That is an absolutely epic video Andy, this is the type of thing every fisho wants to watch! Very well put together mate, thanks for going to the effort to dive and film it. So cool to see! 👌🎣
Awesome video. Fantastic to see these fish in the natural environment. I was actually surprised to see so many healthy fish stocked in not so healthy water.
Great video! good to see a good number of Jacks, I've noticed they always like the safety of structure my self, I did an experiment a bit like this a few years ago with bream, I noticed everyone was only catching smaller ones but when I went for a snorkel there were heaps of larger fish, they got that way for a reason, I noticed they would hang around the outskirts and watch the smaller fish feed first to see if it was safe, obviously the smaller ones would get caught and they would take off, I think this is one of the reasons most only catch the smaller fish, I found it was better when you fed them for a while first to make the larger ones more relaxed, I ended up catching them quite easy after that by just floating a line with a hook without a sinker in front of them while I was in the water, my friend didn't get a single fish on land and I kept catching them, something to consider though is it could also attract sharks 🙂
You've confirmed my own findings of Gold Coast & Tweed fishing - that it's a wall-to-wall carpet of sodding rat bream, and no matter what you try fishing for, one of the little vermin will always get there first!
Hey mate super interesting watching there behaviour, I thought they would have scattered at the first site but looks like they got use to you after a while. keep up the great vids mate👌
Great video! I’m surprised they took the line right in front of you. I’d be pretty willing to put money on that ‘fingermark’ being a Moses perch. Eventhough they both have a ‘mark’ the other colouration is pretty different.
Awesome footage Andy, I've got a lake in brissy I've wanted to know what lerks in there we have hooked up on 200 pound braid 300 pound leader. using a 30 Stella *locked up many times to only be taken into the drain section of the lake , thinking it's a man eating size grouper, have also caught jacks big estuary cod and heaps of lady fish GH never seen a trevally caught in all the years there,
@@CoastfishTV 😆 nice mate for sure anytime I'm curious azz to know what beasts lurk there , I'm pretty sure it's not a bully thou fished it regularly for at least 20 years now ,and never caught a bully or herd of any of the other regulars there encountering one I've stopped a few good estury cod around 20-25kg in there and released them back , and the other giant we can't stop heads straight for the drain everytime , .it would be an interesting activity nevertheless.
Cheers for the thumbs up and comments legends 🤙 That's pumped me up to do another underwater vid. Standby

Awesome video mate. Is great to see how they fed and how comfortable they got with you in their environment
Cheers mate. Sure was interesting to see their behaviours 🎣
Cool video. I did a dive in the seaway years ago and saw a school of about 30 big ones. No one fishing off the rocks was getting any.
Wow. I'm not far from the Seaway. Heard they're huge 🎣
I'd love to see more of this. Good stuff
Consider it done 👌
Dare you to do that at the bottom of Somerset St Windsor. Breakfast creek drain. Bull shark breeding hole. Top vid mate.
Yeah i'll stay away from the Bullies haha. Cheers buddy 🎣

amazing that there is so much life given how much pressure recreational anglers place on them

New underwater vid being posted on 22.1.23 at 6pm
Amazing
Thank you sir!
The fingermark is actually a Moses perch
Nice!
Great video
Cheers David!
What size do you reckon the larger jacks were?
I'd say low 50's at the biggest. May be a couple of others I missed that were hiding deeper in the pipe.
Time to start using chicken as bait 😁
Go for it! It works
Wow
Waw...niceee brother
Thank you so much 😀
Makes me want one in a fish tank
Interesting content
what suburb on the goldie is this in?
Would you ever come across a shark in these waters?
Highly unlikely here.
So sick
Cheers brother 🤙
Did the released jack go back to the school at the drain?
Don't know. It shot off to quick
is this cabbage tree point
Gold Coast area. We'd like to keep this spot quiet for the purpose of preserving and observing these fish 🐟
What if you find a Gold nugget there? Do we get a share in it 🤔
Of course 🙂
Red tide
