I am curious when they will be released to the United States. I do see the Benelli Italy website has the specs now. I was looking at picking up the 24" barrel SuperNova but may wait for the Nova Speed. I definitely like the changes.
Well, there's a market for the Nova in Canada because of the 5-round limit on semis. The usual thing was to use box mag fed shotguns, but most of the common types were banned last year as variants of the AR-15, etc. And as far as 3.5" chambers go, that's commonly used in Canada because it gives you one more round in a semi.
Have often considered getting into practical but clubs/appropriate grounds are very few & far between. When this current lockdown ends it will be great to get out again and bust some Devon clays.
Thanks a looot. I'm going to start with IPSC Practical Shotgun Manual (pump action). I already do IPSC pistol and mini-rifle (cal .22). I don't know what shotgun should buy (or avoid). My shooting club has areas about 25 meters long. Targets will be from 2 meters to a maximum of 15 meters. There is a proyect to construct new areas about 50 m but I don't know if shotguns will be allowed in the new areas. As I can see most people use Benelli Nova - supernova. There are 2 Benelli models Nova Tactical and Nova Slug that comes in 50 cm (20 inches) barrels (I'm writing from Spain). I don't know if those models can be competitive, having in mind the shooting areas (25 meters x 45 metros) and targets distance. Seems that those Tactical models don't allow chokes. Sure I'm wrong but 61 cm (24 inches) seems too long (Again having in mind the kind of stages that can be set in the shooting range I go). Or may be just it's a question of practice / training. I'm abosolute lost and, please, I need a little "enlightment". Thanks a lot.
What will be the length of the barrel on m2 speed to match the standard magazine length? Or there will be few types of barrels and different magazine lengths with different round quantity matching the barrel length?
Great job! I agree with everything you said about quality and price. When given a choice of 2 shotguns coming factory complete and ready for level 5 its a game changer. I have not been happy with the poor quality shotguns on every level. Look at the beretta silver pigeon with all its accolades it is a very low quality gun in my opinion. Wood is low grade maybe a grade 2 if were lucky. Engraving none to minimal and thats laser engraving. Browning same thing. Price around $2000.00 . So Benelli is stepping up their game. I hope they keep it up.
Got the M2 & it´s an awesome semiauto shotgun...BUT, whether the intended use is hunting or competition...too much mods needs to be done...that should have been taken care of at the factory. The most crucial is the fork like lifter of the M2....I´ve installed the flat end TTI lifter & no more cursing & no more sore Benelli thumb. When the M2 SP came out...i couldn´t understand why they kinda did it halfway... still the forklifter & a nothing of effect done to the port. Happy to see Benelli finally starting to give the competetive customers what they want. Now i´d like to see Beretta come out with the 1301 Comp Pro "v.2.0" with a milled out loading port...like what´s done with the new Speed models
I just want to be able to buy that new shortened forend for my Supernova Tactical. Then I'll get the Magload kit to go along with it. I doubt Benelli will sell that new forend as a standalone part though 😌
Looks good but sod this I’m not selling my shotguns again to get these ones. I took Connors advice that the new 1301 comp pro was better than the M2 SP so I sold it then got the pro. Not going to sell my supernova to get this new one it all takes time then you have to send your certificate back for a variation which takes even longer. I will probably take my supernova to Conners so he can tweak it. One thing I will say I think the Beneli shotguns are not as comfortable to shoot as the Beretta shotguns
Also quick question, is collecting a good reason for having an FAC. If yes, how would slots work if i plan on owning a quite large collection (around 15 to 20) Or would it be easier to just buy the deactivated versions?
Yes it is, you need to be a member of HBSA or a relevant association and establish that you've got some kind of bona fide interest. Different forces work the authorities in different ways. I had authority to collect ammunition, it was just listed as ANY under calibre and a total of 5,000 in quantity to acquire or possess. The main thing you need is really serious security, I had a strongroom. As far as guns, usually you need an authority for each gun but years ago I have seen FACs that were pretty open-ended, like 20x rifles .303 or whatever for a LE collector.
@@MajorJimPlays Of course you can collect guns. The entire membership of the HBSA would be surprised at your answer! Section 2 it's totally dead simple, all you need is sufficient security. The law says you can be granted a SGC for any reason, just that you must not have "no" good reason. There's a whole section in HO guidance on gun collecting.
Nice mods on both those guns, I’ll stick with my stoeger m3 k that I can’t collect 🤨 as I’m not a pro only doing practical 6 times a year at my club, I think this’ll be enough for me. But from a pro point of view they seem a fantastic buy.
Anyone hear anything about the speed releasing in the US? Is it a LOT better to shoot than a 1301 comp...or just a marginal difference? I like Beretta and benelli...gas and inertia soooo....not too picky.
Not everyone is or wants to be a Level 3+ competition shooter. Most "out of the box" practical ready gun is fine for club shoots. We're not all Jerry Miculek, or aspire to be 😄
It’s pretty clear these companies are dribbling out the obvious upgrades at a glacial pace so people have a reason to run out and buy the next gen gun. I mean look at the lifter on the new Nova it is STILL not solid. Oh and I think the cut out looks similar to the B12i, probably coming out of the same factory.
What do you think? Are the new SPEEDs heading straight to the top of the practical shotgun pile?
What do you recommend for my first S1 shotgun - the M2 speed or 1301 comp pro?
@@mylog9623what did you get??

3 inch gives 1 more, 3.5 gives 2 more
That pump looks like a supernova with that comfort tech stock but the regular nova trigger guard either way I want one!!!
The 12ga Novas have a 3.5" chamber

Small correction: the standard Nova can take 3.5" shells, just like the Super Nova. I know this since I own one.

Any options for optics rails on any of these?
Looking forward to meet the Benelli.

M2 Speed - 1900 EUR, Nova Speed 1350 EUR in Finland. Nova is starting from 850 EUR. Not too bad for Benelli.

Benelli dealers may be able to by in the handguard but we don't yet know if it's going to be compatible.

Activated section 1 or 2. no. The only time I can think collecting is a valid reason to own an activated firearm would be section 7.3 pistols.
@@MajorJimPlays ah ok
Thanks for replying
I will probably go for the deactivated versions then 👍

Hi callum!
Hello Doggo!
I really like the look of the new 2021 M2. Let's see how many dogecoins I'll need to sell ;)
Many, many, dogecoins
You want "out-of-the-box" ready? Just go get a Mossberg 940. No need for a comfort stock.
😂
