I actually saw this program when it aired. I was 8. That green and black sweater is imprinted onto my memory.
Finally paying credit to Mick Ronson, great.
ian hunter paid tribute to mick also, in a song called michael picasso, fyi.
This is awesome - I became kind of obsessed with Lisa Dalbello, and especially the 'whomanfousays' album when I was a youngster back in the mid-80s. (Only got into the earlier Bowie/Ronson stuff later on, so I'm definitely approaching this as a Dalbello fan.) She was an absolute powerhouse of a singer, and one of those artists that was mostly known and loved by other artists. Covered by bands like Heart and Queensryche, she's written for people like Julian Lennon and Patti Labelle and you'll hear her backing vocals on Alannah Myles' early 90s hit 'Black Velvet'. Love her.
Cool! I'm Norwegian and a Dalbello fan! This is great!
Sweet Jaysus. That interview was painful. But Dalbello & Mick are heroes.
The tension in this song is brilliant~~
She is a genius...Mick is a genius.....they became DALBELLO.
I absolutely love this
Silly questions... but great performance as always.
GOOD! Super !
Прекрасная Лиза !
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The are both Lip-Syncing as Mick is miming to his earlier recorded answers. This is due to every interview is done this way in Denmark...
She seems like juuussst the right amount of crazy when she is performing. ;o)
First version I ever heard of this song was around 1985 when queensryche rerecorded it for their second full-length LP called rage for order. I always thought it was there original song until I read somewhere that they covered it. This is my first time hearing the original version (assuming this is the original version)
I´m German Fan.
Awesome. Kinda like Taylor Dane souixie and the Kate Bush nees
Lip sync but she is so brilliant
Knowing Mick, he probably had several children with Dalbello during his short association with her :-)
Micks name on the screen when he started to play was “cringe as f” as the kids would say these days. I’m not sure of his ACTUAL involvement with her or if it was just lip sync? I heard he was hard up for cash around this time but not sure if it’s true? Micks guitar tone and playing was innovative.
They produced an entire album together, entitled whomfanfoursays. It's worth checking out.
Poor Ronson. What he had to do for money. Play back guitar on a Norwegian TV show. The 80s were a terrible time for guitarists like him.
Why Poor Ronno? Nobody was forcing him to collaborate with Lisa, that was his own decision.
None of this!!! Ronno was an artist at 360 degrees and was open to the new; That same year he had to produce the album of the return of Tina Turner "Private dancer " But everything faded into nothing.
His memorable production and contribution to "Your Arsenal" by Morrissey.
Unfortunately it was a little unfortunate after the separation with Bowie, certainly in that period did not sail in good water financially speaking, but it was one who did not "sold" for money, never bothered copyright for the first albums with Bowie and for the Lou Reed's "Rebirth" disc where his contribution was determined by leaving an indelible mark
@@dalbellofanpage Mick spread himself very thin, he helped everybody. Unfortunately he didn't recover his costs for his production and contributions to content for many artists, he was a soft touch and was purely in it for the music. He deserved better financially. With all that talent he didn't die a monetarily rich man. Plus Mainman jerked him around big time.
What a stunning performance from Dalbello. Mick Ronson never disappoints, a true superstar with an eclectic style.. Love him 💗 sleep tight mick.
