From a stone driveway to professional shop and paint booth. You boys have come a long way. Props!
Professional shops have license and certification. This illegal paint booth doesn't have any nor does these boys have anything.
@@TNT-ml1ll what a stupid comment
And back in pops backyard they did a lot better work with actual video content. Thomas is so disappointed. LOL
Yeah cause the rip ppl off with their overpriced crap they sell, especially their giveaways that are not fair. They are arrogant pricks who think laws don't apply to them and only care about showing off how much something cost. Their a glorified infomercial anymore.
@@TNT-ml1llyes, hello jelly school i think we have someone you may be interested in.
i think a metallic midnight purple would look really sick on the urus, at night it would look black and in the daytime those metallics would really make the purple pop.
The purple from the Lamborghini Diablo
I strongly agree 100%👍
I bet they're gonna paint it white because white hides many imperfections and trash on camera. Whatever they're saying right now but they're gonna end up painting it white like as usual they do.
OMG! I was thinking the exact same thing. Would love to see a metallic Midnight Purple.
I really came to comment on the same colour option as if I am the only one suggesting it.. but I guess I'm not the only one. Midnight purple will always be one of my favourite colour options. 😅
You should have buried a electrical warning tape a couple of inches over the conduit, and make sure to add the piping to a property map so both you and a potential new owner of the property in the future know were it is.. just a tip (eng not my first language)
You did fine. Understand every word.
at the very least take pictures of the path the pipes took so you know for later projects since a 511 call wont mark out that condiut. Now for my two cents you may have wated to check with your local code enforcement officials to see how deep you needed to burry that pipe, that seemed a little shallow to me which IMO was evident by the bump in the asphalt, that shouldn't have happened.
There is no way that the conduit run would be legal here in Australia. Not deep enough, no warning tape etc. So many mistakes in the installation. At the least it should’ve been checked by a licensed electrician!
I'm an electrician, your new disconnect is wired backwards. The feed from your service equipment should go to the top of the switch, equipment goes to the bottom. Your enthusiasm and work ethic are second to none. Love your vids.
And wasted money running seal tight in PVC.
Nice job, I would get that phase converter off the ground and I believe that conduit is supposed to be at least 18 inches down under an asphalt driveway.
Keep in mind that you can't paint in the winter when the weather is cold because the booth will need heated make-up air during the paint cycle. Infrared heaters will not work, as they only heat the objects (vehicle), not the air. Infrared is good for baking after the car is painted, but you will need enough lamps to heat the whole car evenly. When you are painting during the summer months when it is warm the air coming into the booth will be fine, but when it is cold outside, picture painting in 40 degrees to 50degrees. The paint will run right off the rockers onto the floor of the booth. Your next major purchase is going to be a furnace. A spray booth furnace is 900,000 to 1,000,000 BTU's. You could either go with Propane, Natural gas if it available on your street, or oil. The bake cycle runs for 30 minutes. The natural gas consumption for a 950,000 BTU furnace for 30 minutes is $17 to $20 dollars. which will not break the bank. Propane is slightly higher. You guys also need to bolt that phase converter to the concrete. I saw how it jumps when you start it, you don't want it dancing around while it is running.
They do it their own way with most things, not all to safe. But love watching the channel! I doubt they will read this comment and Get the right things done. 🤟🏼
Don't forget that they never finish their projects @@barkanellichasingdreams4142
How did mum and pops house move go? Are they happy where they moved to?
I’m not sure their 200amp max power supply will cope with the heating elements as well as the big extraction fans. (Also the load on the fans will increase as the filters gradually fill up)..
That is precisely why I was going to suggest that they complete the carport by putting walls up and a door to keep heat in!
make sure to get a Steel Fence around the Fan for extra security for ur pets
More for copper thiefs
Why it's in its own enclosure, it's not like it's open
@@benmac940 lol ikr, a German Shephard isnt getting sucked into that.
Y’all boys need to start putting out videos on Sunday morning again. I really miss getting up and grabbing some coffee and waiting for your video to post. Gets my day started.
