Few years ago I bought an old Suzuki Grand Vitara and I love it. I knew this "new" generation some months ago in a showroom and I didn't like it as much as the old one, but I know that Suzuki build cars strong as a rock and very, very reliable, so this generation is a good car, it's a fact.
On the other hand, I'm in love with the new Duster. In love! The design, simplicity, well built, good off road capabilities and good engine options, and the price seduced me. I love that car!
So, the Suzuki is a good, good product, but personally I prefer the new Dacia Duster,

suzuki is on the market almost 10 years however it seems fresh and an all purpose vehicle with main advantages on road(try the sport mode), it can be in trails with proper tyres and ideally with higher suspension- lift kit. It depends the needs of what you choose 😊
Suppose that the Renault Group made the similar spec Suzuki Vitara 4x4 with Hybrid Tec, what would be the price? More or less than Duster?
It would probably be more expensive. A plus 2000 euro at least
They are two very durable and capable workhorses.
It's not easy to breakdown a Vitara, similarly not difficult to repair a current Duster.
Automatic transmission can make a difference when you make a purchasing decision.
Duster is better only in rough terrain for better gearbox with ultrashort 1st gear, better clearance and better angles. All other are points for Vitara. When my Vitara warranty expires and the Duster III gets a good safety score, I will be strongly considering the DD III 4x4.
Considering all features, they are equivalent; but you should drive them to test what's the feeling on the road. The possibility of opening roof on Vitara is a good point, but Duster is more "SUV", even if full hybrid is only 4x2.
Good point. Both need to be tested before choosing. In the end, on the road you make the majority of miles

would you go for Duster III or try something else...say Toyota?
I'll wait how people report about this car during the first year. If all goes well then I'll definitely plan to purchase Duster III in 2025

Duster is the best!!
You have to compare Suzuki S-Cross with Dacia Duster. Vitara is smaller (only 4,17 m. vs 4,35 m). Suzuki S-Cross has 4,3 m so it is a rival for Duster. You compare apples with pears!!!

Mihai, come on! This comparison makes ZERO sense as the Vitara is much smaller (20cm) AND miss offroad capabilities.

Where do You plan take Duster or Vitara, what off-road capabilities You are talking about? Vitara is rly built for purpose getting You safely time after time in more demanding conditions than usual, driving it in Finland no problems, but by saying off-road..what You mean? Build then custom ofroader based on framed car made for such purpose... nonsense sometimes.

I never said Vitara is an tough off-roader, neither is Duster. Just boy hustle about offroadin, while men do off-road but not on these two.the Video You are mentioned are showing destruction of stock cars. And no, You cannot drive with c class where these two can go, especially You, because duster is Your sky is the limit. Good luck.

If you you think you can do the same offroading with less than half the approach angle 😂 and 50mm less ground clearance🤣: pls go ahead! For good reason the minimum requirements in germany for offroader are 30° and 220mm. Maybe in Finnland you can offroad with AMGs as Finnland probably have better roads (I never seen there)?🤣🤣
A AWD Duster is the absolute MINIMUM for serious offroading and yes, there are much better offroading cars out there. So what?
Przepraszam, ale Vitara jest po prostu brzydka na zewnątrz i przestarzała wewnątrz. Jak każde japońskie auto Vitara jest nieocynkowana. Duster jest tańszy a hybryda 140 jest świetna i nie potrzeba napędu 4x4 bo ma wystarczająco duży prześwit
Il confronto non regge, perché la Vitara e vecchia di aggiornamento, mentre la Dacia Duster la nuova versione e sul mercato da poco. Vitara tutta la vita ❤x me

Dacia Duster is simply better
Just because it's a newer model, yes and looks good but 😅 Good luck with repairs. I stick to older, reliable, simplier but smarter Suzuki. And duster drives so dumb. Waiting for new Suzuki, than compare 😂.

@@philipwagner2143 nope, I'm waiting for Mk5 Vitara. Grand is here, but not my favorite (don't understand the purpose of it). Bought mine Mk4 in 2022, did ride duster (huh..it's more for off-road but overall I prefer Vitara, but if You want off-road neither Vitara or Duster would be my choice). My English not better. GL
