** Please excuse my incorrect pronunciation of "draught" in the video!
I had struggled with hats for a while because of my abnormally shaped head, but luckily I came across foam tapes/draught excluder tapes that led me to this diy :)
Leave me comments! I love reading them!!

So excellent! I've tried all these ways with elastic and sewing in head bands, etc to keep my large brimmed hats on my head when the wind blows but nothing works well enough that I can be relaxed. It never occurred to me I could make my hats tight. And I actually have this draught excluder-- because I moved here from the East and no one in California understands about weather proofing. Well I thank you so much clever young lady. Don't worry about your pronunciation because draught is pronounced 2 ways, one for beer and one for wind. No one understands it really.
Just did this to one of my hats that was wayyy too big and it now fits perfectly!!! Thank you!! Such a cool hack.
I am going to Hawaii and with my little head and Flappy Hats, this looks the way to go. Big THANK YOU for sharing!! Best of all, no sewing as I was afraid to try
Going to try this on a hat that I've been waiting to wear tomorrow! Love this thanks for telling Americans where we could find this tape!
Thank you so much beautiful. I just got a fedora and it’s too loose on my head and I was going to send it back but something told me to investigate how I could tighten it first and you were the highlight of my night. Thank you 😊
Bless you for this!! This has to be one of the most helpful vids I've ever come across.
A very helpful tip. This animal is very new to the mysterious world of hat-wearing and forgot that hats come in different sizes at the time of purchase.
Mannie, thank you! This works brilliantly. Your presentation was a pleasure to watch and listen to, too, too; cheerful and one hundred percent professional, clear and informative.
I found this hat at H&M that I was looking for so long and when I finally saw it I was so exited to buy it that I took the wrong size and it was an L (large) so it's a little big big for me but I'll definitely try this out 🤗🤗🤗🤗
An inexpensive, easy, fast and brilliant fix! Thank you!!
was ready to return some hats that were too big for my head. But wanted to see if I could fine a remedy on UA-cam and found your video...Brilliant and so easy !
Thanks
This worked perfect and it was as simple as you said. Thank you so much for your easy to follow video!
OMG thank you so much, such a simple but clever idea, and quick too. I`ll have much more hat options now that i know i can make them fit for almost no cost at all.
I just put a sock behind the sweatband on the back of the hat and that worked wonders. Doesn't look as pretty on the inside but it gets the job done 😃
Thank you! My sister gave me a hat for my birthday, and it was too big. What a great idea! And your video is very professional. People forget to lower their music when they speak. But you did it perfectly. A+
I bought a new hat the other day and it is slightly too big - now I know what to do. Thank you so much!
So simple but such a good idea and I already have some of that tape knocking around. Thanks

Great Tip! Only I used felt strips (looks like the coiled foam tape) that I got at Home Depot. Thanks, Mannie.
That was a cracking tip
Will definitely use it on a Lite-Felt purchased last year but never worn
.Thanks again xxx
I just got the witch brim hat from Killstar & I'm for sure going to employ your tip!! I want to wear it further back on my head without it blowing off.

The choice of different hats defines a person character, Fedora for me!
I bought a Trilby from John Lewis sale at 1/2 price slightly on the big side so this will resize it for me. Thanks for a super easy-to-do tip.

came here after buying a baker boy hat. i loved it so much but only one size was available so just bought it. its a bit loose. im gonna try this tip. thanks.
first of all, fedora are aerodynamic because of the the nature of their brims, a classier option will be to try a homburg!! wear them on a windy day, you would love it.
Good idea - I have a big head, but it's obviously not quite so big as I thought it was and I have a hat that doesn't quite fit. I shall try this!

Excellent! I just received a beautiful hat I ordered online and it's way too large. There was no way I could wear it even in a slight breeze. Problem solved. Thanks!!!
I bought a used wool cloche hat that was too big. All I did was hand baste around the loose outer edge of the inside petersham ribbon. I used two strands of regular thread and tightened it up as much as I needed. No $ spent.

The leather head band distorts quite badly, but the hat does fit?
how to straighten and make the edges round which might have occured by keeoing in under pressure.

I used two sets of bills, one for the front and one for the back. Used a $20, a $10 and a $5 for each set. Not only does my hat fit perfectly, I always have $70 with me should I run out of cash somewhere.
