You are the best UA-cam tutor in the world! I understand every single video you make and absolutely love the way you teach. Please keep going-you truly have a talent. If only you had been my Maths teacher in school, I’m sure I would have gotten an A* in my A-level Maths.
Mr Bicen, i must say thank you very vey much for everything you do to support us on our educational journey. I recently started year 12, I went from less than 20% on the AS induction test to around 60% in my most recent test just by watching these videos on the weekend before my tests and during study periods, I have my internal mocks in 2 days and i am sure that your support will help me get a good grade. I am slowly climbing the ladder until i master the topics. Thank you very much.
That's amazing, what progress to jump from 20% to 60% - well done! I hope that your mock tomorrow goes well - wishing you the best of luck, let me know how it goes!
Thanks for the feedback! I feel this shorter type content was missing on my channel - I hope people like it alongside the more detailed, deeper learning associated with the playlists! :)
This is certainly useful, id prefer to keep AS revision as short and sweet as possible so i can focus more on A2, defo do this for all of Pure Stats and Mechanics AS and A2 please!
nice video sir please make more of these they are extremely useful! I managed to do the whole of Chapter 10 yesterday in an hour just through these videos and practice
Glad you like it, and more to come - ideal for quick revision and to check you've understood the more detailed playlist, but not quite enough to learn from by itself!
What a lovely thing to say, thank you! I have adjusted some of the settings on my mic, thanks for noticing. Bicen ASMR Maths channel starting soon hahaha...
have been using your other playlists since i started y12 on recommendation of my fmat teacher. already know you're going to be my saviour!!!!! appreciate all the videos you make for us
I just started year 12 and my maths test is in 2 days. It will be about algebraic expressions and quadratics and I just wanted to say these videos are really useful
resitting a level maths. Got an E. But got 8 months purely for maths. Hoping to get A-A*. My other subjects were A* &B so gotta get the maths up to go to a russel group
@ you’re doing absolutely perfect. I’ve got a question though. I usually used to get D’a and C’s in AS maths. Should I focus on that or just start Year 2 Content? I was thinking of AS content until January but then I feel like that’ll leave me with not enough time for Year 2 content
@@kastamer3092 Hmm good question! I would recommend you planning backwards from the exam date, and setting some goals of when you need to have completed certain chapters. Make sure to leave a lot of time for revision too! You'll want to ensure that you leave enough time to complete Year 2 comfortably, but also to ensure that you have understood Year 1, too! Maybe you can push yourself to work a little harder in the next few weeks to get it done before January?
@@BicenMaths you’re saving my mocks right now, these videos are great! I can’t wait for your stats one if you’re planning on that😅 My favourite a level maths teacher! Thank you for all that you have done, you saved me last year too!
Mr Bicen, your videos are very useful, the best I've found on YT. Could you also make a video (or two) per chapter showing work-throughs of the more difficult questions from the Edexcel Pure Maths, e.g. those that are marked as 'Challenge' questions, and maybe a few of those marked P (for problem-solving) and E (for exam)? (Or maybe someone here can point me to somewhere I can find them.)
@@BicenMaths Hey thanks. Just had a quick look and I already see that Drew takes no prisoners. I think I'll saunter and strut through each of your chapter sets in preparation for stumbling through his. I'll
Omg this is amazing, I have a maths test next week on both as and a level content, but I needed something quick to jog my memory of the as content since it's been ages. Thank you!
6:20 So...I got the same powers of 2, then threw away the 2s, leaving the powers as a fraction, then thought that the numerator would be 32 times the denominator ....but it didn't work. Why is that?
You can't throw away the 2s until you have a single two on each side - it's not possible to get rid of them when they are written in fraction form, like it is at 6:20.
Hello Mr Bicen, You are really adept at reading our minds re what we desperately need/want. Are you doing this for all chapters in Pure 1 Bk and the Statistics Bk 1, please ?? Thank you !
Yes, I’m hoping to complete all of Pure A-Level maths first and see if it is something people want more of! It takes time creating questions that aim to cover the whole thing, but I’ll try my best!
hi Bicen Maths! 17:04 do I get a mark for writing it like this 3+√5 / 9+√5 = (3+√5) (9-4√5) / (9+4√5) (9-4√5)? i was taught writing it like this at gcse?
If something is written as root12, then it is positive - there is no negative sign in front of it! If it were written -root12, then of course it is negative. If we have something like x^2 = 12, then WE are the ones doing the square rooting, which leads to both the positive and negative square roots. If we just see a square root, and we haven't chosen to perform that operation ourself to solve an equation, then we just see what sign it has, and that's it! Hope that helps!
you dont understand how helpful these videos are.
It might sound very simple but the fact you show which numbers you are working with (with the red cursor) is always really helpful.
Thank you! I spent a while finding software that would allow me to do this, as I think it's really important you see what I'm looking at/gesturing to!

Will you do this for FM after you finish regular A level? If so do that would happen this year?
If this series is popular/people like it, then yes, I will be considering doing FM this year too!
I love you bro
When we square root something, how comes we never use the negative value? Ei, root 12 is always 2 root 3 never -2 root 3.
Why is square root of 2 equal to (2)1/2?
2^(1/2) is the square root of 2 because of index laws - check this video out: ua-cam.com/video/L5sOXkKEp_Y/v-deo.htmlsi=3vbv8rvFHDnxeksv
