I just bought the Leica lino 2g. Nice piece of kit. Comes with a Li-on rechargeable battery. Has magnet swivel holders. To fix to metal girders or the like. It's compatible with A receiver for longer distances outside. 👌
Had some its tool shop vouchers and bought this laser was just a bit gutted it doesn’t work great on ceilings as I cut tons of ceiling speakers out will cut part of the ceiling line out in the process, the similar priced Dewalt gives a full ceiling line, other than that good laser and very accurate
Roger (or anyone else who has one), are the laser lines a little "fuzzy"/out of focus? Just got myself one and the lines on the wall make my eyes go funny looking at them because it's not what I would call a crisp line. Wondering if it's faulty or not. I've emailed Leica support but it would be good to get a real world opinion. Certainly doesn't look fuzzy on your video Roger.
No, there is no way of doing that. All laser levels are adjusted by moving the instrument up and down. The laser in the device is held in a weighted gimbal.
yes there are revolving lasers. I am not sure I understand the whole of your question. This laser gives you a wide beam so you can go most of the way around a room and then turn it around.
Hi Roger. Big fan of your vids. Although I think it might be more of a useful / honest review to compare it to similarly priced laser levels. I was waiting for the killer feature but by the end of the vid I realised this thing does pretty much exactly what my cheap sub-40 quid Bosch Quigo does. True, the Quigo is a bit cheap and nasty and it's not as good as a DeWalt I've used before purely because the build quality is lower. In fact every time I use it, I think "argh, this is rubbish". But once it's set up, it does the job surely just as well? Are there any other compelling reasons to spend more dosh on a laser level?
Thanks Mat I always appreciate your comments. Bosch make good lasers but my Bosch self-leveller cost around the £120.00 mark. I will check our the Quigo.
Hi Matt I have just looked at the spec on that Bosch and it only has a range of 7 mtrs and gives an accuracy of +/- 8mm which is hard to believe. The Leica has twice the brightness and accuracy of 0.75mm over 3 metres and is claimed to be the most accurate in its class. I think I could have added that but like you say it is a question of getting hold of a few and comparing them.
Skill Builder I've been using my Bosch today to help me level a RC concrete subfloor. Our groundworker has left us and folded his business... so today I hired a concrete scabbler to sort the worst of our slab which is 80mm out in parts (horrendous!). Messy messy job. Anyway the basement is 8m long and the Bosch has worked fine across that distance. I really hope the accuracy isn't 8mm though, that might cause me further problems!
The old Holland water level was the way millions of buildings were built back in the day. I would use one of those to check the accuracy. In fact I think I will
I've been trying to think of best way to use water to check floor levels. Ideally without flooding the whole floor and walking around with wellies, ruler, and torch. I googled for Holland water level, is it a thing? I'm all for traditional methods! Any pointers to how it works?
ive got a fatmax lazer level what was cheap a chips does the same as this used it for years and it pretty bang off. my leica broke on site got a fatmax from a local shop to get me over and i just cant knock it to be honest
Looks like a nice laser level, keep meaning to buy one but never get round to it, always cursing using multiple levels to get a datum line and keep telling myself I'll buy one!
Hi Zed Man, You’ll be able to get your hands on this Leica laser level by visiting one of our Real Deals for You Approved Stockists - check out: www.realdealsforyou.com/store-locator. We’re confident this product won’t leave you swearing, at least not when you use it!
First one which has arrived was never able to power up. Second one came all right. Batteries drained really quick. After 1 year - very rarely used, battery lid latch is gone so stand/tripod permanently attached to hold the batteries. Recently one of the magnets detached from the stand. Big disappointment.

Great laser. Crisp bright lines and absolutely level.I mostly use it with the TRI100 tripod to transfer hights and other reference levels.
Good to hear that you like this laser and I agree the tripod makes a difference. I usually set out and mark my datums then put it away.
Can it be used to transfer a spot directly above its position on the floor to the ceiling?
Hello is the laser trace on the ceiling? If yes from how far the laser thank you

You only mentioned walls. Is this device any good for flooring or ceiling work?
Not great for that kind of work. You need a 360 laser.
@@SkillBuilder I'm just laying a few vinyl tiles, so i don't want something too professional

can the horizontal line be moved up and down without moving the line laser?
No, there is no way of doing that. All laser levels are adjusted by moving the instrument up and down. The laser in the device is held in a weighted gimbal.
Skill Builder is there any other instrument that can help me draw horizontal lines by keeping the machine at one place?
