I could give you two more moments. One is the Lewis try in 1989 in the match in Sydney while QLD players are falling injured. Another is the Dowling try in the swamp match in Sydney in 1984 from a kick from Lewis that rebounded off the cross bar and Dowling caught the ball with the his fingers to score a try. Not all the great moments happened in the 21st century matches.
That 1989 game easily the greatest origin game I’ve ever seen.

I was about 10 when I saw that Mark Coin try and I'll never forget it. The greatest ever. Show the superior fight and heart that Queensland play with, and the lack of those qualities in the NSW Origin culture.

As I age, I find myself nowhere near as parochial when it comes to other sports I like. Indeed, I'm not into as many sports as I used to be, Rugby league included. But when I see a list of Origin's best moments and complaints that they're all QLD moments, I can't help but feel my blood turn maroon as it warms up and I think, 'Why would anyone in their right mind give a fuck about NSW moments? They had all their moments when they made Queenslanders play for NSW.'

I love the Maroons, and the Coyne try is iconic, but my word there is at least three forward passes in that play.
