• DIY Truck Bed Camper
I am building a truck bed camper for my Nissan Frontier! The bed of my truck is relatively small, so the camper isn't huge. The roof pops up to create a sleeping area that is about the size of a two-person tent. It will also feature drawers for storage and a camp kitchen.
If you haven't seen part 1, check it out: • Building a Truck Bed C...
In this video, I show how the exterior walls were skinned and finished with PMF (poor man's fiberglass). After the painting is finished, I can put the finishing touches on the exterior and start building out the interior! So, please subscribe to my channel to see the next video on the camper!
Here are some of the resources I used to learn more about PMF.

In general, there are a lot of threads on PMF if you search around tnttt.com.

Those pvc bumpers on the bottom, that idea was brilliant. That blew me away.
Why Couldn't I Have Been This Ingeniously and Productively Creative When I Was His Age !??! Instead of an Idiot!?! 😶 Blessings Bro ! You Rock! Please Dont Change a Thing With Your Presentation or Edits' There Super Enjoyable And Effiecient To Watch!✌👍🇺🇸
I like how you used a pair of screws at each location so that any stress towards pulling the skin off would be distributed across the two screws instead of just one.
I am thoroughly enjoying your build, especially since it is close in concept to ideas I have been kicking around. since I am just getting into the nitty gritty of how to go from concept to completed camper, your links are helpful in addition to your videos. I'm eager to see more of this build series and learn about how things turn out. Keep up the excellent work!
So awesome! I almost thought you had quit making videos. NO idea how I thought your 2nd video published in January. Ready for the next part!!!
Great to have a helper.
Great job so far. I’m looking for a project for my truck, this looks like a good alternative to just my cap back for the truck. Thank you for your inspiration. Enjoy the rest of your build looking forward to your upcoming videos. Rik🤪

Thats the best idea I yet to see for building a truck bed camper. I like it. I'm subbing and looking forward to seeing the end result!. I have been thing about a truck bed topper shell that I could use on weekend excursions but after seeing this I would rather build one and know what I've got.... Great idea you got there.

I like your build. I’ll copy this but with foam. Maybe 1/4” ply on the inside.
Waiting to see the next video for more progress. Might be stealing your ideas for mine ... if I can ever get it started
NICE JOB I LIKE IT
Well done
Outstanding young pilgrim ..😁
DAMN BOY. YOU SIR ARE SMART
Consider screwing from inside so that you minimize exterior screw holes.
Awesome dude. Btw you can get boat trailer slides if you want something stronger underneath, cheap on ebay

Nice design bro..
Very innovative! The PVC on the bottom may be an issue since the friction between the truck bed and camper is one of the things that holds the camper from moving around. Now all that work will need to be done by your tie downs.

I’m curious about this as well. Also, do the bolts that hold the PVC in place scratch the surfaces?
That's a nice little camper design that you have you should get a patent for it you might be onto something to start a business

Get a dumbbell and start working out that right arm.. So it won't cause health problems
I'll be doing a similar design but I'm topping mine with the top of an old El Camino high top camper cap.
Very cool!
I have been looking for ideas to build a small camper that fits on a small truck box.
My Truck box is 64 inches wide By 80 inches long.
I would like the camper to be 6 feet on the inside plus I need insulation for winter, they get pretty cold in Canada.
I want my insulation to be 8 R-value, plus build in a small wood stove.
How’s the camper holding up?
1:59 ooookayy😂😂😂
Next video please
Ur a badass
Thanks for the great tutorial. Have you come across any PMF treated stuff in the wild? How long does it last?
