Eurofighter has better energy but rafale pulls a bit harder at those lower speeds. Very dependant on matchup knowledge and pilot skill. Both are insane compared to the current jets at top tier
If the Rafale was correctly modeled you wouldn't lose any dogfights at low speeds... It clearly lacks authority on the nose at low speed or it's the Typhoon that has too much. So either the Rafale is badly made or the Typhoon is overrated by Gaijin. Irl there has never been a match between the 2... So unless the RAF pilots are very bad (which I don't think) the Rafale is better at dogfighting, and it's no secret. But Gaijin and French planes are a love story...

@@strf90105 Neither MICA IR nor IRIS-T will be added this update. MICA EM which is in the game suffers from various issues while AIM-120B on Eurofighter doesn't. At short range IRIS-T will be superior while MICA IR has a longer range. Meteor is even further away and both jets would likely receive it at the same time.

While it's technically the same gun, the GIAT 30, it's not the same caliber and fire rate at all. The rafale use a 30*150mm round, while the tiger uses a 30*113

@@kansheeethe rafale has been made with stealth in mind, its definitly anywhere close to J20 or f35 stealth but outclasses any 4th and 4th.5 gen as the rafale include S intakes (no visible engine blade signature) aswell as stealth coating/paint similar to f22 and f35s allowing to absorb radar wave and significantly reduce RCS

Like the case where a simulated fight of 2 rafale vs 4 typhoon won all the different match. Things like that Things is that, in War Thunder, multiple elements that make the rafale good are not in. Such as the spectra system that can detect precisely which type of missile is locked and on your ass and dispense flares/chaff accordingly while telling you what to do. Or its semi stealth considering its material used and design There is a very good thread on the war thunder forum ahout the rafale

@@zooom7452 I am assuming you are talking about static thurst ? Unfortunately, static thrust is almost a useless metric... Also duct efficiency is a thing. Best thing you can do to make sure is checking max speed and time to reach a given speed. Well, that's if that information is publicly available. For instance, Rafale can't supercruise at mach 1.4 clean in game, while it is capable of doing it with 6 MICAs IRL. So Rafale is underperforming in dynamic thrust, at least dry (probably wet as well). Both aircrafts definitely need some more tuning.
Currently the EF does everything better than the rafale, but the rafale has far better missiles for dogfighting and HOBS before merging, where the aim120 are useless

In combat, energy is everything. The eurofighter has a superior T/W ratio than the rafale whilst both are limited to 9G. This would suggest the eurofighter is better in both BVR and WVR combat especially at higher altitude

The C loses to the A, 90% of the time I bet on the F16A that performs significantly better at low speed. The F16A practically almost never stalls and if it does it still has more control in that stall then a M2k or even the Gripen

EF2000 pulls better at any speed compared to the rafale, with higher sustained turn rate too at any speed, it just outclasses it in raw performance

MICA EM which is in the game suffers from various issues while AIM-120B on Eurofighter doesn't.
At short range IRIS-T will be superior while MICA IR has a longer range.
Meteor is even further away and both jets would likely receive it at the same time.
@@calimdonmorgul7206 Good for MICA because the last time Gaijin didn't know what to do with a nerfed Magic 2, they just buffed it back to its original specs. As you said, IRIS-T and MICA IR aren't coming in the game any time soon, so there's time for improvements. Until then, Typhoon will be the 2nd king of BVR while Rafale becomes the dog-fighting king.

While it's technically the same gun, the GIAT 30, it's not the same caliber and fire rate at all. The rafale use a 30*150mm round, while the tiger uses a 30*113
Every IRL matchup I've heard of between these 2 absolute weapons has said the same thing, Rafale better AOA, Typhoon dominates everything else.

Things is that, in War Thunder, multiple elements that make the rafale good are not in. Such as the spectra system that can detect precisely which type of missile is locked and on your ass and dispense flares/chaff accordingly while telling you what to do.
Or its semi stealth considering its material used and design

Best thing you can do to make sure is checking max speed and time to reach a given speed.
Well, that's if that information is publicly available.
For instance, Rafale can't supercruise at mach 1.4 clean in game, while it is capable of doing it with 6 MICAs IRL.
So Rafale is underperforming in dynamic thrust, at least dry (probably wet as well).
Both aircrafts definitely need some more tuning.
It goes from 0 to Mach 1 in 20s and can reach Mach 1.33 at 2000m just after takeoff.
Mind I say this is on full fuel and full A2A missile load out.

In combat, energy is everything. The eurofighter has a superior T/W ratio than the rafale whilst both are limited to 9G. This would suggest the eurofighter is better in both BVR and WVR combat especially at higher altitude

The C loses to the A, 90% of the time I bet on the F16A that performs significantly better at low speed.
The F16A practically almost never stalls and if it does it still has more control in that stall then a M2k or even the Gripen

@@strangedeergaming4848 it's in general, the Rafale IRL is multirole, Air/Ground, Air/Air, Air/Sea, it's because in certain areas the burst dominates the EF2000, afterward in dogfight, I don't know who wins because in the game it's easy, you just have to see the opponent, in IRL you only see the cockpit so you don't see the enemy tlt and then you also need a good pilot

In a very short burst the Rafael pulls higher aoa. However the typhon keeps more energy after a turn. This gives it longevity in a fight, something the Rafael has... None of...
