- Demonstrators gathered in Belgrade to mark the 25th anniversary of the start of NATO's aerial bombing campaign against the country. The crowd gathered outside the former army headquarters damaged in the bombardment. The bombardment stopped Serbia’s crackdown against ethnic Albanian separatists, ending Belgrade’s rule over its former province of Kosovo. The protesters waved Serbian and Russian flags and observed a minute of silence for the victims of the Moscow concert hall attack. Watch the video to find out more.

Europe stood by and watched the genocide taking place in Bosnia for far too long without taking action. When they did after Srebenica it was quick, decisive and brought the barbaric war to a quick end. Those responsible were eventually handed over by the Serbs to be tried in the International Criminal Court for their war crimes. It was NATOs first military action after 50 Years and saved tens of thousands of lives.
It is a great pity that the Africa;Union did not act in a similar way in Rwanda and save countless lives in the same way as NATO did. @@zallyzally2698

Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria had to let NATO jets to fly over their territory, since those are northern neighboring countries, Croatia wasn't in NATO back then but also gave its air space to flights over. Bosnia and Hercegovina already had NATO bases on its territory as a "peace keeping" forces which were also used by NATO to attack Serbia even though Bosnia still isn't member of alliance , North Macedonia as candidate to alliance back then was used to pile up 150.000 NATO soldiers on the border with Serbia, and Albania also was used to pile up German, USA and British forces on the border with Serbia along with its own shitty army. Other countries like Turkey, Poland, Portugal, France, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Italy all gave their military equipment (jets, ships and submarines) to be used to attack Serbia. Only NATO countries that didn't gave their equipment or resources to attack Serbia were Greece, Cyprus, Spain, Chech Republic and Slovakia.

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani thanked NATO for "not turning a blind eye to the suffering of the Kosovar people at that time" on the 25th anniversary of "Operation Allied Force" against the former Yugoslavia.

They forget to mention the 8 years of massacres and genocides committed directly and indirectly by Serbia and its affiliates prior to the West's intervention. Not limited to the Kosovo province but all over the place in former Yugoslavia. It took the West 8 years of unsuccessful diplomatic appeasement attempts before they finally stepped in to prevent one more large-scale massacre. And it was Russia that vetoed the UN resolution (surprise, surprise). If you want to blame anyone for Belgrade's bombing, blame the Serbian government and nationalists. And Russia for not having used their power and influence on Serbia to stop the carnage.

As a Romanian, the Serbs are my best neighbors. But befriending, praising someone like Putin, the greatest murderer of 21st century, it's appalling. Saddam Hussein too could have been saved by Putin in 2003, but Russia was not ready yet for big wars in that moment. NATO attacked Serbia for the simple fact that wanted to make Kosovo independent as punishment for the war in Bosnia which created Rep Srpska. The Serbs during the Yugoslav wars used the rhetoric: "The people making up the Yugoslav republics should have self determination not just the republic as a whole". And USA with Bill Clinton said, well yes, but then the Albanians from Kosovo(that made almost 90% of that autonomous region) will be granted same rights, of self determination.
