You know having Baul yell at Sebek is almost like how Sebek yells at us. Almost feels kind of nice that he’s getting dished out what he dishes out to us
Spent his childhood getting megaphoned at by grandpa, so he can now only communicate in shouts.
I like Baul now, but I didn’t like him when I first met him because I was like “…so YOU’RE the reason for Sebek’s internalized racism!”
Also, seeing Baul be mean to Sebek always breaks my heart. Sebek is my special little guy, he just wants his grandpa to be proud of him 😭
I think they couldn’t use Baal because it’s a demon name and saying a demon name in a kids show is a no-no in American media (old farts’ fault, this is not 20th century church). Not surprised by the Zigvolts emigrating from Sunset Savanna, there’s no crocodiles native to Russia as it’s too cold for them.
My poor Sebek. My son deserves more love. I don’t hate Baal for his bias against humans because I get why especially here, but why did he have to instill the same thing on his grandson? His YOUNGEST grandchild at that? If not for that, Sebek would be seen by everyone in the fandom as the cinnamon roll he really is.
