Hello Olga, the kit has additional items, they ARE separated items. We have done this to give a choice to our clients: They can choose if they want to purchase some of the additional parts or not. Additional items are: set of the semi-finished sails; 3D printed stern with badges; 3D printed bow; AND extra block set. Here is a new modeling phase: the 3D printed stern and badges, if a client modeler wants to, he can plank it with wooden strips. This way the stern looks like made of wood. In the other choice, it can be painted so it looks realistic wood stern, but needs coloring skills.... The other great thing regarding this kit is two ways of the deck modeling: 1- modeler can use laser-engraved decks as the visible layer on the model; or 2-a modeler can plank the deck pattern with the wooden strips so the deck is real wooden deck.... In the previous version (on the old video) we were doing with the laser-cut deck planks. BUT the new version is easier to apply, this why we leave it as the main version... Olga, please, fill up the video with titles explaining the additional items of this kit... MarisStella Ltd EU ...Indeed, we are doing our best to put the new reconstructions on the world stage. Our main goal is a satisfied modeler who enjoys making reconstructions. We care about raising ship model making and increasing the number of capable and good model makers. Looks beautiful. They've tuned the laser near-perfectly, too. Minor point, the diagonal red Cross of St Patrick was not added to the Union Jack until 1801 officially, two decades later than this vessel at the earliest.

Will this one be on your build carrell? It's a beautiful looking kit, and the scale is large enough to really fine tune the details. The selection of blocks was interesting; they look made of wood, but I think maybe "wood product" like sawdust and glue? As hard as the worked at other details, I was wondering why the standing and running blocks weren't quite up to that. But I'm just a nosy commenter! All in all a kit Mari Stella should be proud of.

Very good observation. Also curious about the longevity of the blocks.. This company's line is astounding.. I just returned to WA State from a vacation to The Thousand Islands.. Nautical heritage here is most inspirational. BRAVO M-S!

The quality of MarisStella kits has always been at a high level, as has the attention to detail. Now it looks like the time has come to improve these kits to the level where the model out of the box looks like it was built from scratch...
I don't like plastic parts - it's still wooden modeling, not plastic models! But you don't have to build them from scratch. All wooden parts are included! Therefore, you can choose what you like!

Hi I have a quick question I received a kit and the lower mizzen mast is bend. I have tried to straighten with no luck. Do you have any good advice? Thank you
Try to wet it and clamp it to something flat and hard, such as a tabletop. Or you can use 2 planks as thick as the diameter of the mast and 2 large planks to create a 4-sided batten. Leave this mast for a few days to dry completely.

Given that you can build a more historically accurate model without additional power tools - YES! In addition, if you calculate how much an upgrade for a cheap kit will cost (if you replace at least the blocks) this kit is worth the money. Also I like that you can choose how you want to build your model (with or without sails or whether you want 3D printed parts or will use wooden ones) - that is, if you don't need plastic parts or sails, then you just don't spend money on them... For example, I just spent $700 on the blocks alone for the model I'm currently restoring, from the same manufacturer that supplies the blocks for MarisStella...

Доброго дня Оля, гарний набір, підскажіть будьласка який оіл краще використовувати для покриття корабля: tung oil finish він рідкий в жовтій металічній банці ну ви знаєте, чи інший він такий густоватий як жир незнаю його назви
Тунгова олія надасть з часом темніший колір деревині, зазвичай коричнувато-каштановий. Можна також використовувати Тікову олію або Льняну олію (вона надає жовтого віддінку деревині)... Та густа маса в банці, схоже ви говорите про суміш воску і олій - так, його теж можна застосовувати, тільки я надаю перевагу рідким консистенціям, як наприклад OSMO - його легко наносити і лягає воно на будь-який фініш ідеально або узагалі лише OSMO щоб зберегти натуральні кольори деревини...
Далі пішло фарбування))) треба чекати по 48 годин поки сохне кожен шар. Я вже другий тиждень так фарбую бушприт... А там ще такого фарбування не початий край...
US CUSTOMERS BE AWARE!! Olha you are participating in bait and switch. This may not be even known to you. I purchased this Ontario kit 12/2023 and have gotten something of less quality. Parts deleted and very poor blocks included. I was directed to this video to “understand” how the kit was updated. United States customers are not treated well. I got one less 1:1 instructions sheet than shown. Poor quality CHEAP blocks uneven drilling. Square or rectangular. Very disappointed with maris Stella and this influencer Olha who I watched for a long time. Are you aware of this? I purchased through age of sail in Canada. As directed by maris Stella. John H. На БОРЕАСІ почався нудний процес фарбування. Дуже не розженешся і показати за 2 тижні нічого...

В комплекті є всі деревʼяні частини для корми і носа. Якщо лінь возитися з деревом то можна просто пофарбувати готові друковані деталі))) На вибір!
