Great video and a big help. I have a laptop with two external monitors and when I first plugged my Wacom tablet in, the monitors and laptop screen kept switching off and on until the laptop crashed and rebooted. I disconnected the external monitors and started the laptop with the tablet connected. In Wacom Tablet Properties, in the Mapping tab, I set the screen area to a portion if Monitor 1 (the laptop screen). I was then able to use the external monitors without any problems. I found I can set the screen area to all of Monitor 1 without any scaling errors. Everyone's system is different but this worked for me.
Thank you VERY much! I got a Wacom tablet to use for distance tutoring, so am doing the same type of things you do in your teaching. (All the other tutorials are for artists and photoshop users.) I'll disable the unnecessary buttons and add calculator to my shortcut buttons. Now I can actually start using this!
Hi! Thanks for creating a helpful video. However, I would like to comment on a couple of things. 1) I use dual-monitor. You can use "Wacom Tablet Properties" > "Mapping" option to map the monitor area with the tablet. 2) I respect your experience of 10 years but the technology has evolved and if there are buttons on the pen, then it must have been put after a lot of research. So IMO, I would rather encourage viewers to go and learn how to best use the buttons without them being a hurdle. This improves productivity.
I have colleagues that use dual monitors with great success. I was just trying to get folks up and running quickly without too much set up. Early success
clearly explained in very very nice. Thank you . I have a XP-Pen Star G640 Graphics Tablet that works good with OpenBoard whiteboard app . I use it for teaching and conferences primarily and for annotating histopathology slides. OpenBoard can open most graphics files whole directories at a time which is great for me. It also can save your pages in .pdf form which is great for meetings.
I bought the wacom intuos in June. Intended to use it for web conferencing presentation or for teaching just like you. My intention was it will work directly after its software has been installed without the need for a third-party app/software. I could not use this device to annotate in MS Word, PDF file or in a presentation. Could you please tell me what software i would need to install in order to achieve result as you in this video? what are the supporting software needed to annotate in conference presentation and to annotate in PDF or word documents or power point slide like you demonstrated here..
I'm thinking about buying this tablet for use in OneNote for my Math courses, seems like a good investment now with College classes being online now until further notice.
Great video! very instructive and useful for beginners. I was wondering, what would you recommend to teachers of older age who want to start using the WACOM, but are not used to digital teaching?
Powerpoint you can edit multiple slides without having to clear the slide in order to move onto the next. So Powerpoint slides is much better for that case. If you only need 1 slide then you dont need Powerpoint.
Great. As a novice, can you tell me if i can type something on Word and use the drawing pad simultaneously to teach live both in a live lesson, say on Zoom or Skype?
I am sold on this. I did this years ago on a convertible tablet PC and learned to enjoy the flexibility. But it wasn't mine. Maybe I need to buy a tablet of some kind.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I would like to purchase a tablet like this for my parents who are both teachers, but they need a tablet where they can see what they are writing, they won't use this one because it's difficult to write as you can only see what you are writting when you look at the computer screen. Do you have any recommendations?
The Rule for no dual monitors isn't really making much sense. You downlaod the drivers for the tablet you have and choose which monitor you want to target and that's it
What surface are you drawing on, on the screen? If I use a whiteboard app, I can write on that using the Wacom or I can use the pen keyboard but I can't just write on the screen. I was wondering if it took some transparent fullscreen app so the underlying desktop or apps would be visible but I could write on the transparent app, giving the appearance of writing on the desktop or other app. I can't find anything to do that so I'm able to write overlaying the desktop or other apps on the screen. Any tips or ideas? Wacom is zero help; I can't figure out how they stay in business, selling a capable hardware product but offering no usable software with it.
In the minute 2:35, you write over the tablet and change color. Use a program special or the Wacom not need programs. Please I need to Know. thank you.
WHat's the software u are using to write? I have a intuos and ive been searching all over their website for a software like that but no luck. I'm using a iOS
I have a question🤔, but firstly.. deep thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience about this type of devices. I wonder how are the numbers of needed storage on my computer would look like if i used that to cmpletely hand write a book of let's say 100 pages.. how much mega/gigabytes would i need to save the output of 100 pages written with wacom ??
Sir thank thank u so much it's really very helpful to me I was searching right video demo , finally ur video was helpful. Just tell me how did u get that circuit into the slide pls help me with that , actually iam searching for that part only how to include circuit
3:01 completely wrong. I am using dual monitors and the solution is to simply go to the settings. And the fun thing is you can actually choose on which screen you would like to draw with your tablet and also regulate the drawing area - half a screen for example. Find this under "Mapping" when you open your 'wacom tablet properties'. Not only that you can adjust settings for different apps. Well at least comes with the newer tablet 2020.
would love your help! I am a professor of nursing and have this tablet (the newer one) and Im trying to make it work in word and my PPT presentations but I cannot figure out how to use this with my Mac. I can't find the windows ink workspace like you have. Any help would be helpful
Hi Catherine, I'm not familiar with the MAC as I'm a PC guy. That being said I primarily use Powerpoint in presentation mode and don't even need Windows ink space as the tablet acts like a mouse. I can sketch on the top of slides in presentation mode.
Did you find out the solution for your problem?? I am looking for the same thing for Mac. Plus, I need to be able to annotate on PDF files while recording my annotations as well as my voice as I am teaching. Any advise or recommendation is appreciated.
Thank you for the video! I have a question: while it is switched on, can I still use the mouse? Or once I am using it the mouse connected to the laptop becomes inactive?
I'm using a free version of Flashback 5 to record the screen for video lessons. It's really useful to have all things running - webcam (my students like to see a face), flashback which allows you to demonstrate software really well, and will now add the wacom for annotations. By the way I use Olive which is a GREAT free video editor to put the lot together. Only bind is that I'm having to use my home desktop as my school laptop is way too slow.
I have a wacom right now and it's just not working. Hasn't ever worked properly so I didn't plan on getting one again . Hopefully I can find a XP-PEN Deco 03 wireless tablet. I've heard good things about them.
I really need help, Im a new wacom user but when I was setting up the software, it said the version was 10.11 - 10.13 (I own a 10.11 mac) so I picked that option but once I had installed it, it said the the version was 10.13 and up so after panicking for 15 minutes, I contacted wacom online but Im a new wacom user so I don't know what wacom meant by 'you have a case # blah blah blah blah' so now Im just stuck with a software to advanced for my computer *please help me*
Try downloading a older Wacom driver from here to see if this works for you. It will show the products it supports. www.wacom.com/en-gb/support/product-support/drivers
thank you, teacher, I have a Wacom Intuos small, but I don't know How to write over the superficial of the Wacom and pen change the color. Please I need to learn. Congratulations.
Is wacom will help me in teaching online easyer than using apen writing on a tablet like samsung note which is more better for me in teaching online wacom or samsung note tablet??
Wacom has specific product models for teaching(Online/offline).These models have display on the device for better hand-eye coordination.. These are available from 10" to 24" screen size- ua-cam.com/video/c5te3JFzNhc/v-deo.html
Let me introduce you to an even better built-in Windows app. Type "Microsoft Whiteboard" and you get a clean canvas to work with. You can even change the background colors or into a grid/graph background.😄

