Thanks for sharing! I did my first ever commissioned kitbash last month and it was a nice change of pace. Instead of getting into a hobby rut being self-critical, I got to enjoy the commissioner's feedback throughout the process. The one bit of advice I got from friends, contrary to your method, was to always charge a deposit. I didn't in this case, and was immediately asked to do another commission for the same client. So I didn't charge a deposit again, but for whatever reason the client stopped communicating. No big deal, this isn't what I make a living on. But I feel I really do need to charge a deposit moving forward because I'm stuck with a custom model that may or may not ever be wanted by someone else. Happy hobbying!
What model?

@@qsminis that sounds awesome 👊🏼
Just wanted to say how much I enjoy your musical selectinos each and every video. Thanks!
Thanks! I spend quite some time picking music 🎶 😅
I don't really enjoy commission painting, mostly through lack of time, but it can be a nice way of painting different models without cluttering up your own shelves. Plus, a good way to make your hobby pay for your hobby.
Fantastic, thanks for the tips and sharing your knowledge.
What a great colour scheme! They look brilliant!
great colour theme love it!!!
Great video. Big fan of the rising tide lifts all ships saying!
Interesting video. No danger of me being a commission painter tho😂
Is it okay to commission paint only using contrast paints?
Good tips, but I disagree on not taking a deposit, butI do make exceptions for small jobs (usually a single model). I got burned early in my commission painting 'career' and it really sucked.
I'm sorry to hear you got burned! These tips were just my opinions, so points like yours are definitely valid and worth taking note of!
Playback was blank screen....audio only. Sucks.
Seems that everyone elses was fine judging by all the comments.
