I wish they would have went down this path instead of a more radio friendly arena rock sound. Really love the clean vocals and guitar, so I could care less if they are heavy anymore. I just miss when they still had that same vibe I fell in love with.
Not really. I've listened to them for a year but I kinda neglected the rest of the album, beside run free, the death of me, and moving on. So, sadness.

This is like one of top 3 songs from this band for me, so don't get me wrong when i say that makes total sense for a group of ex drunk people/drug enthusiasts to not sing a music that it's about shooting cocaine.
Actually white line fever is a term for a cocaine addiction and the line "licking every drop off poison off a pocket of keys" sounds like it's referring to when a coke head runs out they'll lick their keys to get the excess coke off from their "bumps" and for those that don't know a bump is where you dip your key into your coke then snort it to re-up your high in between lines
Joseph Navarro nah, Ben said in his live FB video that "Asking is back where we started with its original fucking members" I think he's permanently back
I don't know why everyone keeps bitching. This band kicks ass and it's awesome to see them progress the way they want to. If they kept making music that sounded the same, you would complain about that as well.
Damn this album just get better and better every single time you listen at it! This song will drive insane every one around me cuz its on repeat since it came out! Used to think asking would never go anywhere... turns out to be one of my favorite band! Never underestimate the power of music!
When R&R came out I missed the sound of their crazy highs and guteral lows but this new cd makes me feel like I'm listening to an extremely matured band who knows what they wanna put out. Good job AA
its actually because of drug and alcohol abuse (according to the bands bio and wikipeidia) claiming he cant quite hit those high notes anymore because of the damage it did to his body. however it is a great improvement
AA will always have so many haters and people that just don't understand or appreciate their music. The fact is they're incredible at putting together a song and creating a beautiful rythemic art form and making ever song that way. I just don't understand what people are hearing that dislike this. Keep doing what you do Asking.
I was trying to describe this album to my friend who still hasn't heard it and I just couldn't explain it... No words can explain how amazing this album is :3
Gosh this is beautiful ... I'm a huge fan to AA but never been to their concerts but I'm trying to make $40 so I can see them this December 3rd at Los Angeles 😭💕😍
went from post-hardcore(Stand up and scream) to Metalcore(Reckless and Relentless) to now Heavy Metal(The Death of Me), and they are still a great band, insane to think through all the change there still amazing!
So many feelings in this Album. AA has made me really proud that Danny is finally getting his life and career on track. KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DO NOW PLEASE!
It's funny how people are getting mad that all stuff like the 0's, breakdowns, and screams are missing. There's so much more talent and maturity being shown on this album.
I got to say, never liked Asking Alexandria before this album and, by the looks of it, I won't like what comes next. Maybe it's for the best for the fans, since From Death to Destiny was a big departure from their previous (and seemingly restored) sound, but for me this is the only worthwhile AA album and one of the best in 2013 overall.
When I heard there first single Run Free, I was impressed! I knew something was going to be different about this album. When I heard The Death Of Me from then on I just knew this wasen't going to be like the rest of there work. Finally when I heard all of the songs for this album I was speachless! Sean Resseman No it is about Cocaine even in an interview Danny mentioned that a choir only worked with them because they didn't get the crack reference. So yeah....
Why would he feel like sinning for looking at the white lines on the road? look at the lyrics "I've got the white line fever and an appetite for sin" it wouldn't make sense. I've got the white line fever (He's burning for his next fix of coke) and an appetite for sin (He'll do anything to get even if he has to fuck some shit up) which is the normal reaction for drug addicts who don't get their next fix, they'll do anything . . . Despite the band having a bad time producing this album its still better than "The Black." I feel like "From Death To Destiny" has more structure and just sounds like they didn't half ass it.
they did half ass fdtd 😂😂 because Danny didn't like what Ben was writing so this is practically Danny's album and the black has been worked on since a day after fdtd came out so the black has been worked on for 3 years they didn't half ass the black they half assed fdtd
I think this is their best album, the combination between this rock style, the feeling in the lyrics, and the energy it projects, it’s just perfect. Most of the lyrics of this album was about Danny’s personal life and it was the perfect condiment for the album. I hope some day, they release an album similar to this. The best AA was at this time, in my opinion.
I like their older albums more than this one. Especially the first one. But I love that they're progressing as a band. They're brave enough to experiment with new sounds unlike most bands now a days. I can't stand bands that basically release the same album over and over again. These guys are some true rock stars.
After listing to this today I can honestly say that it's different and great , still would prefer the first record but it's good to see them trying new things and evolving .
+gingercraft3 this is the album in which Danny absolutely refused to sing any lyrics written by Ben, he even admits it in an interview, From death to destiny lyrics wise it was all Danny
I don't know if it's because they are with Sumerian Records or what but they sound so much better than before ! well done with this new album and I wish AA stai like that for long time cause I didn't like this band before...
Mat Hampton okay now opinions are okay and everything, I dont even like their music that much, but just because you hate their music doesn't mean you can call them out like that