You guys might want to check your local codes because the electrical lines have to be 18" under ground where i live. Yours may need to be 24" even under the driveway. Also there should be a junction box where the 110 lines come off your main run to the paint booth.
You guys did a good job but the conduit needs to be alot deeper.
18” grass area 24” under driveways and sidewalks. Also need sch. 80 exposed and just so much wrong with the entire job and no j box for the 120v run. Probably have a fill issue with wire size to pipe size. Whole thing needs to be redone.
18in in pvc, 24in if uf, and if run under concrete youre allowed 6in
@@brenoaraujo6696 asphalt isnt concrete but yeah
@@4TwentyFour20
For sure thats a code violation they needed 18in there
@@brenoaraujo6696 has to be 24” under a driveway look up the NEC. Under slab/ concrete floor that’s not a driveway can be directly under it no min. Depth. Also not sure why your talking about UF cable they didn’t use any.
As a 30+ year electrician I have to say that your installation looks not to bad. I did notice a couple big issues that wouldn’t pass inspection in Canada. The main concern is the new disconnect switch. Your feed wires should have been connected to the top of the switch and the load wires on the bottom. Yes it works how you have it but it’s a safety issue for the next electrician if he doesn’t notice. The other thing is the depth of the conduit under the driveway should be deeper (3ft) so it doesn’t break.
Just a thought..
pour another pad move the boat n truck over. Then setup a smaller booth for painting parts w/ a separate mixing station area in between both booths. 🤔 it’s super efficient and allows a couple projects w compartmentalization.
That’s what we would do these clowns never doing anything right or think it out they just dive in and regret it
The flexible conduit is good. Per electrical code , you can't shove a flexible conduit into a 2in PVC. You need to put a junction box with the appropriate connectors in. Now looking at your fan connections. You will need a box in between the connections also with a Romex connector for each of Romex or cable! After time these bad connections can cause you problems!
You are going to need to add a special room attached to the paint booth to mix your paint etc. The final addition.
Big up to Pops, he’s living the dream with his family! I am loving everything about you guys, this channel is edutaining and inspiring either ways. Best channel I ever subscribe! Peace..South Africa
@-FREE-GOONZQUAD. 🙏🏽
How did mum and pops house move go? Are they happy where they moved to?
Ive been watching you guys for 5 years and Its hard to get used to the less frequent videos.
I’m with you. I keep checking every day. The dude building the P1 must of really hits some problems he and jack haven’t posted any videos for a while also. Then you have Matt who also hasn’t been building anything… I’m going through UA-cam car video withdrawal!!! Lol
What I miss is a schedule, this not know when the next video might drop is frustrating. The really great channels stick to a production schedule barring any unexpected delays. I like their videos and hope this doesn’t come across as dogging. If one video a week is their format then great, but it would be nice to know what day to look forward to a new video.
Same here! Consistent Sun, Tues, and Thurs vids fir years and now, it's a guessing game on when the next vid will be out.
Scammers made enough money. Obviously they won't stick around to get sued.
That's what happens when you get too comfortable. Houses, cars, shops, paint booths, quads, man sheds, boats, Ford Shelby trucks, helicopters, tools, lifts, endless things for the shop, car lifts, shop fans, shop lights, blower motors for the new paint booth, fishing boats, super expensive appliances for new house, landscaping, endless spending sprees at Home Depot daily, etc., etc., etc. When you get to the point where you can spend pretty much any amount you want on anything you want, and you have SO many toys, it gets alot harder to find that drive that you had when you didn't have 2 cents to rub together. With all the stuff they have accumulated in the last few years, it's no wonder they don't have time to make videos anymore.
Doesn’t your building code require you to dig a 36” deep trench to put your electrical conduit in under your driveway. This keeps the conduit from getting broken when you drive over It in the driveway. Be prepared to have electrical issues possibly in the future. Remember that there is never enough time to do it right, but always enough time to do it over.😮
those cables need to be at least 18 inches deep unless they are in metal conduit
Very good point.
