Not quite. The season starts on December 10. I did the count and they will be at episode 9 on this week. Wonder if they will drop more than one episode one week to catch up.
@@lilybond1124 i think the reaction for s5e10 will Dropbox on the 12th. of december so they could do a reaction if they upload the 9th. and 10th. episode at once

@@Timmayytoo I didn't say anything that was not provided in previous episodes. In fact, I provided much less detail than what has been provided in previous episodes. So what exactly is your concern?
The rock that took out the station wasn't meant to break up. It got broken up due to the gravitational forces from the sun, much like Shoemaker- Levy 9 did with Jupiter. Once that happened it could be seen and thus the station was sent alerted and was sent to observe it. Of course if they looked too closely, they'd find some stealth tech and thus Filip was sent to make sure that they didn't.
@@Dj2xP so i rewatched the scene and there are small chunks of the rock that are pulled towards the sun but it looks like it broke apart because on side got heated up more than the other side and that that way there was tension in the rock, which caused it to break. How would that rock break because of gravity?
@@kevinjustin7646 It's probably unlikely as you would need some sort of gas that would be contained in and enough quantity to cause an explosive decompression and I don't think asteroids really have that. I'm not sure if there's anything that would make an asteroid explode in space if it were heated enough. But I'm not an astrophysicist so I should do a little search. But I just feel that gravitational stresses are what caused the rock to split apart.
@@kevinjustin7646 I would just be paraphrasing scientist who can explain this better (I'm just a fan of the series that has looked up a lot of the science behind it). If I'm not mistaken the writers also commented on this. But it's something like: if the gravitational force affecting an object is greater than the force holding something together it just breaks apart and the sun has a massive gravitational effect capable of doing such things. (I believe the burning effect was the stealth tech just melting away, not the actual rock)
Nobody mentioned it. But the new tattoos on Naomi at 9:35 are actually an Easter egg. The Tat is an homage to the UA-cam channel Spacedock logo because of some collaboration they did together to flesh out all the Expanse ships. I thought it was very nice of the show runners so thought I share.
Yeah, I was wondering that. I've seen season 5 a year ago, but totally forgot his name. I've been reading book 3 for the past month, and I imagined Bull to be the guy from season 5. Now through this reaction, I realized it is actually him xD
you guys please feel free to pace yourselves on the discussion, speak as much as your heart's content lol Love your inputs about Inaros, and what this season can bring to Amos.
I swear Marco Inaros is one of my favourite characters up there with Amos. The charisma and the presence of the actor is so on point, I really believe he's a fanatical sociopath, I would 100% be on his side if I were a belter not gonna lie. 10/10 acting by Keon Alexander.
he strong armed all belters into a war that most of them didn't want, and a war that they most likely would lose. all by using an terrorist attack that gave earth every possible excuse to wipe out all belters from the face of the system without question. he is like Bin Laden attacking the twin towers. what I liked about the attack is that the writer was aware of the consequences, he made sure to show how most belters that decided to follow Inaros did so because they realized they had no other option, and they were pissed because of it. so while for me Inaros, at least in the show, is a very cartoonish villain, the consequence of his actions make complete sense.
@@award3321 almost… NO ONE is Captain James Flint!! Black Sails has the best characters of all time (Vane, Jack, Anne, Silver, Billy, Madi, Miranda, Flint… I mean really). Amos is close to BS status characters, Inaros is the bomb and I enjoyed him even though he is a villain to beat most villians!!
Such an AMAZING season for character growth. And I really liked how it is centered on other main characters we know but really haven’t dove too deep into yet; other than Holden. Amos calling Chrisjen “Chrissy” is easily one of the funniest damned things said on this show. Man is he such an awesome character. The same with Marcos. The actors are just so effing good at their craft. Enjoy it!! One book note: the character Bull is written differently in the books and kind of became what Drummer has been in this. But honestly I love the way the show portrays Drummer better.
Some (paraphrased) meta-humor about the Chrissy scene: After this episode Ty (one of the authors) tweeted out that Amos totally would have hooked up with Avasarala if she had shown any interest. To which Avasarala's actress replied "Why didn't anyone tell me?!"
@@franciscooctavius5957 Shohreh Aghdashloo seems like an absolutely lovely person in real life. I'm also really amused by all the times she posts stuff on twitter shipping Avasarala and Bobbie.
The show undersells the Belters I think, but they do their best. That crew at the beginning breaking into the science array are basically space ninjas.
If you're overseas, there are places that are opened by ex-pats where there's a pub or something like that. I was in Hong Kong one time and watched a Bears/ Packers game at 7 am in a "american bar" I think they sy served burgers and fries. I think Japan might have some American themed restaurants that might be more kitschy.
I was waiting to see Eric respond to Amos' shower fight. Wes Chatham is a silly and funny guy, but he can channel that ege. You guys should check out the Ty and That Guy podcast with Ty Frank (one of the book authors) and Wes. It is excellent.
Met him the other day. I actually made him laugh a bit commenting on how in 3/6, he went from "I AM that guy" to "What the fuck is THAT?" While making food for some kids in 5 minutes.
I hadn't thought of the mechanical bull thing, in the Western-themed bar. Man, that thing would throw somebody *really far* in 0.38G. :) As for Western bars in other countries, I used to know a guy who spent several of his teenage years in Japan, because he was an Army brat. He got a job wearing a cowboy outfit in a bar, and his *whole job* was to speak English with the patrons. Paid well, too, I guess. :) Most of the Vietnamese restaurants in Denver's Little Saigon neighborhood have "secret menus" for people who know to ask. Nah, they detected the pieces of the broken-up asteroid and it was weird enough (because of the stealth covering) that they sent a research vessel to check it out. Inaros saw that, and sent Filip and his crew to intercept the ship and snip off the intel leak.
I like the theory that the civilisation that made the rings as a 3 on the Kardashev scale which means they harness the power of multiple solar systems and the blob/wraith civilisation that destroyed them is on 4-5 (doesn’t exist in real life) but you could say that this is a civilisation that exists across multiple dimensions, universes or in a way we can’t comprehend, like if the ring builders and humans move in a straight line, this other race can move up, down or diagonally, we just can’t comprehend what they are or how they function

The Western themed bar makes sense on Mars because the initial main colonists were from Texas, India, and China I believe.
