Some people are just bitter and perhaps a bit jealous. John14:2-3 speaks of the very subject of the song. Time spent being nice and educating oneself is time well spent.
I don’t care what anyone says, I saw Sister Vestal and Brother Happy at my cousins small church 30 yrs ago, and there was no mention of money or anything else.. All I know is you could feel the Holy Spirit in that church that night, and their message was a blessing that I still carry with me to this day 🙏🏼❤️
I went to a concert in 1975 and all they did was beg for money...Howard and Sam and Rusty...that was their job to pass the basket ...Howard I remember even said we want have enough money for biscuits and gravy tomorrow morning if you people don't dig deeper in your pockets... Absolutely the Truth...I was there!
The Happy Goodman's begged for money in their concerts ...even after paying for a ticket to get in...they also had a drawing for a free record album...to try and get even more money out of people's pocket...it's a racket...useing the bible...and making money off Jesus and Gods name and persona... for themselves...but Jesus and God don't get a dime.
That's your imagination honey you felt... not no scary holy made up ghost.. quit being a stupid child .. grow up! Yr brainwashed but the brainwashed Iike you can't see it because guess what? YOUR BRAINWASHED!
It did happen..I wouldn't make something like that up...just to be mean...i was there and i was just a kid ...I was amazed they would do something like that...I was totally naive. I thought the Goodman's were everything good before then.
Whenever i use to mention the Happy Goodman’s to someone (male or female) .....they would almost always say .... do you mean the gospel group that has that big fat lady in it that sings?..... funny how they would never mention Howard’s weight which was probably more then Vestals...people can be so sexist without even knowing it.
The Happy Goodman’s begged for money at their concerts in the 70’s ... which made me realize as a teenager that it was really money they was into...it never even dawned on me that it was just a money scam. I paid the price of a ticket to get in. That should have been enough.
I’ll tell you this. Sister Vestal and brother Happy Goodman were once at my cousins small church, and they never asked for money, but I’ll tell you this.. you could feel the Holy Spirit in that church that night. And years later, when George Jones was suffering with depression, he said he asked Vestal to come visit him and he said “She came to me and chased the devil out”. Vestal and Happy were good people IMO.
I believe you are incorrect in this statement. My parents were pwrsonal friends, and the Goodmans would come to our home when in the area. All groups would sell records (later 8 track tapes, then cassettes( but begging for money? No way.
What a blessing she was.

@@cherryedwards3 I believe you, and I hate that you experienced that. I didn’t have that kind of experience, but I know it happens.

Praise God 🙌 Amen ✝️
Really Inspiritional
Vestals beehive was a hairpiece not her real hair on the top. She admitted to it in her later years... she said it was hot and heavy.

Total lies!
I didn't know the Goodman's would beg for money at their concerts but they did.
This is totally false!
Materialistic much?????
Not materialistic at all. Read John 14:2-3. It’s a promise Jesus made. They are just singing about it.