Gonna be fun watching the driveway go from having a raised part to a sunken part in the future.
You think they care about codes? Just wait till a city inspector sees this video and makes them tear it all out and do it correctly
Congratulations on the new paint booth! Its amazing to see the hard work and dedication that went into creating this fantastic space. Can't wait to witness the magic of the first paint job - heres to countless vibrant transformations ahead!
Just went back and watched some of your old GTR and Viper builds. I miss the old style simple content you used to do.
Money and fam got them hard.
While yous are on break so much i started finding cool Build channels
You should have laid caution tape onto of the conduit before you backed filled so if anyone digs there since you didn’t go deep enough I might have given you some protection
Was wondering about that. Pretty sure it's a requirement where I am to have magnetic caution tape over buried cables
@@benmac940 I'm not sure they glued the conduit either.
I always love seeing Pops out there working with you guys. It was the best time of my life when I could go to my dad's shop and work on cars with him. I miss doing that every day
They make a special plastic for booth walls thats nice and tight and instead of over spray landing on brand new walls you can spray directly on the plastic and whenever it's full of over spray remove plastic and add new, bc let me tell u, to get that perfect brand new booth wall finish is hard and it sucks having to repaint it. Hope you guys see this!!
They also used to make a product called booth slime. You would spray it on and when it got full of paint you hosed it off with water.
Again as usual crap job on this paint job, look at those wall 4 lights vs 2 lights.
@@TNT-ml1ll You are JUST a HATER on EVERYTHING these guys do! Pipe down!!!!!
I agree... get the plastic it will save in the long run!
It just blows my mind how many Einsteins out there think they are telling these guys something
I love it. Everyone commenting is a professional electrician all of a sudden…just like they were all contractors and retaining wall experts .
Always amazed at your ability to figure things out.
Boy! I don’t think I would make that transformer permanent on the concrete! I would have it installed on a platform where it’s off the ground
It ain't permanent either, it's coming out in a couple of years once it's broken. 😂
Hahahahah... Nope leave all that stuff right there on the ground for the water to get too.. The vid of one them getting sent to the moon will get the views their old stuff used to get. I just hope it is the dumb one that gets it and not pops or the dogs.
Even if you don’t need it that day I find it’s always best to lay a conduit under a new drive as a matter of course. These days IT / fibre optic installers charge the earth to do it so it’s always a money saver in the end. (Always run a pull through rope through at the same time and just keep it wrapped up until the day someone needs it..)
That silver on the driver’s side really brings out the body lines and defines the Lambo shapes and design. Beautiful paint booth, congrats guys! 👌😉
@user-INBOX- what’s up gents?
I was OCDing about the carport walls, glad you're gunna waterproof the exposed electrical area, don't leave it too long!
As for the new color, go for a color you've never done before. black or purple pearl.
“Murdered Out” black would look badass on the Urus. Maybe a combo of gloss and matte but all black. Super sinister looking.
Those under-drive boring machines are absolutely brilliant! I think if I needed to hire one for the day I would probably measure the drive width I needed and get that number of extensions! It would save a whole day wasted! Great work boys!
Super travail ! 👍✋
Congrats on the new paint booth. I love that you guys aren’t afraid to tackle and project. I like the purple Lamborghini idea.
Viola Parsifae 😎👍💯
I bet, purple will just turn out as bad as this paint booth 😂 or they will just drop the idea of purple.
Green boys
You guys are acting like little kids during christmas ...... I LOVE IT! Good to see you can be authentic happy if something good comes along.
And it's so nice to see how you're involving dad and appriciate him for all his efforts!
Safety 3rd guys! 3 phase for machinery is 'usually' 480v. And it hurts, I got a belt off it about 25 years ago. Burn to my hand & heart was beating irregular. I think that's what they said, that's the only time for 3 phase 480v, probably 15 times 240v. That's like a tickle compared to 3 phase! Keep it up guys & love to pops!
