A few notes: -At one point I said Wilyer Abreu wasn't that good in the minors. I didn't mean to say that he was bad (which is why I gave him a 7 later on). -Jackson Merrill had a final score of 6.5 for MLB production, but I had 6 in the slideshow. I just wanted to point out that it was a 6.5.
Easy pass for me. I'm not chasing SPs, and rainbows. I'll wait for Chrome Update as it will likely have a loaded checklist. I can't afford to buy everything the Fanatics monopoly puts out. I enjoy the videos you put out. This was well done.
series two is going to be terrible. there is no justification for ramming cj and wemby ink in it for any other reason than there is no good chase in the entire product outside of their manufactured hype for it now and they want to take advantage of their exclusive ink deals. chrome all the way.
I'm new to Collecting. It's been since the 90s lol but I'm all in. For me it's mostly baseball because I don't know much about basketball anymore. Some football. Is Bowman 2024, Topps chrome the fun boxes to get? I've been getting autos and many numbered cards from these Bowman boxes from target lol
@@MrHahaveryhappy bowman is a gamble. youre just 100% speculating on players. topps chrome is the best product, and if you can get it, people go CRAZY for logofractor - but good luck!!
Yep, no reason to waste anyone's time with this product w/ only 1 guaranteed auto per jumbo what????? Flagship chrome is the only buy (and Chrome Update)
I was given a free pack of 2024 Topps Series 2 for Fathers Day at my local card shop. It was my first pack since like 1991. I got the Masyn Winn rookie and now I'm hooked.
Bobby Witt is an awesome investment imo. Fairly low pop count in a 10, cheap (not as cheap as it was in January though.....they were like $60 then) but its a great picture of him and it has a really high chance of booming eventually imo.
I'm happy to see my guy Lawlar made your list. I've been grabbing up his stuff whenever the price is right. Even got a couple Panini autos, I don't mind them when they're on card signatures and relatively low numbered, plus they added a RC shield before Topps did which is a nice touch.
I could only assume you caught a fair amount of flak for the first vid. However that's to be expected giving the SP's and people's perspectives and biases. Appreciate the update. I really like Wyatt Langford. Great pop and speed on the bags.
The Brewers are taking their time with Choruio, especially with their glut of outfield depth. He has trouble with sliders vs righties but his minor league stats were a but skewed in AA due to the league testing tacked baseballs there last year in the 1st half. In a way, I'm glad he's not hugely successful so I can pick up this SP for cheaper 😅
@@burno7799 yeah the gold ones are the way to go for the parallels. Just for consistency’s sake since you don’t know if the other ones will stick around.
I think Chourio will be a high w.a.r. player within a few years. He basically played like 150-200 minor league games. Im glad they uavent demoted him cuz he just needs to see quality pitches imo.
I am going to be all over picking up all the NOELVI MARTE cards I can especially if everyone is basically kinda writing him off because of the suspension but HE IS A 5 TOOL SUPERSTAR IN THE MAKING!!
Short prints add to the confusion. What are their true rookies then? The fact that Topps couldn’t give the Brewer a single rookie for Topps S2 is ridiculous (Ortiz, Chourio, Hudson, Black, Myers, Dunn) Pick ONE. Dodgers have about 5. Yankees a whole bunch. Catering to the large markets and ignoring small markets is just disappointing.
i love your content but in no way would this set ever be determined to be good. it might be good for true collectors hunting specifics as you point out, but its going to be lighting money on fire for sure for pretty much everyone else. i'll buy singles if i buy anything from this, and maybe 1 hobby box just for fun and science
Wyatt Langford is trashhhh. 1 homer and it was an inside the park 😂. Supposedly an MLB-ready hitter with no real defensive value. He can hope to have a similar career to Joey Gallo

Thanks for the clip. I still really like the ‘22 rookie SPs

Agree, with multiple Witt and JRod variations. Not to mention Bryson Stott and Steven Kwon as personal favorites
@@MP5..Kwan is very underrated
Don't forget Cruz, Abrams, and Greene!
There’s also a Jackson Holliday in here supposedly.
I just pulled #700 Wyatt Langford. 👍🏼

Pretty sure he makes every list. He's been a top 10 prospect for the past 3 years.
I’m looking forward to those SP’s. All 3 are nice looking cards.
How can you tell if its a sp. And ssp? Just getting back into collecting. Any help would be appreciated..
728 and 428 last 3 digits
I found #700 by checking codes.
Im a dodgers fan and I’m buying Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

Just pulled him!
Thanks for the updated list
It wasn't said, what platforms will the ssp be in? I like to hold 2 boxes for future sale. Anyone?
Scottie, do you think they'll add these 3 sp rookies in the factory sets. Like they did in 2022 with Julio, Bobby, and Tork?
Well done my friend 🎉

Jung Hoo Lee is a hitting machine. Too bad he got injured and out for the year
And now you have to include 'Fun Face' (Jackson Holliday) it appears.......#1
I luv SP and SSP RC or none RC of my favorite player’s 😎👌💯🔥🔥🔥
I like the SP rookies. Parallels are even more confusing imo and it’s nice to have an old school just base rookie card.
I just go for the gold parallels. They are common enough and rare enough

MOSTLY CAUSE HES JUICING
@@garygordon3075 yea idk what this guy is thinking lmao its a good risk for sure but what
I really don't think major league stats should be included in these rankings. The sample sizes are so small that they are essentially meaningless.
The back of Wyatt Langford's card has his minor league stats on the back.
I GET IT BUT HAVING..ABREU, HOO-LEE MERRILL AHEAD OF MARTE LOOKS ALMOST COMICAL
So can you get like a Wyatt Langford hot dog card, or no?
JO ADELL' MINOR LEAGUE STATS WERE ALWAYS REALLY GOOD ALSO AND OBVIOUSLY IT DOESN'T ALWAYS MEAN ANYTHING
Langford only played in 44 minor league games in 2023, and only 5 were in AAA

How can you tell if a card is a short print? It confuses me with like heritage, Topps short prints etc
Why are they ruining my wyatt langford by making him an SP this makes me sad
I think we all can agree that 2021 is the worst rookie class from 2017-2024.
You say who to collect/chase.. than rag on them in future videos… 🤷🏽♂️

Imanaga based off the numbers is a far better pitcher then the over paid hype guy in LA just saying.
They are very similar in numbers, a .03 difference in WHIP and a .005 in opponents BA. Yamamoto edges him out in this case due to age difference.
@@_hk47 let's re visit this at the end of the season an see who's got the numbers
