You should put your plants outside as much as possible, it does them a world of good, you can't beat natural light and the outdoors for plants. I'm in NJ, I put my plants outside from the middle of May till October, in the right light for them, they triple their size.
@@AmbersDaintyBush Before I bring them in I hose them off, then I'll spray them with a soap spray made of Ivory bath soap, alcohol and water mix. Take a 32oz bottle of hot water, ( fill with about 24 oz of hot water} put about 5 slivers of soap and about a 1/2 cup of the rubbing alcohol, let the soap melt then shake it to mix everything up, you now have your homemade insecticidel soap.
The wooden hands IKEA sells can be used to hang plants from the walls. We used a couple to hold light weight plants and it really gives it a fun vibe in our living room.
Thank you for your plant shopping videos, I always enjoy that you don't rush through, & always tell us the prices. I'd love to see what you decide on for your plant room & how you do it.
Love your shopping videos! 😍 For the rug sliding around maybe you could get anti-slip mat for rugs! It's like a rubber mat that goes under your normal rug and keeps it in place 👌✨
Loved your IKEA shopping video and that you also looked at things that weren't in the plant section for plant stand ideas. I got some great ideas from this video. Also wanted to mention that the small Olivblad plant stand is awesome to put on a tabletop. I have a trailing plant on the top tier and a smaller plant on the bottom. It's a great way to maximize space!
Hi Ashley, enjoyed this Ikea video very much, thank you! Love their woven baskets and many of their plant stands. I’m always looking for good tips to keep my plant room looking more organized, neat and clean. It’s a great hobby and seeing my plants at their best gives me a lot of joy. Happy growing! 👌🪴🥰
Those racks at about 10 minutes in, a local plant bar, a business that it has a whole bunch of plants and a whole bunch of pots and soils and all different types of things you can make, You can kind of Subway style construct your own plant, anyways this is the rack that they have at each station and it's covered in supplies and substrate and gravel etc.
I have seen so many reasons to take a drive to Ikea to purchase a plant shelf or two, plants, a watering can, etc! You gave me so many ideas of how to use some of the stands and how much their things cost. Thanks so much!
I got one of the little snake plants and the roots were totally wrapped up in foam. It was spiraled around all the individual plants under the soil, I had no idea it was there! luckily I was able to cut it apart and ended up separating it into two different plants since it was all taken apart anyway.
I thought the mostly glass shelving interesting. Your plant room looks a lot like my bird room (I have four parrots) which doubles as a plant room. There are cats in the house so everything vulnerable to cats resides in there. I hadn't thought about glass shelving, because what if one of the glass plates breaks? Yet I do see the advantages of having something like that. It would mean being extra careful.
I love ikea! I bought some live plants that are still incredibly healthy. I wasn’t sure how ikea plants would be, but they’ve been thriving for over 2 years now. They have great deals on plant pots & hanging planters too. Their leca is also only $7/bag.
I still have a picture I took from September of 2021 when the Detolf glass cabinet was only $59.99 😵 can't believe it's gone up to $129.99 in a year and a half about
I love these plant, thrift, and IKEA videos. Thanks Ashley, your the best.
I like the Omar line. Sturdy, practical.
I can’t wait to watch while you re-do your plant room I could really use some ideas.

Going to try this this year! Do you ever have more pests outside vs in?

Omg Hi neighbor!!! I’m in CLT as well, so glad I found you ❤️
Love your shopping videos. Went to Ikea recently and fell in love with the watermelon pillow. My daughter and I both bought one.

Our nearest IKEA is almost 4 hours away… I’ve never actually been in one so it’s interesting to see your videos shopping there😊
Nice video.
Thanks for sharing it.
Thanks for your time.
Loved this! Do you have Trader Joe’s there? If so, can you do a plant shopping vlog there?
We don't have IKEA here in New Mexico. No Aldi. No " in and out burger" . Bummer. Time to move.
But you have ALL THE CACTI! 🌵 💚

Holy Cow the Milsbo went from $200 to $300 😩😩😩 and Vittsjo went from $80 to $120 😭😭😭
Athens Ohio
My wallet is suddenly very grateful that the nearest ikea is 2hrs away.
Also, my oldest plant (12yrs ago) is actually from ikea.
I guess I’m glad we don’t have an ikea anywhere near me. 🌷💚🙃

Please souport your small garden stores. The mom and pop garden stores need your money more. Ikea does not!
