      China needs to send Hansen Yang to a U.S. college or he will be wasted. The main problem with Chinese basketball is refusal to adopt western style. Pass it to the red hot player, focus on strength and conditioning, and don't hesitate to dunk on someone's face from time to time.
      Being polite simply don't match well. Being that, they end up wasting potential. If they keep Yang, for example in China, he will never learn American style of play. American way is aggression, rapidity, and sometimes selfish. It's ok to want to score 40 points. It's ok to not pass sometimes when you are hot.

    The problem with Chinese basketball is they are so old-fashioned. They play polite basketball. Instead of going for the dunk, they settle for a layup. They focus on non-selfish basketball. Instead of passing to the big man, who will open double teams, they spread out expecting him to pass the ball.
    China has the most 7 footers by a large margin. But, if they play polite basketball, they have a long way to go.
    The brand of basketball in an international stage just doesn't do much. There were times the team looked good and were actually catching up. While the other team was attacking the basket, they returned to polite basketball.
    It is considered rude to dunk on someone's face.
    They need to revamp the brand of basketball they play and actually develope their players abroad where they can get proper weight training, proper nutrition.
    The US basketball team in Beijing actually lost 15 pounds on average by just eating Chinese food, not the kind of food you want to be eating if you want to build muscle.

    • @ry_an.
      @ry_an. 24 дні тому

      Well Chinese food is more dog, horse, snake, raccoon than anything

    • @asianbaseballers
      @asianbaseballers 24 дні тому

      @ry_an. Most chinese don't eat dog. 70% have never tried it once. Horse meat is more widely eaten; however, it can get pretty pricey and not well to do families can't afford it.
      These types of meat are lean meats and don't have a lot of fat content; however, the amount of meat used per dish is not excessive like in the west. In Asia, seeing a 12 Oz steak on someone's plate is rare unless they are well to do rich folks.
      This has changed as the overall consumption in meats and cow diary has upticked 10x, resulting in rapid growth of the younger generations, as Asians as a whole are the fastest growing individuals right now. We see this in Korea, Japan, and China. They are taller than their grandfathers. But, the servings of meat are just proportion to what a person can eat. Eating more meat than usual is necessary to gain muscle. This explains why most people who go to Asian countries will lose a pound or two and why most Asian people are skinnier than western people.
      This stunning uptick in height in Asian people is also prevalent in the Asian-American community; however, they tend to be a lot heavier. Even 25 years ago, it was difficult to find 6 foot Asians, but now you suddenly see them around. It was practically unheard of 25 years ago. Not saying they are all tall like that. What I mean is that it is more prevalent, suggesting that statistics is correct.
      Chinese basketball needs to develope Nasty players, those who will dunk on your face, push you around, and have 2 selfish players in a team who will serve as their leaders and go-to guys. This polite style of basketball just simply don't fare well against western competition. The way to do this is to send some of their 18-year Olds to college in the U.S. where they can learn American style basketball that is nasty, rough, impolite, and sometimes selfish.