Good job fellas make sure that building/eq is grounded, looking forward to seeing some sprays!
@goonzquad
You guys should have a side wall enclosure over the power equipment because it's open to sideways rain at the moment as well as moisture perhaps getting into the control board. Normally these control boards if inside a factory or garage they are in a separate room from the outside to be legal.
Great job guys! You made it through all of the obstacles by yourselves. Be proud!
The paint prep room was a big obstacle they just walked around it. 😂
I love that you guys show drilling under the roadway & all the little extras like going to the shops to get equipment etc. Really builds the full picture of your day which I think is pretty interesting. Good choice to change colour as the colour doesn’t come across the screen as real nice. Have you thought about a cherry red you know like real dark cherry almost black in some light. That could look nice !!
Really full picture here is that they're really stupid and they do stupid stuff to make content.
Purchase a nice weather tight shipping container. They are perfect for storing parts. You can put shelves on both side and store all kinds of stuff and get it out of your shop. Best option!
the ditch witch - the booth was a good idea - design an appropriate sign for the shop - a lil fancy, a lil basic - you should get the elec inspected - proper bonding, proper ground rods, nec is variable year to year - you may want gfi plus anti arc breakers - do add walls on sides to protect motor. the place is almost perfect now - stay there for a while
The lack of videos dropping is upsetting. Been watching you guys since I was a sophomore in high school. Im now 22. I miss the consistent videos, or atleast knowing when your vids will drop.
House of color paint with multi layer candy purple or red would be a great way to take your painting skills to the next level.
You need to paint it a metallic black with high gloss clear coat ! Would really look epic !! 👏
They are too stupid.
Yea but that would show lots of trash and imperfections on camera. So they will end up painting it white.
@goonzquad You need a cover over that control panel!! Covers it from weather, moisture, and protects from unauthorized people messing with it!
I love you Guys, and I love Pops and Mom, I wish I had parents like yours, and it makes me so happy to see you spend time with pops and being able to buy him and your Family what ever they need, God bless you guys, PS I wanna see videos 7 days a week, 😂 when I come home from work.
Watching elazar repair and paint every panel on the viper Ta is what got me hooked on watching goonzquad back in the day. Finally the day has come having your own super clean booth. Congratulations guys, keep up the great content 🎉
Doesn’t Power have to be 36 inches down for code? That’s basically on the surface
Please they didn’t even bother calling dig safe
That's what I was thinking.. different cities/states have different codes, but most require at least 16", and 220V might require even deeper.. hope their favorite City inspector doesn't see this video or he/she will make them rip it out and do it over..
OH CRAP, and they ran 220v and 120v together.. I hope they used a 220v rated cable for the 120v line, cause the lower power line has to meet the same voltage rating as the highest rated cable in the conduit...
Pops is living the dream, getting to spend all his time with his sons, make sure to enjoy these amazing moments with him, as you never know when you will no longer have the opportunity...
Yea he didn't retire yet and these boys are already packing up their work. Seems like only working 20 hours a week now. Hardly pushing the 2nd video for a week.
@@TNT-ml1ll rude, they pack way more content into each video! I'd rather have two high quality videos a week rather then 10 videos of fluff each week. Some of us have busy lives so we appreciate a nice quality video when it comes
@@Luminosity209 It doesnt have to be fluff, they could keep their same old schedule and maintain the high quality that they're known for. Honestly, it does seem like they have gotten too comfortable and are slacking on a lot of things. How many alignment machines can a guy buy for the price of that brand new off the dealers floor shelby F150?
Great that the install is done, but I hope the electrical doesn't need to be inspected. 18" deep minimum in a pvc conduit in Chattanooga...
My suggestion for the Urus is a satin finish gun-metal dark grey with some fine navy flake mixed in. You know how gun bluing on a rifle barrel looks black but in the sun is has a dark blue metallic look to it. The satin finish will make the gloss black vents and skirts really stand out.
Think ive had enough of this. Plenty of other channels. Thanks for the last few years. Ciao.
