arms or other 2900psi/200bar fill guns, a 30 minute may do you right. But if you are into the Crickets at 4250psi/300bar, go for a 60 minute tank. Search "SCBA for sale" or "Used SCBA Bottles". Good luck my friend, thank you for the kind comment.

Also most dive shops will not fill 4500 psi
so you have to have a place that will fill it before you spend all that cash on a tank they tell you that you can fill it at your local dive shop and that is false the only place I can find to fill my tank to 3600 psi is a fire dept. and they want more than twice what a dive shop costs then if they are even running the system that day soooo this is a not so good investment unless you know for sure you have someone that can fill 4500 psi

TJ3 Slo-Flo DIN300 VALVE
The Scuba and SCBA bottles (tanks) have different valves. They are NOT compatible. If you need to buy Scuba valves. Look at online Scuba Retailers. I buy some stuff from Leisure Pro (Google it). I buy most of my items off Ebay. Just search the full, or partial part # or description, and you can refine your search from there. Good Luck, IAG
Are you sure the threads on a scuba tank and a SBA tank are the same? I've read they have different threads so just buying any old scuba adpator might not even thread onto that SCBA tank.
I have that TJ3-Slo-Flo Din300 valve its very nice but a bit pricey.

Yes sir you can. I have fellow FIreFighters who use these for their nail guns and so on. YOU HAVE TO DEDUCE the PRESSURE. You need to get a regulator to take it from 4500 psi to 100 psi or so. I know they sale scuba adaptors that take the scuba tank from 3000 to 100. We have regulators that take 4500 to 150 for use with airbags and other tools (they call it a manifold). If you do research you can find something I am sure. Other wise 4500 psi will blow your tools to pieces. You should have awesome usage with a 4500 tank once you regulate it down. Good luck.

Who fills them for you
I fill them myself. As you see in the videos, the system I explain is the system I use to fill my bottles. If you know someone who is a Firefighter, or introduce yourself to you local department. They may do it for you as long as your tank is hydro tested.

Nope, the US. I have the kids on the Discos and Marauders. We use the 25's for Hogs. I use my S-410 TDR for close range and indoor (barns and buildings) for pigeons, sparrows, and other small varmints. The S410 extra for outdoor longer ranges. The Discos put out 16 to 20 Ft Lb. That is plenty. The 25's are putting out 30 (+). I do want a 303 for deer though, was holding off for Kalibr to come out with their 9mm Cricket. Happy shooting as you say.

everyone thinks bigger is better. my rifles like lower pressure. very accurate..A flinger is a miss. and my rifles at 2000k can still punch through a 2 inch board. How much energy do you want to waste on the dirt behind your target big boy.
I agree, it takes 5 or 6 Ft Lbs to dispatch small prey. It works well in the UK for 12 Ft Lb guns. I didn't mention in this video (or recommend) high power rifles... Just supplying a PCP. With 5 or 6 PCP rifles on my range at once, that's a lot of pumping. So this system works for me. Thanks for your interest.
