      I am so confused why your comment was marked as spam lol. I really enjoyed playing the Mega Man Anniversary for the Gamecube. I really enjoyed that system. I have alot of duplicates from just being on the hunt at flea markets, goodwills and such. I have never really used Ebay or anything as a means to sell stuff. I use them for trading power and stuff now however when i work towards geting more games for the system at hand.

      Nice man. I just went to your channel to see if you had a video collection video. Hopefully you get one up in the near future. I checked out some of your other stuff and I really like the ideal of the First five you do. That is a easy way to get some more stuff on the channel and such. My favorite gaming related channel on youtube so far is called Game Trailers and Kyle Bosman which is one of the host on there does a little series call the first 15 and he plays games he has never heard of or have never played and he more or less comes to a verdict based off the first 15 minutes of gameplay. It is pretty cool, I have been thinking about doing something simuler to that.

    Hey we have something in common! SMW is also by favorite console game of all-time. I was 10 when it came out and boy I couldn’t have been more hyped about a game/system. As a kid who loved SMB2 and SMB3 during it’s time, when I first saw the commercial for SMW/SNES, I lost my mind.

    great n64 collection, i myself have about 130 games CIB but not all are in the condition of your games, i want to have a full pal setlist, if you want the complete collection dont forget about the australian exclusives

    • @tadpole1313
      @tadpole1313  11 років тому +1

      Thankfully for me I am only going for a Complete NTSC set. The games get pretty pricy and the amount of time it takes to find some of these games are really hard. I have came along way since making this video, I am down to about the last 30 or so games :) If you manage to get a full Pal list I can imagine that being pretty hard. I am not sure if they have a bunch in different languages or not which will make them harder to get in English for pal.

    • @leonkennedy793
      @leonkennedy793 11 років тому

      tadpole1313 Yeah, all pal games are at least in english, but the australian exclusives especially starcraf 64 have insane prices, and the rarity of the games is different from each region, for example worms in europe is comum but in US is rare and expensive, blue brothers 2000 is comm in US and the pal version is very rare, thankfully there is no sculptor's cut, super bowning and indiana jones in europe. Good luck for finishing your n64 collection it´s great, people don´t realize how tough is a complet n64 CIB set

    • @tadpole1313
      @tadpole1313  11 років тому +1

      Obi-Wan Kenobi
      Yea, I still need Indiana Jones and Worms. I hate how pricy they are lol. I ave see people online get complet sets and switch it up between pal and NTSC. Like they will get the PAL worms and then the NTSC Blues Brothers. Stuff like that. The few complete boxed N64 collection I have seen online that are complete NTSC I dont think the people who have them relize how hard they are to get now. most of them have had it for so long lol

  • @benjaminmcmillian8268
    @benjaminmcmillian8268 9 років тому +1

    Did he say he paid $300 for all of those boxed snes games?! Holy crap you must have some very generous friends because that is one hell of a deal! Great collection man.

    • @tadpole1313
      @tadpole1313  9 років тому +1

      Benjamin Mcmillian It was a pretty awesome deal. There was a few in there that I did not get in that lot but I believe it was exactly 53 games I got in box for $300 bucks and a handful were factory sealed. My buddy who owned the store got the crazier deal however and by the time I found out about it the 53 games I got wa what he had left. He started off with over 1000 games that he paid a total of $2000 dollars for at a thrift store. Since he is a business owner and not a collector they went to Amazon and he informed me he made over $18,000 dollars profit. When I offered him $300 I felt like I was kinda low bawling but at the same time I was not to famuler with complete in box game prices so I was not sure. His wife looked like she wanted to kill him when he accepted the offer. But he did it as a favor to me because he knew they were going to a collector and not going to be sold for profit after snatching them up from him at a good deal. I was very please with the sale.

    OMG! A PSP kiosk! I need to find one of those! I love Sony and loved seeing the PS2 kiosk in your game room as well! Those clean CIB N64 games were so awesome to look at too! Are you going for the full PS2 set? It's a tedious task indeed! I finished up the set in December last year and am shifting focus on completing PS1 now. Loved the tour!!!

