"Kolomyika" or Unfated Love, is a lively entertaining music video by Ruslana based on a Ukrainian folk song. Gives an idea about rural ethnic Ukrainian costumes. Interesting that the cuckoo bird seems a harbinger of fortune or fate in Ukrainian folk lore. A good video. Video first released in 2003 in the album "Wild Dances".
"Kolomyika" literally tanslates to "Loss". However, following the lyrics, it appears "Unfated Love" describes the song better.