Well dont listen then my friend. Its not supposed to be for everybody. Asking with danny was dying, and I wouldnt be surprised if we would of even got another album if danny was still the front man.
I love Asking Alexandria, they're earlier stuff and new. Bands will always be changing their sound in various ways and in a way we should- as fans respect and appreciate how they have chosen to change. Personally to me they have always sounded f***ing awesome :)
You're not a true AA fan if you don't like all of asking Alexandria's albums, because tbh I think all of there albums are fucking awesome screaming or not I'll always be a fan of them
From Death to Destiny will always be my favorite A.A album. They found their sound perfectly here.
True.
Bro I dont know of any other band that sounds like they did in this album if you know let me know.
@@cristianvelasquez893 thats the magic, they brought a unique sound with this album
NO! Stand Up and Scream or Reckless and Relentless is the best album by the AA.
Me too bro. I was blown away by how much they matured their sound but still had heavy riffs and breakdowns.
I wish they would have went down this path instead of a more radio friendly arena rock sound. Really love the clean vocals and guitar, so I could care less if they are heavy anymore. I just miss when they still had that same vibe I fell in love with.
I agree but are people still using radio friendly as a bad word? Jesus
Same.
I love how much this band has grown up and made a big change in their style, I love the new album
True xD
I feel like I'm one of the only people that like when they sounded like this lmao. The hard rock style definitely suits Danny well
+BulletForMyValentineFan2005 agreed his new voice is perfect for it
Took me some time to come around to this album but its amazing.
Makes you appreciate the 4 perfect albums in a row.
Probably my favorite album from them, I think this is when Danny found his voice
No I like it
Harlot was pretty much an album of this song, and I genuinely still like it now more than most of asking Alexandria's discography
I discovered this song only 6 hours ago and I can't stop listening to it!!!!
Are you a new fan? :)
Not really. I've listened to them for a year but I kinda neglected the rest of the album, beside run free, the death of me, and moving on. So, sadness.
oooo.. those are all really good songs! If those are the only ones you really listen to you should try out Creature. Its REALLY good!!!
I did and I love it! They write such amazing songs. I can't wait for their next album!
Same here! I can't wait for it to come out!!
I feel like this song defines AA especially the very beginning guitar and music in the background... Beautiful

As I breathe, my disease brings me to my knees
All you need is a taste, it'll set you free
Your infection's my discretion, honey, one and the same
Counting second 'til I'm medicated, fucked in the brain
I don't want this, baby, I just need it to carry on
I got the white line fever and an appetite for sin
If there's a black hole headed for Hell then, baby, count me in
I sold my soul so long ago, a bullet in the chamber with nowhere to go
If there's a black hole headed for Hell then, baby, count me in
I sold my soul
Licking every drop of poison off a pocket of keys
While some daddy's little angel's getting dirt on her knees
When the Sun goes down, the filth run free
You'll never find a finer specimen of filth than me

'Cause I've been through and burned down and rebuilt Hell
With my heart in a vice and a knife in my back,

By far the best song on the album.
We have to grow up, and so do bands. This feels like the first band that is growing with me. Everything changes.

THE CHANGE I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS BAND. FINALLY.
Its nice to hear his voice is finally developed. Sounds like an adult!!!
its actually because of drug and alcohol abuse (according to the bands bio and wikipeidia) claiming he cant quite hit those high notes anymore because of the damage it did to his body. however it is a great improvement
Oliver Knight It's actually because he tore his vocal chords.
due to drug and alcohol abuse.. coke + screaming = fuckingyourselfup
Oliver Knight I lol'd a little to hard at this..

I disagree, if danny was still here we'd end up with a fucking country album.
Josh Bee Doesn't change how he is a better singer than Denis
Not for this scene, not anymore.
Anyone here in 2021?
2024!
Mi banda favorita 😍 Asking Alexandria
You're not a true AA fan if you don't like all of asking Alexandria's albums, because tbh I think all of there albums are fucking awesome screaming or not I'll always be a fan of them