    • @tadpole1313
      @tadpole1313  9 років тому +1

      +djdeus Yeah the PSP kiosk was a awesome addition. I actually lucked out with both the PS2 and the PSP kiosk. As mentioned in the video I traded a movie poster for the PSP kiosk and for the PS2 kiosk I actually got it for free when the store I was working at upgraded to there newer model. I have since purchased a PS3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii Kiosk but I do not have it with me as it is still in the states. As for the N64 I actually completed the set back in August. I made a couple videos in regards to that as well if you are interested. As far as a complete PS2 collection. I applaud you for that amazing achievement. I can honestly say, that even I am scared to start that journey. But I am sure you have discovered a lot of hidden gems on the system that I am even unaware of. I know, I have learned more about the N64 now then I have ever known and any point just due to collecting for it and going after it one by one. I purchased a lot of 500 nes games CIB about a year ago and I can honestly say I did not learn anything about the Nintendo for the most part by buying it the way I did. It is so much more rewarding to educate your self buying it piece by piece over time. Thanks for watching the video man.

    Watch out for all that sunlight. Would hate to see all those games get faded.

    • @tadpole1313
      @tadpole1313  10 років тому

      Yea eventually I might move them else where when I am completely out of room, but for the time frame I do not mind having them where they are. Thanks for the advice on the sunlight. I am well aware of the damage it can do. Thankfully in the location it is in, it never comes in contact with direct sunlight and I actually have shades here that make the room completely black. So while I am at work it is normally pitch black in the room and I even avoid turning on the light that is directly above the collection when I am in the room as well. It is amazing at how much damage sunlight can do to games :(

    at around 4:34, when you mentioned Psi Ops, I then shortly after for some reason thought of the game, "The Suffering" then about a second or two later you mention "The Suffering"!! My mind was blown away! Such a great underrated survival horror game!

    • @tadpole1313
      @tadpole1313  10 років тому

      They both truly are underrated games. I would love to see a sequel for both of them. Unfortunately Midway went out of business I believe in 2007 and I know warner bros bought up a handful of there titles but I am unaware if they own those and are just sitting on them. Beats me, but man it would be nice to get some new ones especially suffering. The graphics in today's day and age would make that game look beautiful

    What are your personal favorites on NES and SNES? I am just getting back into retro gaming and just curious what a collector like yourself has as their favorites.

    • @tadpole1313
      @tadpole1313  8 років тому +1

      +redknight801 Redknight some of my personal favorites are going to be games like Super Mario World and Legend of zelda ect. But everyone's preference is different. Once I saw this question I actually went over my collection and decided to make a list of a handful of titles that I think are really good but do not get talked about as much. Some of the games are a little weird or unique like Lemmings so I suggest checking out some UA-cam videos on the titles named.
      Super Nintendo
      Batman Returns
      Bio Metal
      Choplifter III
      Joe & Mac 1,2 (One of my all time favorite games)
      Lemmings
      Ms.Pack-Man (Game has two player CO-OP)
      Musya
      Might Morphin Power Rangers
      Smash TV
      Total Carnage
      The Tick
      WWF Raw
      WWF Wrestle Mania The Arcade Game
      Nintendo
      Arch Rivals
      Batman
      Burger Time
      Elevator Action
      Hoops
      Joust

      Sadly I do not know. All the music I got was free from UA-cam when using there editor. I just searched the video and stuff for the past 8 minutes with no luck. The only song it advertises in the description is arabian dance by christmas at the devil's house which is a song used later in the video. If you personally know where I have to look I would be more then willing to assist you but I am kinda stumped on exactly where it is or what song it is

      You can either check out retroprotection.com or I think his ebay user name is retroprotection. It might be a little cheaper on the website his self maybe with shipping or what not but I am not 100% sure. The guy is a easy to work with guy and shipps his stuff out quick. I just did a huge bulk order of pretty much a large variety of different size cases his has for my complete video game collection.

