- We have not had a winter in North Texas this year. We’ve had maybe 14 to 18 days of cold temperatures other than that it has been cool and mild. Sometimes this throws a wrench in our plans because we do need the cold weather to kill off insects and disease in the soils and we’ve not really gotten that this year. Our seed starts are going ballistic And looking wonderful for our upcoming plant sales. It will not be long before we will begin to see our Vegetables herbs and flowers prospering. We are praying for a mild summer. Pray along with us because honestly, the heat is about ready to knock us out. If you’re looking for seeds for your garden, please check out our varieties below.

I'm praying for a mild summer as well. Thanks for sharing!
Good to hear from you!❤❤❤❤
I'm in the process of moving but I hope I can get some seeds started before it gets too late. I'm praying with you for a better summer.
I sure hope you’re correct on the weather! Blessings!
Yes, I’m with you on requesting to the, Lord, for a mild summer. 🙏🏼
I’ve grown sweet potato last year and it was a success. Years before, I tried planting them like I would with a potato, no wonder there’s no yield as I’m supposed to plant the slips 😅. Live ‘n learn. I’m anticipating to plant purple sweet potato this year, Lord willing.
A mild summer would be great BUT that’s why I have shifted to using native and well adapted plants in my landscape. Total game changer. I’m still working on my veggie skills. Thanks for the motivation! Prayers for a bountiful growing season for you!
Good to hear the update for you guys. Here in Oklahoma, we got rain and maybe mix and snow. The weather has been so random. Hope your seeds bloom and flourish. Love you guys' Jill.
Thank you Bobby! Love you too
We love all the products you have in your website store!
Thank you sister!
My feverfew got attacked by chrysanthemum bugs last summer. It wasn’t big and I was pretty sure it was gone. It had a few flowers before it died so I plucked the dried flowers off and left them in the pot. It started growing again in the fall and is still doing fine despite being in a small pot and 10inches of snow and 4 strait days below freezing. That stuff is tough.
We just planted a few red lakotas in containers, and the warm temps made it feel like real work.
For real!!!
I live in Arlington and I'm getting my seedlings going early
I’m excited for the growing season!🥳 I lost all three of my pear trees last year to fungus. I tried my best using copper fungicide and apple cider vinegar which did work but they just gave up. But anyway I’m hopping for great weather as well. Happy growing😊
❤
Omg…I wish it was 80 here. It’s 27 today. But I got a fireplace going and I’m snuggled up pretty good watching you 😊♥️ Look at those plants! What a beautiful sight….
I envy you honestly… not ready for the heat my love
Everything looks great! I started about 280 cells so far. I sow every 2 weeks so I can keep up on up potting and it opens up space on the seedling mats to start new seedlings. We are under about 6 inches of unheard of snow right now. We had to shut down schools for 4 days. I love the slow snow melt because it soaks into our ground over time. This coming summer? No idea. I just aim to have everything on irrigation. I can control that, right?
That is a lot of cells!! I love that you have them on a rotation so you're always ready to go.
Jill, where is your farm stand? I’d love to go get some plants from you
We are in Alvarado gal. Send me an email
Wednesday we are looking at ice and snow here . YIKES !! It is only 48 in SW Oklahoma at the Texas border.
Crazy… just an hour 1/2 south we are summet
Will you be planting anything in your Greenstalks this season?
I intend too gal
Are the greenstacks worth it? @@ntxg
It's supposed to get into the 20s overnight. Whole week is going to be cold Sunday thru Thursday 40s and 20s and 30s at night
I know! We’re supposed to get a little cool down too.
Hey gal! I had those purple hull peas (some from 2020 - Jimmy's last crop). And, cornbread 😂. It hit the spot!
Awe that’s so wonderful
Where can I find you on the map? You’re only about 30 minutes from me
What are the chances of a late freeze killing everything?
Very slim in the high tunnels. We can protect in there
what do you do with feverfew??
Medicinal herb for inflammation!
My mom‘s in Scottsdale it’s not 83 there yet. I guess Texas does get hotter than Arizona. I’m in Northeast Ohio average temperature 20° every day. I’m freezing.! 😂❤
Awe gal!!! You’ll be warmed up soon!
Good morning sweet sister well pray for us here in California the tsunami of the California fire Insurance could take all of our homes Without fire😂😅
I am praying for you, sister!
I still have not started ANY seeds. Have I told you about the hurricane damage? Wait, never-mind..it's been 4 months..I have told EVERYONE. 🤣🤣My neighbor got their house finished, a couple of weeks ago, and said that was the longest 3 months of my life...then...SO, how did your rebuild go? 🤨🤔🤔😲..What grade do you teach? You teach children? 😆😆😯 I turned and looked at the tarp on the roof and said..We still are waiting on the roofers...can't fix the inside until the ROOF is done..HINT- half the roof is under a giant BLUE tarp...
Yes on joining in prayer for a "normal" summer...not sure what that is anymore though, lol! 😂😘🪴
For real!
