    Kevin is totally right , genetics are a big thing when it comes to grow muscle just today i met a 21 year old kid on the beach tall like me maybe 6.3 tall with no belly fat and a body like a bodybuilder i was thinking woww it took me 20 years working out and dieting to look like a lift and this kid is only 21 looking badass. When he told me He was from Russia i said ok thats why lol they are genetically gifted if you compare them with any other people in europe you can see the big difference in genetics so yes genetics are real..

      buba ba Why is it hard to believe a multiple times runner-up Mr.Olympia, a guy that benched almost 500 pounds in his fifties, one of the most genetically gifted person in terms of muscle building could do that? If a random guy on the internet say that, sure, don't believe him. But this is Kevin fucking Levrone. You are an idiot. FYI, that is not even the world record at 145 lbs.

    • @nikosrosos5180
      @nikosrosos5180 3 роки тому

      Off course he 7s genetically gifted but I saw a video of him once and he couldn't do more than 6 Reps with 225 , I from 19 years old until now 37 I could at least 10 with worst being 200 for 10 after haven't touched a bar for almost a. Years having my 2 sons, so 9bviously he has superior genetics in response to gear and furthermore tolerance to them, he wasn't an abuser by any means but he was active to this sport for many years and his typical cycle was 10 weeks of anadrol, and 2 weeks of halotestin, my liver would have been destroyed, I used anadrol just for 3 weeks and felt like carbage although I kept getting stronger just one pill a day, taking 2 for 10 straight weeks repeatedly year after year,

    I have personally come to the conclusion that a parent/parents who used PED and competed in some kind of high level sport passes on stronger genes to their kids. Kinda like super soldiers where you're getting the athletic genetics mixed with some lab made that enhances those genes even further. Seen too many top tier athletes have a parent or 2 who took PEDs.

    • @usayeed727
      @usayeed727 10 років тому

      That isn't bullshit at all. Sufficient carbohydrate intake replenishes the glycogen stores from running and doing extensive cardio so muscle tissue isn't then cannibalised to meet the body's demand. Plus low rep, heavy ass weight training prevents muscle loss and builds more dense muscle.
      Pepito you need cardio for faster muscle recovery and to keep the muscles showing. Remember, cardio still uses muscle tissue :)

    kevin is a genetic freak. His genetic response to androgens was unreal. Saying "steroids", yeah steroids but! Just like training naturally you will never, ever respond like he does. Not even close. and thats why i dont agree with using gear. its a good excuse for people who dont use it to justify why they are smaller cuz "they could be just as good using it".

    • @KKZReset11
      @KKZReset11 9 років тому +3

      Lol, wrong... I don't think you have any idea how many losers are pumping themselves full of GH, Test Tren and everything under the sun who still look like a blown up pile of shit, and then later as a shredded pile of shit with no flow or shape.
      This is what he means by genetics.
      Without gear, he would still have been big.

    • @KKZReset11
      @KKZReset11 9 років тому +4

      james rabbit thats a dumb logic man. Keven DID respond to androgens at a freak level. so did flex arnold ronnie. these guys aint normal man. ALL PROS have access to the same drugs but you cant buy genetics and muscle shapes ect.

    • @KKZReset11
      @KKZReset11 9 років тому

      james rabbit You over complicate a fairly simple process.
      Caloric surplus, heavy, intense training (both of which people do) and use of drugs, which is available to gym rats (and a LOT of them use tons of drugs, trust me and still look like nothing) is all you need to make it to the Olympia stage. Why the FUCK would you need "medical observation" to build muscle. What's so complex about running test, Tren and GH? Are you genuinely this mornonic or something? A simple Google search for "Elite Fitness foums" will lead you to immediate sources for anabolics. So don't say something stupid like how your average joe cant get a vial of Test.

      He does not have a myostatin deficiency. One of his parents would have to hold one of the gene expressions. If they did, it would be something they would be expecting at his birth. Chances are Dennis James is just trying to hype him up because he's a breakout star.

    Yes you and all the gear took made you different. Truth is you respond to gear betyer than most. Great genetics, but naturally you would have disappeared bit with slightly better triceps

    Did you compete in th MR Olympia for the first time at 24? So, you were born in 1968, not in 1964 like I thought? I got cheated.

    Kevin, too much exercise for a child that is not finished growing can reduce their potential adult height. Recover ability will take away from growth, vertically. Probably should tell your son to ease up until after he is done growing.

      I was an extremely active kid growing up from the age of 4 through adulthood. I believe we all have genetic makeup of the size we are going to get and exercise won't affect that. I know this through personal experience because I am now 6'6" tall

      It's not true, a kid can do a lot of exercise (only light weight), and it will help him grow without bad posture habits. What can actually reduce his final height is using steroids (that i'm pretty sure he is not). I have been doing free weights and some weight lifting since i was 9 and i'm 1.85cm, tallest of all my family.

      Arthur Jones, inventor of Nautilus exercise equipment. Read his ideas. Recovery ability and growth are a pool. The more you take from it, the more natural growth hormone gets used up. Figure out the rest guys. It's obvious.

    I really like you and the generation of bb from 70' till 95 aproximadetelly , but For me your genetics are normal, Just Good enough to compete but not very good as Victor Richards for example, lesson im talking about genetics not preparation or something like that ...some of bodybuilders doesnt have a regular genetic thats the diference, Dorian yates is an exemple in my opinion, thats why his focus was in the size but never would be a Paris for example.... some of them even doesnt have Nice abs or Just normal abs, thats should be the minimum..nowadays they choose to become a bodybuilder but the correct is the sport has choose them.

      That is one of the most interesting things in bodybuilding. I know that it's possible to gain muscle and lose fat on a calorie surplus if you are in the right (mix of) steroids like Tren, so for some gifted individual it doesn't sound totally impossible.
      What I reacted to was the testimony of how he didn't even train during parts of the year. That is pretty insane.