I got my wacom today, and when I tested it, my writing is totally like one I had when I was in kindergaten😂
Thanks for the encouragement anyway😁
Ha! I experienced the same thing! I am practicing a lot!
You are a pro in this.. look at the way u inserted the image of the wacom pad and explained clearly.. nowhere I ve seen this.. thank you..
You can use it with dual monitors if you set the active area to just one monitor via the pen preferences.
You just made this Wacom Tablet become so useful and thank yo so much for sharing. God bless you.

OMG. It is a great helpful and way better than I have been using for the last 6 month of searching. Thanks a lot.
Thanks for this great video. Very useful for professors who have had to move to an all online lecture process!
Thanks. Good info. I'm a high school teacher and this would be a great addition to my workflow.
I have already ordered for my HUION graphics tablet for online teaching. Great video
Thank you! This is exactly what I needed to whiteboard in online meetings.

Thanks for posting this ... I was scared about not being able to use dual monitor!

Thank you! This helps me immensely, getting set up with my Wacom tablet.
Thank you! I was wondering if this tablet could help me to write chemical formulas, and your video helped me a lot.
First useful advice I've found. Thanks.
Very good description of how useful is this thing. Thank you

Can you change the color of the pen with the pen buttons or the tablet buttons?
how do you know where you will draw on the document before touching the pen to the tablet? does it show any clues when the pen approaches the tablet?
I'm thinking about buying this tablet for use in OneNote for my Math courses, seems like a good investment now with College classes being online now until further notice.
yes its very good i have many experience
Which model you have experience of
Great video! very instructive and useful for beginners. I was wondering, what would you recommend to teachers of older age who want to start using the WACOM, but are not used to digital teaching?
Thank you so much. What a great presentation, very helpful! 🙏🏼
My drawing tablet works with dual monitors but only on one screen. I can pick which screen though.
Nice! Yes it should work. I've just had trouble selecting which on I'm on which changes the resolution.
U dont need to right click and select eraser. There are two buttons which u can set to erase and write in the pen
Pls send amazon or flipkart link.
How do you get that graph in to the Zoom whiteboard to write on it? Thank you.
I take your point about persevering with the pen when writing, but what is about the pen/tablet that is making me write like a kindergarten?
Excellent video!! I ve been working with Notebook as well!
newer tablets can do extended screens (dual monitors) with no problem
I am sold on this. I did this years ago on a convertible tablet PC and learned to enjoy the flexibility. But it wasn't mine. Maybe I need to buy a tablet of some kind.
What if you use those buttons for zooming in and zooming out, and not the one for eraising?
Thank you so much for sharing this. I would like to purchase a tablet like this for my parents who are both teachers, but they need a tablet where they can see what they are writing, they won't use this one because it's difficult to write as you can only see what you are writting when you look at the computer screen. On Amazon, there are many different Wacom devices, cheaper ones to pricey ones. I don't know which one to buy. Plz help.
The Rule for no dual monitors isn't really making much sense.
You downlaod the drivers for the tablet you have and choose which monitor you want to target and that's it
need to show pointer while recording video.............how can i do that??? pointer is disappearing after recorded video
Can I use this with a Mac? I am a college professor and I often teach online. I would like to project the tablet screen writing to the students.
I am a Mathematics teacher. Could you please guide me which WACOM tablet I should buy ?