    • @tadpole1313
      @tadpole1313  10 років тому

      I have been collecting for alot of years now. The hobby use to be alot cheaper however I have payed my share dues in the current market as well. The best thing to do is local shopping. Even if local thrift shops and goodwills are dried up, you can still get good deals at local run game stores. If you are looking for stuff like boxed games and such, there is a smaller market for it in person and you can sometimes wheel and deal with the shop owners. I highly recommend that. But if you are just starting out, make sure you go for the games you truly love and you want to play. The hobby can grow out of hand really quick if you do not set goals for your self.

    • @tadpole1313
      @tadpole1313  9 років тому

      LISA HOWARD The hobby is very much sought after at the moment which makes finding deals locally a little harder. I would just recommend don't be afraid to haggle at used games stores and if you plan on buying older games in there original boxes start earlier then later. I went almost 11 years without a purchase on ebay or any online retailer for games for that matter and it is biting me in the butt now. I currently only really buy games complete in box and I have had to repurchase a lot of games I previously had to acquire the box and manual. So make that decision early if that is something you want. I also recommend finding a site that will work for you to catalog your games. I use a site called rfgeneration.com but there are many other sites. Metal Jesus Rocks another youtube individual posted a video about cataloging games I would say to check it out. The last thing I want to cover is cleaning your games as you get them. It takes a lot of time but it will save you many many many hours in the future if you do it over time. I recently went thru and cleaned the bulk of my games from stickers etc and it took over 40 hours to do so.

      I use the shelf from a company called Atlantic and the name of the shelf is Media Elite tower. The shelfs are fixed (wont adjust) but are pretty good overall. They have two different styles. One where they cds are located at the top as seen in the video or the later models where they moved that location to the middle. I personally like the look of the cd rack on top but by relocating it to the middle it made the shelf a lot more sturdy. So my later shelfs not shown in the video are a lot more sturdy in my opinion. www.amazon.com/Atlantic-35435725-Media-Tower-BluRay/dp/B0058O8ES8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1464418211&sr=8-1&keywords=atlantic+media+elite+tower

    I'm really impressed about this collection and I've always interested in game collection (specifically AVGN got me to start my own collection), but there's one problem that I enouncter that almost nobody seems to mention ever anywhere... dust.
    How do you keep your consoles and games so clean? Just after a week since I cleaned my room, there's already dust coming onto my games and consoles... how do you keep your games and consoles clean? I just get it.

    • @tadpole1313
      @tadpole1313  10 років тому

      The games are pretty good dust wise how they are stacked on the shelf. I actually just invested alot of money into plastic protective slleves for about 95% of the collection as well that is not seen in the video. Every game has it own protective plastic sleeve like my boxed n64 games do in the video. When it comes to systems, it is pretty much impossible to keep them from stacking up with dust. I use to sit back every once in a while and unhook all the systems and clean thme up. But now I went out and bought a duster which I should of done ages ago and I clean them that way now. I just unplug the power strip from the wall to avoid any static electricity or anything like that.

So I asked my manager if I could have this one which she was fine with. As for the PSP kiosk I actually traded a friend a movie poster for it. He really wanted the particular Mario Brothers movie poster and was really to make the trade. I have since purchased a PS3, Xbox 360 and a Nintendo Wii Kiosk as well from a friend. I never asked him how he aquired them but I was happy with the purchase. I would reccomend checking out sites like Craiglist etc to find kiosk.

    2100+ games = at least 20x2100 = 42k hours of your life = 5 years full time playing without sleep, pee eat or anything... more realistically, you play a game for double that, and you do eat sleep etc, so 2x3 times that, is 15 years.

      I actually just moved all the Snes and Nes games into a cabinet and I opened up some room because I ran out of room on the shelves. Next time I will probably start picking away at the duplicates. I am kinda weird with them, because I only get rid of duplicates if it is directly benifitting the system at hand.