I'm sitting here smiling along with you guys. Happy and excited for your hard work that has paid off. Thank you for sharing
The paint booth takes all your projects to the next level. Superb guys, well done.
Another fine job...
Another crap job, look at those lights 😂 one wall has 5 lights opposite wall only have 2. 😂😂
sheet the oven walls whilst you can, whilst its fresh and new. keeps the walls bright, white and like new! Here in the UK we also have plastic grass down on our booth floor, works amazingly to reduce trash in the paint. tricky though with a down draft.
Hey guys that is clean, it's the deal of the day, smart thinking.
Guys i know your whole journey is documented video by video but i really think you should either post a video of the first build you did at Mom & Pop's house or maybe a compilation video from then until now. this is just incredible and Huge congratulations! Very Inspiring!
Yea do a compilation so we all fans can see how garbage this channel has actually become. From working hard and finishing each build to working 20 hours a week and all the incomplete builds lately, it would be a great video to tell the story of how greedy we guys became after all this year
Instead of building a storage spot for parts you can always just put a 45foot shipping container beside the slab. You can sometimes find new ones without rust and dents for a fairly good price and it’s portable so you can move it around or take it with you if you decide to go bigger on the next garage
Awesome stuff guys! I think you need to add the alignment machine 100% you would be a complete shop! Do it!! Fit nice to the main building on either side, just addon to it
Glue the conduits? Legally that can’t be deep enough either surely
Orange and black on the urus would look sick
We waiting ✋️ 😌 😮
We are so happy for you guys, and it is so great to see all of your hard work paid off!
That work was so hard that the outcome came out 4 lights on one wall and other wall only have 2 lights 😂😂
I love how your dad works with you guys. What a blessing for you all.
It seems like only dad is working there now 😂 with all the maintenance of property and old cars is dad's job. I don't see any new videos coming anymore so these boys call out every other day while pops is still working hard.
Nardo Grey, with the black wheels and black accents it will be awesome looking!
How exciting! Bow in the fan side of the carport and it’s ready made for paint storage and a mixing area
Where are the ground rods? Is the gate opener power direct burial cable? Is the pipe size rated for the amount of pipe you ran? Is the pipe 18" deep?
Hi Bros,
Your paint shop absolutely looks great and this will change a lot for you because now you can control the whole process from changing a wrecked car into a beauty all by your own without being depending on a waiting list for a paint shop in your surrounding area. Very keen to learn what color the Lamborghini Urus will get but if I was in your position I would have stayed with the nice original white of this car. Wish you lots of success with all your ongoing projects and send you love from the Netherlands
I hope they can control trash without a paint prep room.
Old man is the reason I have subscribed to your channel ❤️ He works hard take care of things and has solution for every situation 🎉❤
Today it was the Purple Pants Pop Party. 😎
Even though the color was a bit off, that wrap-job was top-notch! It will be good to see the Urus get a proper paint job!
Guys this is certainly a milestone! I have been looking forward to you Guys having the paint booth for a long time! New we'll be able to see some awesome paint jobs! It will be really cool to see you paint the Arus especially purple maybe with some serious metal flake! I had a purple metal flake custom Sportster and it was really cool.
I still want to see you guys take a big torque wrench and properly torque those Center Lock wheels on the Aventador, the car looks amazing but if one of those wheels decides to take off it will cause A LOT of damage, same thing goes for the 911 before you drive it.
I just hope they arent using a conventional wheel torque wrench or just using an impact to tighten it because it probably maxes out at 150-160. Looking at their previous vids they were able to take the wheels off with an impact which isnt reassuring lol
You will never see that nor is it any off your business.
Reasonably good chance they don't own a good torque wrench!
@@justintarvid who cares if they do or dont.
@@Boeing-ER-jy9vq Taking them off with an impact is not a problem, there are some powerful enough, but tightening them with one is a BAD idea, from the top of my head it requires around 400ft/lbs of torque to properly do it.
