I could see it as being because they opened the vault up before so there’s no guarantee they’re clean. But as mentioned it was basically just cause it’s cool, and not really canon
Coming here really late to explain it. The enclave soldiers shoot the vault dwellers in that scene because they’re trigger happy, notice how one of the vault dwellers raises their hand to wave hello? When the vault dweller waves their hand, the enclave soldiers think it’s a weapon and open fire. They didn’t slaughter the entire vault, they just killed the first five then went on to capture the rest.

They really do need to remake the first and second one into the 3D games we have now. It's understandable that the OG fans would want a remaster instead of a remake so the 2D game stays intact and everything about it, but realistically they'd sale far more if the games were made 3D as they are today. Not many people enjoy playing top-down/isometric 2D games compared to 3D. Bethesda doesn't need to be remaking these though, leave it to the modding community or another dev team which would allow Bethesda to continue making new games such as TESVI.
This is so awesome! I unfortunately feel like fallout 4 just doesn't catch that same feeling that the older games have. Definitely not trying to take away or steal your thunder, great work and I enjoyed you sharing it more then ever!
Your comment makes no sense. Especially not considering that both NV and F4 run on the same game engine. Only difference between doing this in NV and F4 would be lesser gfx quality resulting from fewer resource access.
I cant stress enough how a fully 3D remake of Fallout 2 would be amazing. In my opinion it could be the best in the series, if done right. Fallout 3 was my first Fallout, so I much prefer Fallout in its 3D form with a open world to explore than the isometric form. And that is pretty much the only reason why Fallout 2 isnt my top favorite.

I think a remaster of the old game shoud be remade with the arquitectual principles that the newer fallouts use but still respecting the original layout What i mean is focusing a lot on the y axis and expanding the details of the original and making them be more realisticly functional Sadly i haven’t finished fallout 1 and haven’t started fallout 2 If not i would have proposed to do the project my self So i am 100% qualified for making a life action movie that is not even close to the original and make 99.99 % of the fan base hate it

Very exciting to watch. Played all the fallouts except 76 but Fallout 2 and New Vegas are still the best. Would love a remake of 1 and 2.
I would like a remake but keeping the same isometric view 👌
@Homer I really wanted something like that in the Resident Evil Remakes
Oh I know, making a fallout total conversion mod in Wasteland 3.
not a fan of isometric stuff, fallout didn't take off till it turned into a 3d rpg anyway
dude bro wtf that ending tho!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is so awesome! I unfortunately feel like fallout 4 just doesn't catch that same feeling that the older games have. It's like when Metroid prime came out, it still felt like a proper Metroid game even though it was 3D now. I feel like doing something like this in New Vegas would blow my mind.
@@Presbiter To me Fallout 3 and NV feel like fallout 1/2 in 3D. Fallout 4 feels like a comic book adaptation. Must be the art direction.
@@Presbiteryes because two games being from the same engine must mean they look identical and dont have completely different art styles
I just got fallout 2 today from a friend! Can't wait to complete it. I didn't expect such a difference in game play but I love it already.
Can we have the 90's back? Please? I don't want to be here and experience... whatever the fuck this is, anymore.
If you haven't watched Bojack horseman, watch Bojack horseman. Totally random and unrelated to fallout... Just trust me
This brought me so much nostalgy... Great work! :D
My fav is 1 the first for me was 4 but when I downloaded that fallout with the eerie music simplicity it just felt magical
my brain fried from you walking on the enclave parade square (1:00) since i had to deal with one like that in military school, that fucking square was basically sacred. Didn't know i still had that reaction.
It's such a good remake concept, I'd love to see it become a reality
This is amazing! keep up the good work!
Patrolling navarro makes you wish to get killed by a the smartest and strongest mutant in the wasteland
Where's your power armor?!
Engineer Gaming
Legion doesn’t fight the NCR on open ground unless it’s to take a critical location like Hoover Dam. It’s through ambushes and raiding, or “small war” that they win. Don’t need to kill the bear if you can’t do it in one stroke, just need to starve it, cut it off.
I think a remaster of the old game shoud be remade with the arquitectual principles that the newer fallouts use but still respecting the original layout
What i mean is focusing a lot on the y axis and expanding the details of the original and making them be more realisticly functional
Sadly i haven’t finished fallout 1 and haven’t started fallout 2
If not i would have proposed to do the project my self
So i am 100% qualified for making a life action movie that is not even close to the original and make 99.99 % of the fan base hate it
this was honestly amazing
Gosh, my brain is so programmed to spite Fallout 4 that watching Fallout 2 in this engine is making unnaturally crass.
omg me too, what the hell
I like Fallout 4.

It’s totally fine to like things…Except murder, racism, rape, and war crimes.
Fallout 4 is not one of those!
@@etharchildres3976 I like your way of thinking 👍
@@etharchildres3976 as a Raider myself, I'm offended by your racism. You just don't get our cultural differences. Yes, we may murder and get high on chems, and pretty much all the things you said. that doesn't mean we're to be judged.
For people like me who can’t get around the originals ui, this will be great
honestly though i like fallout 4 i think the fallout 3/new vegas engine would work better with this project
One of the coolest thumbnails of all time
fallout 2 isometric not supposed to be 3D and this rule goes both ways
Idk I'd try an isometric New Vegas
Holyshit... I just realized dick Richardson is literally the American president right now
If Bethesda decided to remake fallout 1 and 2 in the fallout 3 style that would be awesome.
OMG bro thats the greatest video of fallout i ever seen, thats awesome.
Frank vs space marine
The last scene with Frank I thought for sure you would use the companion mod lol
But can you play as the enclave?
If Todd Howard made an enclave option of course
Best.you can do is roleplay as them.with mods
Remake needs to be made but frank Horgan needs to be on the level of a final dark souls boss
I love it, except one issue, too much "fallout 4-ness" you know power armour animations and fallout 4 turrets. But hey I'd be very much so down for this, although I'm extremely curious how one would go about putting the highwayman in fallout 4's engine. Either way fallout 2 is in my top 10 favourites so I'd play this even in an unfinished state just see places like new Reno, Navarro and San Francisco in 3d
You got my hopes up for a second
I don't want Fallout remakes because I think Bethesda will automatically ruin it but videos like these lure me back into a false sense of hope.
They sould give it to Obsidian, but definitely not to the people who made F76
I like that the kid in the vault in the opening cutscene is just a little man
I think Frank Horrigan is one of the hardest RPG bossfights ever. EVERYTHING is stacked against you.
GOD BLESS THE ENCLAVE
Huh, I just started fallout 2 for the first time yesterday- and now I’m finding this.
As a 2d fallout 2 lover this is a dream come true to get a glimpse
dude this is fucking SIIICK, ESPECIALLY that INTRO, GOT DAYUM!!!!!
I love the room when you enter the oil rig! Very imposing.
0:17 Proper capitalization is missing.
0:35 The Gatling is just wrong, only one barrel would be spewing fire at a time, that is whole purpose of the system.
“Trust me bro, the giant faces are absolutely essential to the function of both this oil rig and shadow government”
Alright! You got me so hyped with this, I am installing FO2 right now 🤩
