You can't jump in on squirrel's skip because his skip is hitting you as the chance to jump in occurs, you also can't jump In if it would be your turn anyway.
I actually play like Delirious while playing UNO, when I put down a Wild Card or the Draw Four Version of the Wild Card I choose the color that I don't have, sometimes that works, but I do change the color alot whenever I'm able to.