So awesome to see how far you guys have come! Always a pleasure watching your videos ❤
They came far as those light differences on paint booth wall. 😂😂
So awesome how pops became the star of the show. Love the family dynamic 😊
Come so far lads the shop is looking great everything you need just a wheel alignment and you can tackle anything that comes through the doors well done 👏
Cool, but sure doesn't look like code required 18" burial depth. Could have gone with RMC/IMC pipe and done 6". A few hundred bucks more and you would have had it done to code.
My goodness y'all live in a different world. In my neck of the woods we can't just run our own electric. It has to be a certified electrician. Most especially in a commercial structure. No matter how good the work is they won't pass it or they'll shut you down for code violations.
It's quite likely the same there, will eventually have to be signed off by a city inspector.
They certify it themselves
They're probably using their brother who is in construction
Where I live, the home owner is allowed to do his/her own electrical work aslong as the inspector signs off on it at the end of the day.
I saw some code violations ngl but it is what it is 😂
I have been watching you guys on UA-cam for about 6 years now and I can't wait to see the car be fully painted and it will look good in metallic white because it will give the car the nice look in the sun and keep up the awesome work.

Looks awesome guys, when you do your maintenance on the spray booth be sure to grease your electric motors, they will last a lot longer, and check your belts for wear, cool to see you guys get your booth going, now it's time to start kicking out some wild paint jobs,.😊
maintenance??? you really think that will ever happen? Can't even clear codes on all of their builds.
Can't even finish any build lately and you're talking about maintenance on the booth motor 😂. Look at the clearance gap they keep under the booth and that illegal DIY electric job. That whole booth is illegal and sketchy.
@budbrewer3985 well I was a plant maintenance for 21 years those bearings need to be greased or it will seize up and do a lot of damage, worked on 480 vac high voltage and 100 hp electric motors, I have seen the damage caused bt neglect.

You should do a burnt orange to black colorshift paint job or some other colorshift but that would be totally outta the box and different for you guys. It would even be super epic!!
first good answer for the color
Yes, I agree with you. I think the purple will be beautiful.
Black with a the lambo purple pearl and black everything else out that beast would be unreal
The paint booth looks fantastic! Are you going to build a little room off to the side for mixing paint?

Let's go Simon and Elazar ...
Did you just found out their real names?
Would look great in purple. Great job on the paint booth, will be good to see it in use.
Hope you guys are calling to get the markers to avoid hitting existing utilities when you are digging. Just to be safe. I did not see any marker flags - just concerned for your safety.
That would have been done when they made the foundations for the shop. There ain't nothing on that property.
im so excited to see yall do some good work in there so glad yall got a paintbooth
I've been a fan of the goonzquad since day 1, and tbh i dont know what i'll do if i haven't discovered you guys.. inspirational and a blessing to witness. And just to add one observation that I made, make sure that the burying of electrical wires are within compliance with local regulations and codes... that job to me doesn't seem like a durable and desirable one, especially below where vehicles will be frequently driving. Please read this and understand guys.
The risk they have with no isolation for the electrical conduit underground is huge.
My Sundays, Thursdays and Thursdays were happy and planned days, now we never know when the gonna post anything. Is like this channel losses the spirit.
In Sweden, it is required that you have at least 2 years of training, specifically for high current installations. Strange that as an amateur you can install high current installations in the US.
So happy to see the wrap go off the urus and a real paint job to come
You boys are nearly a turn key shop now! Alignment machine away!! Congrats boys!!!
the cracks in the top layer of the asphalt, expanding water in winter can destroy it
It doesn't get that cold in the winters there lol.
I probably missed it but how are suppling air to the booth to paint with? Also it would be handy to have a room by the booth to mix the paint in so you don't have to mix it in the garage, walk over to the booth and back again for more paint. I always wanted a booth when my dad and I had our shop. Keep up the awesome work.
They don’t think of things like that they never finish a car 100% you thing they old have taken the time to plan it out they are always cut corners on everything
So happy with the paint booth finished. But Guys I don’t even know now when you are going to upload a video. I am kind of lost.
