  • Known both as Myron's Extreme Machines and the Electric Bicycle Center, this shop sells both GoPed kick scooters and a wide range of ebikes. The owner Sam and his wife Kanika are super friendly and have worked in the space longer than almost anyone I know. They have excellent deals on older IZIP, Easy Motion, EG and Kayman electric bikes as well as brand new models from Haibike and e-Joe. I've filmed many reviews with Sam at his shop and enjoy the ability to test ride in their large parking lot. They also do repairs on electric bicycles and will offer trade ins of older ebikes that they fix up to get credit towards newer models.

I was shopping for two Ebikes and came across this video and some others done by EBR at the electric bicycle center. I didn’t want to by a bike in a box but wanted to talk with someone about the bikes and it’s features. So, my wife and I drove from North LA county to Fullerton, just to look, where we met Sam and his wife and Steve. I’m not sure if Steve is an employee but he should be. An excellent dude as was Sam and his wife. The staff was attentive to not only what we were lookin for but also our budget. Sam showed us several models that fit the bill. We were able to test the bikes before purchase (try that with a box bike!) We bought two bikes and riding them has been great! Don’t let anyone tell you you can’t get a workout on an Ebike! It’s BS. When I had an issue with my bike (user error) both Steve and Sam got on the phone and walked me through the problem and I was up and riding.I highly recommend buying your bike from the people at this shop.

Really enjoyed this interview. This is a guy who loves his Bike Shop. He really knows allot about each bike brand & enjoys talking about them. With that attitude & personality I bet he does a great business.

You're right on, he's a natural salesman but also genuine. He's willing to make deals and seems to have a product to fit everyone instead of an idea of how everyone should fit his inventory. That takes time and money to build but he has been smart and Sam and his wife put so much time and energy into the business... it's inspiring :)

+All Bike Update He is a salesman but applies no pressure. He answers questions and lets you guide the decision process. And he gives you really competitive prices. We bought two from him...

I wish. I'm currently in Arkansas and the closest ebike shop is 3 hours away.

Alex Demskie Ouch, that's a bit of a drive... Some shops will ship but it's nice to test ride for sure and then have a friend who can help you with warranty issues or maintenance. Local shops are great, hopefully we'll see more in the coming years :)

Good interview and WOW he seems to really enjoy his work providing the vehicles people want to ride.
It really does help having some good laws which allow people to ride these things.
In the UK our laws are so bad, petrol small engine bikes or scooters are a no no, first off goped is a noped, ride one and you could lose your driving license.
Electric scooters have only just this past year or two been allowed as mopeds you have to insure register them like a normal moped after 3 years MOT so most people don't bother with them.
So it really does help when it comes to these types of vehicles to have good workable laws that encourage people to make use of them.
California seems so much further ahead of Europe and especially the UK when it comes to alternative transport, we can only look on in envy.

WONDERFUL interview and insights into a bit of E History. SO glad to see a pioneer still surviving and still so enthusiastic. SO nice to see and just a 90 minute drive. Looks like I will be seeing him for my first E bike. I like to support someone who gives back. Tell him to be on the look out for an old fart with a younger wife:-)
