Your version of this song is a lot closer in spirit to the original than what was sung in the new Broadway revival done several years ago. Thanks for putting some soul back into the song.

In the actual Broadway revival stage show itself, it was really, really good. The cast recording was recorded and mixed in such a way that de-emphasized the instrumental backing and bumped the vocals up front. It was important to Ragni and Rado that the lyrics be understood. Few Hair cast recordings actually went through that kind of care. (Having said that, the new Broadway revival cast recording is by far NOT my favorite.)