Do you have to do anything special to save your annotations on your slide or just in general?
How to know the exact point of writing on screen? Is it visible what we writing on a tablet?
In the minute 2:35, you write over the tablet and change color. Use a program special or the Wacom not need programs. Please I need to Know. thank you.
Great mitigating video
I use mouse with ms onenote so I reckon this would be more useful than the mouse
WHat's the software u are using to write? I have a intuos and ive been searching all over their website for a software like that but no luck. I'm using a iOS
Do you have to download or purchase separate software to do this? How do I actually write on the screen and change colors, lines, etc?
I have a question🤔, but firstly.. deep thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience about this type of devices.
I wonder how are the numbers of needed storage on my computer would look like if i used that to cmpletely hand write a book of let's say 100 pages.. how much mega/gigabytes would i need to save the output of 100 pages written with wacom ??

Does wacom works in zoom`s board?

Did you found some software which able to OCR handwritten formulas, or detect and make vector schemas from the drawing tablet input?
This was awesome thank you. In your powerpoint you have the tip clicking and you have that drop menu come up. What setting is that? Thanks

Just tell me how did u get that circuit into the slide pls help me with that , actually iam searching for that part only how to include circuit
I create circuits in MultiSim or in MS Visio then paste them into the slide

what wacom model is that? did i miss it in your presentation?

@@n.bazaid9283 no. Unfortunately. I’ve called Wacom they are not helpful. I found that zoom has a white board feature. Let me know if you find one.
Which one is most germane for teaching btech and mtech tsudents where we find applications of integration trignometry and differentiation ,
what about pdf annotation. i will love if you can do review with the one with screen for pdf reading and annotation
Is there a way to also get the cursor recorder? I use Camtasia for screen recording and they couldn't help. They said it a Microsoft issue.
Came for the tablet, stayed for the Ohm's law shit
Excellent video sir. Quick question. Can it be used to annotate word documents? Thank you.
Question answered. Should have watched the video till the end. Thanks.
May I know what writing software are you using?
hes using powerpoint
Thank you for the video!
I have a question: while it is switched on, can I still use the mouse? Or once I am using it the mouse connected to the laptop becomes inactive?
You can use both at the same time
Is it easy to use it to make videos in UA-cam .
Hi, thanks for this useful video. How do you configure the express key to show of the scientific calculator?
Which software need. How to record video with audio.
I use Logitech Capture for screen capture. That is seperate from the tablet itself.
Does it have auto translate of words and numbers..
Which model is this?
Can I do video recording of a physics or a Maths class on this tablet ?
No
No
No. You need a screen recorder like screencastify or screencastomatic.
I'm using a free version of Flashback 5 to record the screen for video lessons. Thank you so much!
Can you suggest a good model number for Wacom... If there are many how do we chose
Great Video! How do you make sure that the next line you start is below the previous one? You get what I mean? 😅
You hover the pen above the tablet, and the mouse pointer moves around like a mouse
Paul's comment is spot on!
Thanks Gentlemen!
@@paul_vlad can u explain a bit more?
Which size of pen tab use for online teaching
thank you so much. it helps me a lot.
Does it work on pdf files, too?
It is possible to use a dual monitor provided you choose select a specific screen
I should hope so. Not everyone can use a laptop screen!
thanks for this video
Sir can we use WACOM graphic Tablet while laptop connected to projector?

You can use dual monitors and only mask the tablet to one monitor in the WACOM Settings!
101.wacom.com/UserHelp/en/Mapping.htm
You are aware you can easily fix the multiple monitor issue, right?
How
How did you record your voice
Can Wacom CTL 472 do the same thing like your tablet?
Absolutely! The tablet is basically like a mouse except that mouse allows you to write, draw, change colors with ease.
Wacom has specific product models for teaching(Online/offline).These models have display on the device for better hand-eye coordination.. These are available from 10" to 24" screen size-

if you have a large display it's not too bad with OneNote
Yes, but it takes some getting used to. Writing will be messy at first.

Very good .
Excellent advices. Thank you. I teach chemistry and i´m thinking to get one.
