Years ago, a friend hinted at me that she wanted me to co-sign for an apartment for her. I was young but even back then I knew I could get into all sorts of financial trouble if I signed and she couldn’t keep up with the rent. I changed the subject every time she brought it up until she stopped mentioning it…Her sister ended up co-signing and just like I thought, she wasn’t able to keep up with the rent so it fell on her sister until the lease was up and she was forced to move out!
Yes, it can be a risky situation which is why I’ve only done it for my children.
@cherylT321 I made a mistake many years ago. My brother and his wife needed a place to live. Asked me to co-sign for a reduced price trailer. I did. It was a nightmare his wife would hide the late notices. I got disgusted. I moved out of state my brother had divorced and living in trailer. It was repossessed and I was not notified. I had to pay a much higher interest rate on my house or vehicles for many years. A valuable experience. He asked me to cosign a loan for his second wife. I said no way! Never sign for anyone. There is a reason someone needs a co-signer.
@vixxcottage I only sign for my kids.
@@PenniestoDollarswell an old friend signed for student loans and off site house for 5 years for a 4 year degree. Daughter flunked out and can't go back. She is on the hook for $100,000-$200,000. Nothing to show for all of that money. I tell everyone be ⚠️ cautious.
I understand. I knew my kids would be responsible and not let me down.
When I'm using an ingredient that's getting low, I use half (or less) of what I normally would to stretch it until 1) I go the grocery store; 2) it becomes available in my garden; and/or 3) I have the money to replace it. I learned to do this when I lived on a farm 20 miles from the nearest grocery store, 8 miles down a dirt road. It helps you make good with (i.e. manage) what you already have! 🙂
❤️
Yes I come up on farm to and I do like you do too I hate to even go to the store. I live in country now and that is what I love.
😁🏡🚜
Thank you for all of the inspiration this was once again a wonderful video. You are an out of the box thinker and that's what makes you the wise lady that you are!

I was sharing with my husband yesterday your technique of growing the vegetable scraps indoors. When I told him how much I would save by doing the green onion that way he was so excited he said sounds good to me. We've got room in the garden for it!
It doesn’t take very long when she buy them and stick them in water for them to root out so you can plant. I let mine get pretty big and then chop and freeze.
Awesome
Thank you Bonita for the reminder about how to grow the vegetables indoors. I started with some green onion yesterday that I had in my veggie drawer of my refrigerator. We have room in our garden to add that once it starts sprouting so I'm very excited about that.
Yay!!!

Thanks 😊

I love red dirt roads!😊

Another thing that has really been a blessing for us is a dining discount pass that we get through an organization that we belong to. And yesterday when I took my son out to do some clothing shopping which is typically very hard for him to do I told him that I would treat him to lunch. I found one of the deals on my pass was a buy one get one free sub from Jersey Mike's. We were able to take advantage of that and I was able to save $11 on a sub that would have cost me that much had I had to buy both of them full price. This particular deal I actually had four of them so I was able to use the very last one that I had so that was truly a blessing for us and a real money saver. When I purchased the dining discount pass when we first joined the organization it was a deal where it only cost $10 because we were new subscribing to it. Had we bought it full price it would have cost us $25. It's good for 6 months and we've already saved over $60.❤
✅✅ Great!

I activated my 5% cash back with discover for Walmart and grocery stores. I use my Discover when I grocery shop so I'm looking forward to that added cash back. My husband and I are actually looking for that cash back to build enough to get a restaurant gift card to give to a dear neighbor of my mother-in-law's who we want to bless and thank for taking such an interest and spending time with my mother-in-law when she is available.
How sweet❤️

So happy for you that you'll be able to move your money into a more profitable cd.😊
I was shocked how much interest rates have dropped on our money market.

Another great deal I got yesterday on my way home from running errands with my son we needed just a little bit of half and half to get us through till I can go grocery shopping in a couple of days. I remembered that I had a 30% off a full price item from cvs. I stopped in they had a small container of half and half it was a little pricey but with my 30% off I was able to save that amount which made it much more affordable. And will get us through until I can get to the grocery store again.
I love those CVS coupons!

I know where my daughter and her boyfriend live is an expensive apartment. And they had to pay extra to have their dog
Yep, these days it is so expensive

I’m curious how you handle dental bills. I make great efforts to save money and then the surplus is used for dental care. A dilemma.
We use credit called care credit that gives you six months to pay it off without interest. I’ve had a lot of dental work done prior to retiring that was very expensive. You just have to make sure you pay it off before that six months.
Dental bills are real "budget busters"!! My dentist gives a 5% senior discount. He used to give 10%. Grrrr.....
If you have no pension/ssa-are you making enough from social media to pay monthly bills without withdrawals from savings?
I have a small income from property and I’m living on that. And no, social media does not pay very well for a small channel like mine.
But your husbands wages helps pay the bills, doesn’t it?
He helps with his half of food, Internet and electric which are minimal as I’ve shared in my budget. Whether one or both of us are working, does not affect our low budget.
ok, you are using credit cards. Not a good idea at all
I use them to stack deals and pay off right after, no interest.
This area looks depressing
I love it out here
I think it looks beautiful. Just personal preference. I would never want to live in a big city apartment, would feel like a prisoner.
Thank you, Dora
Looks beautiful to me.
