There 10 boys that play both sports soccer & rugby . 24 boys play soccer including those that play both soccer & rugby so to find the number of boys that play ONLY soccer we must subtract the 24 boys that play soccer including the ones that play 2 sports with the 10 boys playing both sports & that's how we got 14.
& Same goes to the boys that play ONLY rugby we subtract 28 with 10 & that's how we got 18
