For the price you cant beat this ANYWHERE. All of the features that it advertises work as designed. My dealbreaker is that between every clip theres about a 15 second “non-recording” period. This comment should serve useful for anyone within the final stages of deciding.
Yea but what people don't understand is that temu is a Chinese app and company they collect you data and share your info... And why do you think it so cheap? They want a camera in as many places as they can get... They can tap into any of them anytime they want... China is just waiting for the right time to attack the US... Look up how they're training their children and the kill all Americans and kill all Japanese ideology in their schools...they have videos of 4 and 5 year old stabbing dummies with bayonets and jumping on grenades to save their comrades... Open your eyes america

As someone in insurance claims, this would be the best $20 anyone could spend. So many accidents could be resolved with a cheap camera like this. You don't usually need to read the plate, and audio is pretty useless when it comes to what happened in an accident. Quality is good compared to others I've reviewed
Audio can help a bit. Thankfully I had the mind to start recording on my phone when I was hit, but I got the person who hit me to admit they were on the influence while driving.
audio can be helpful if you were pulled over for not signaling and you would be able to prove you were signaling with the blinker clicking sound in the recording
With money tight, this is exactly what I need for now since I'm doing uber and lift.

At 10'15" you refer to the cabin camera as being awful. Your decision was probably due to the fact that nothing could be seen out the rear window. Well, this particular camera was only meant to be for viewing inside the cabin - perhaps in the event of an accident one gets to see the trauma of what happens inside the car.
I have bought the same model dash cam, but with 3 cameras instead of two, the third camera being separate from the main body and which attaches to the rear windscreen, facing outwards into the road directly behind the car. This connects to the main dash cam by way of a separate cable which one presumably runs from the rear camera, along the length of the car, either above or below the doors, to the main dash cam. This is the camera which should (hopefully) give you decent rear view vision.
As I said, I have bought the same model dash cam, only with 3 lenses instead of two (apparently there are two versions of this dash cam - one with 2 camera lenses and one with 3. Thankfully, I bought the one with 3). I've only just received mine and haven't yet had time to set it all up so I can't comment on the quality. The reason I bought mine was not only for helping in the event of a genuine accident - many insurance companies appreciate dash cam footage, but also to act as a deterrent against the ever-increasing "crash for cash" scams that could happen.
Whilst I'm not old, I am getting older and I know these scammers tend to pick on the elderly because they see them as "easy pickin's". Hopefully this won't happen if they see I've got a dash cam in the car = particularly one that records both front and rear activities!

Perhaps cleaning the windshield can take some of the haze away. Some people fail to realize that dirty windows will effect the video quality.

I just got this, delivered yesterday and trying to figure it out. Looks like the same model I got except mine has a 3rd camera to go in the back windshield.
I'm trying to figure out how to set the date and time. The instructions aren't very detailed. Someone also commented about a 15 second delay between recording 😮 That's concerning, especially if I wreck or some other incident happens and it doesn't get recorded.

Hello! mine also lost a few seconds of recording with each new loop. After a lot of research through the dash cam's instruction manual, I discovered one that mentions this problem and explains that it occurs due to the SD card not being a high-speed C10 category. Many SD cards claim to have technical characteristics that do not correspond to reality, which is what happened to me.

See my use for this is actually the cabin camera. See i didnt buy it to see out the rear window, I wanted it to capture if someone broke into the car. A mere few inches from the camera, it'll do just fine. So yes, very much get what you pay for but it does work.
I just commented on your other video of the same cam. I bought the exact same dash cam here in Mexico and this video was very helpful. The funny thing is that, even if everything is an exact copy from specs, case, and buttons, it's listed as a different brand and also includes a rear camera for the back of the car which likely upped the price to $46 usd (but I probably won't use anyway). I just wanted an affordable dash cam that I can easily install and gets the job done.

However, I am interested in knowing whether there is an option within the 'Settings' to deactivate the recording feature of the cabin-facing camera to conserve space on the micro-SD card. Thank you.

I set loop to 10mins, there is no wait time between loops. From 10.00 it goes back to 00.01 recording seamlessly. Try that.
Crazy, because that video looks better than some store videos😂😂 The 720 looks good as well, color is alittle better. The second camera looking into the rear window is horrible. Only good for the back seat.

