This is a great conversation! Thank you girls. As a first generation immigrant from mainland China and a mum, I find your conversation eye-opening and delightful!! I am so glad that I come across your channel and am going to catch up with your other videos on this channel! Thank you and keep the good work!!
@@NotYourAsianWomen That would be wonderful!! I might not be your typical Asian tiger mum, but I agree with what you said in this video. I used to have trouble to praise my daughter for her achievements in public, but I am very proud of her. It used to be very hard for me to voice my love and express my affection to her, but I am willing to learn. and it becomes easier every time I tell her that I love her. I think what you said about dating and marrying Asian men are also very true. I had to deal with my ex and ex-in-laws and took a lot of abuse from them which eventually lead to my divorce. The Asian tradition does not value daughters as much as sons. If this culture does not change, the consequence will be born by Asian men even though it might not be their faults. It makes them not just unattractive to Asian women but to any women. No one should take the sort of abuse dealt to young Asian women in their own culture. I love your work and might make more comments on your other videos, hope you won't be annoyed by my comments!!
First time checking out this channel, and I have to say, the host did a great job! The girl on the left mentioned that she came to America at 17 or 18, which is a common age for many Chinese international students (FOBs) studying in North America. However, throughout her comments, she seems to project an attitude that implies, 'Oh, those FOBs are rude and uncivilized, but I’m different-I’m more American.' Ironically, she actually comes across as more rude and inconsiderate of others' feelings in this video, essentially mirroring the very behavior she criticizes in 'rude FOBs.' It's also worth noting that many Asian parents in Asia today are far more open-minded and considerate in education compared to those who immigrated to the U.S. decades ago.
This is a great topic, thanks for sharing. Although I'm a guy, I would expect I won't be able to get some of the things you're saying, but I find 99% of the time I get it.
Puerto Rican and Columbian here with a great Korean guy. I can relate because my Hispanic parents can be just as abusive and narcisstic as many Asian parents. My mother especially would make a big stink about me putting myself first many times because she would never give me an allowance everything I had even today I worked for it and yes that is true barging in my room without knocking just to talk shit and taking things without asking, then theres the expectation of being submissive and the disappointment that none of my white boyfriends are rich and will not take care of her drunk ass in the event we get married. One day I told my wonderful Chinese friend who is absoulutely gorgeous mind you while we were talking about his son and reminiscing how long he and I have been friends when we were joking around I said "Honey I love you for tonight but not tomarrow because you're way too traditional for me". We both laughed. Anyways nobody or nothing is perfect you is so important to find your right kind of crazy.
I grew up in Boston which is mad white, didn't even matter which bar/club I would go out to, would see a fight every night. Girls included, back in the day before uber I saw a white girl pull out another white girl by the hair to fight over a cab. Winter in Boston is wicked cold. Bay is pretty tame and less racist compared to the east coast.
Here from @hishersthetruthpodcast Interesting insight. I don't date Asians either 😅 Not that I don't like my Chinese culture, but I don't wanna deal with more asian parents ha ha 😂
whats this whole asian thing asia is a masively huge continent. the far east is not the only region of asians or asian people. for example iraniands are asian and caucasoid and indo european origin but still they are asians. so are indians sub continenters.
Great insight shared by these two wonderful ladies....

In general, they can be overbearing. And judgy. Lol.

she doesn't present she's mainlander. Cantonese and taiwanese have different stories.
That’s not her real accent right?
Not even ABC speaks that way
It is a real accent. :)
It sounds like a US southern accent
ABC’s mindset are lame as shit
Fax Fobs are just better ABCs anyway. Most ABCs are just some self-hating “banana people” who are white on the inside and yellow on the outside.
