The practice started in the Sikh Panth around the 15th century. It is clear from the message of unity and brotherhood that we get from the teachings of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji that the Langar system was started during the time of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Wherever he went, living with Bala-Mardana, he used to eat food while sitting on the ground.🙏🙏

It is heard that punjabi are Big hearted who help different sections of the people without any distinction in caste creed colour sex and religion. I hope other communities and religions need to learnt so many from them. May be they are Guruwaras most of them. From here , it can seen no one is left out hungry . Even the animals who don't have any inter connection with them , yet foods of left over be given to animals. What an incredible blessing in return.🙏🔥

These people are an example of solidarity. Un example to the world. I can only wish other countries could imitate them. Speechless Thanks for sharing.

Hey!!So good to see you in amritsar, if you are still I'll tell you a place to visit. The jallianwala bagh. It's near the golden Temple. It is about the firing when General O Dyer said to kill all the people in that park. Hundreds of them were killed. And then Sardar Udham Singh ji took the revenge of that. It happened in 1919 and he took revenge in 1940 by killing General O Dyer in london

Amazing. If these people who have nearly nothing can come together and make a huge difference, imagine what people who have much could do if they put philanthropy first. It just goes to show that you can never outlive God. The more you do for others the more God blesses you. Kindness goes a long way.