FYI, you need a dascham that auto updates the correct time and date everytime you turn it on if you present a dashcam video in court and the time and date is wrong, it will not be accepted as evidence. I use the Garmin dashcam mini 2, I have 5 of them linked together via Garmin drive app and have 360 degree video outside of the car and one interior camera.
I'm thinking maybe the rear video is much better at night. Anyway..my biggest issue is the directions. They're so small ! For those of us that are new to dash cams, tech in general..Make a quick tutorial of how to use it would you Jeremy ? :) Also..include how to format and what you do to play back the video. I assume you're taking the card out and looking at the files on your laptop ? I've been looking for a tutorial as i'm sure many others are. Temu has sold a ton of these. Thanks for this 1 though ,jeremy.
You are totally correct
For me I just take the camera out and plug it into my pc, it pops up with options like memory, pc camera, video. No need to take out the card if you don't want too.

Quick update...I did figure it out. Had to break out with a magnifying glass for the directions..lol Happy to report I'm up and running. Running it 720 and picture is just fine. Still recommend a hands on tutorial for others though.
@@gioelite68 haven’t tried 720 yet. I know changing the other quality I think the megapixels? It has 1,2,3. I set it on 3 and 6 seconds is already 1.52 gb’s 💀 set it back to 1

Nice unboxing. But in my state the camera would be too big. The max dimension is 4 sq. in. (2x2). The main problem is an epidemic of tailgating! On solution would be for safe drivers to be able to turn on their backup cameras whenever they are driving to document tailgating behavior. Would be great to catch their harassing antics on camera. The device you have there wouldn’t work in my state for two reasons: 1) obviously it’s too big, and 2) seeing the rear cabin behind the driver wouldn’t capture the car/truck directly behind your car. A camera specifically designed to monitor what’s happening back there would be a great deterrent for tailgaters, if they notice the camera in your rear view window. The icing on the cake would be to have the traffic division of your town or city’s police department mail a ticket to the offending tailgater. That would likely stop or drastically reduce following too close. The reason they tailgate is because there really are no deterrents.
I'v just bought this, I never owned 1 before so i'v nothing to compare it to, I thought ur clips were good so I'm gonna have to find a clip of what u think a good camera is & compare. In my box there was a rear camera included so I've the 3 views. It'll def do what I need it for in Ireland. Thanks you.
I just ordered one. For 20 bucks, it performs like other 20 dollar cameras. There to show the red-light, or the roadrager or to deter a jackass because you have a camera.
I just received this cam, I had a third cam in the box with a square small camera that you can connect using a jackplug with a three meter cable for the rear window of the car..

The rear cam seems to be clearer through medium tinted windows.
I think the video quality both front and back looks great especially in the back considering your back window is dirty.

Hi. From my experience skipping picture happening due to low speed memory card. In my case i bought SD card on ebay what after all was fake. Another i purchased direct from samsung and no more skipping picture. My experience was with different dash cam but Good quality card fixed issue.

Does anyone know (without guessing) exactly what the large button next to the pilot light does and also what the pilot light blinking and different colors means? The manual manual leaves all this out, which is why it costs $4.99 on AliEx

Jeremy, Great video. I purchased this camera with the back up camera also on Ali Express for less than you did however, there are things I cannot get it to do. Mine turns off after a few minutes. I know somehow I can have it never turn off and just continue with loop recording. Can you explain how do that?

Do you know if the back camera (for the back window) is water/weather proof? I wrecked the car I was using it in, and just got a vehicle yesterday with a hatchback.
I tried every which way to position it inside but it was either pointing to the ground or pointing too far up.
I finally had to run the cord through the hatchback door and gorilla tape it to the window frame. I should screw it on there but I need to make sure it's waterproof first.

I ordered it but I can’t figure out how to use it at all? The instructions are horrible. Do you understand the buttons aside from changing the cameras? I figured that out from your video tapping that button. What’s the other buttons do? Do I have to manually tap a button to make it record or is it always automatic?

Bought two and they both came with additional rear cams to plug into the dash cam BUT I cant figure out how to activate the rear cam. Should it be automatic or am I doing something wrong? By they way great videos, keep up the good work.

I'm not sure why you didn't get a suction mount. I know some dash cams use sticky tape to semi-permanently mount it to the windshield. You may have to do it that way.
I have this. Mine records in a 10 minute loop then starts over. Does it erase the previous 10 minutes or does it save them all?

I can’t figure out how to access the menu so I can change the date even? Mine is showing 2/01/23. I somehow keep taking pictures and videos. No idea how I’m even doing that, but it is recording. I found out by putting the SD card in my computer and I could view the clips. I just wish there was a good tutorial on this thing.

Press ok to stop recording, then hold the mine button for a few seconds to enter the menu.

It has to be formatted inside the camera. I'm not sure which format it uses.

@@JeremyHill I think will continue to improve as time goes on. The back camera is now referenced as can cam. Anyway how easy is it to get recordings off the camera. Are both cameras recorded at the same time or does the recording bounce between the front n back camera?
