Just picked up a copy at a game swap today because I loved the art ! Glad to hear it’s got a nice solid little game loop. Looking forward to trying it out :)
1. I've been wavering on this game because the art is dope but I had no idea how it played, so thanks for helping me make up my mind, I'm definitely picking it up now. 2. That jacket is amazeballs. You have inspired me in the past to up my wardrobe game with matching hats and belts, but that jacket is next level.
Essentially I remembered there is a game Called ethnos, where a Leader has a special ability... so yeah that thing is totally Ethnos vibe otherwise doesnt draw me near that much...
I like the idea, but I don't like the idea of people getting blocked out. That sort of 'evil' action doesn't work well in my gaming group. We all like to be improving with every action taken. And I would say the artwork for every card would be better if they weren't the same artwork between very similar cards. I'm tempted, but I think I'll pass. Afterall, I'm trying to shrink my board game collection, though it is so hard with all these good games always coming out.
I think you have to see it close up. It's this artist: www.behance.net/Max_Prentis and I'd say he is on the upper skill level from what people are used too in Boardgames Art. Of course, that still can mean that you don't like in personally, but he's definitely a top notch illustrator, and desaturated is his thing. I think it's great to have something that's more on the artsy side, and I'd say for me it's in the top 10 of boardgame illustrations ever. That being said, not sure if I buy this game just for the Illustrations.
The Boldest is the person who wears that tie with that jacket.
That art is fantastic and I hope we get to see more of the artists work in the future.

With such heady praise I was surprised to hear it just ‘“Approved!”
This game looks interesting! Definitely getting a Horizon: Zero Dawn feel from the art which is certainly not a bad thing.
Congratulations, Sophia! We met at Berlin Con and you spoilered a bit. Was very excited for this.

This art looks great! Love the color work.
The bluffing mechanic reminds me a lot to Rising Sun's war phase coin bidding mechanic.
1:52 "only be gotten" - I thought he was quoting John 3:16 there ;)
The art/theme reminds me of Made in Abyss.
Amazing artwork. And the leader mechanism is interesting and reminds me of Ethnos. But, uh.... Spiderman jacket?
Great art on this game. The ligne clair style reminds me somewhat of Geof Darrow's work.
like t he art, wish more games looked like this!

Hey tom , don cherry called he wants his jacket back
Kumbaya! 😂
Nah-ah-ah :D
Am I the only person who thinks the art is sloppy and too bland?
The art actually looks pretty great. It's a different style, for a game with sloppy art I would think something like Wildlands.
Not sloppy to me but it does look a little washed out . I like a bit more contrast in color , myself!
They're using a muted color palette. Some people will like that, some won't but there's nothing inherently wrong with it.
@@TapCat agreed
