"I didn't hide my pistol I didn't even try to run I just sat on the porch smoking one of his cigarettes waiting on the cops to come." That's the most cold blooded line I've heard in a long time.
"I might be here forever, it ain't paradise that's true, but it's a whole hell of a lot better than the place I sent him to" is one of the coldest lines ever written
Well I sure hope you don't tell your daughter that, it would be way worse if you were her father, but judging by your screen name you're her mother, and while I too have a daughter (adult now), and I understand fully the blood lust to kill a mofo if I found out they laid hands on her, you gotta realize the message in this song is so wrong and harmful to young girls, and boys, out there. My thing is, how bout we put the emphasis on teaching our daughters how not to end up in an abusive relationship, and what to do if they end up in one anyway. AND start teaching our boys how to act right, unfortunately that's a taller order because as soon as people start doing that, the alpha male d-bags start crying "woke" because their actually snowflakes. Have you taught your daughter to use that Judge properly and safely, so it's not ingrained in her mind that she needs to just stand by, or wait in the truck, while someone else handles the abusive person in her life? I'm not trying to throw shade at ya, or tell ya how to be a parent, I promise, it's just that I was paramedic for 27yrs, our station was a safe house, and I've volunteered for a few woman's shelter in my time, trust me when I say, if they even think a tiny bit they need help taking care of an abusive partner, they will rarely ask for that help, and it's literally almost never a parent they'll go to. Think about two scenarios where your daughter is scared to tell you she's in an abusive relationship.... 1. She's scared to tell you, but doesn't have the coping skills to realize his apologies don't mean 💩, and stays with him til one day you find out, or see her injuries, you go and get your Judge, have a couple seconds of satisfaction, and your daughter has to visit her mother in prison the rest of your life. 2. She's scared to tell you, but she has the skills and forethought to know that there is absolutely no forgiving or 2nd chances when it comes to abuse, and after the very first incident, dudes belongings are in the front yard and the cops are called, she never tells you, but that man, and no others ever lay an abusive finger on her ever again. Just food for thought, thanks for reading if ya made it this far, take care and be safe out there. ✌💚
My husband had one and I shot it ONCE ... and only once! I couldn't handle the recoil! Sold it to his son when he passed away ... wasn't doing me any good!
In my imagination, there is a back story where he was either too young or not brave enough to mete out some justice for either a friend or relative, and now he has decided he will not let that happen to another woman, if he can help it. It was just too much for him to take.
I've had these words spoken to me, "Wait in the truck" while a friend walked to my exs door to retreive my belongings. I had a fractured eye socket, a broken nose and was missing two teeth. They're 4 of the most wonderful words in the english language as far as I'm concerned.
I know you said you thought he was going to just beat the c*** out of him and didn't understand why he would do it for a stranger. The only thing I can think of is.He grew up seeing the beatings happened to somebody that was close to him and that's why he did it. Also, having been working with my parents that did foster carefore years.I can understand this
"a Judge under the seat" referred to the type of pistol he had. did you notice that he picked up the dude's lit cigarette!? just a couple li'l tid bits I've learned! also, she's still in his truck! lots of love!
Yes!! I wish I'd read your comment before I posted. My dad had a "Judge" that he left to a friend of his after he passed. It shoots both 45 bullets and shot gun shells...and it's got one heck of a kick!
It's a hell of a deal for you Mam. You can Hit us, you can lie about us, you can do what you like, and men? Just expected to roll over and take it, with a smile, eh? Man, that must be nice.

Also Hardy wrote GOD'S COUNTRY dang by Blake Shelton a great hard hitting song also turned into another heavy metal version of a country song by State of Mine.
True story it happened to a friend Hardy know's .He served 15 years. He got out and they got hitched got 4 kids and are stll married. Still got the truck. ❤❤
New sub cuz I loved how you kept going back to make sure you were hearing it right!!!! Hardy - "GIVE HEAVEN SOME HELL" "SOBER YOU" "A ROCK" "REDNECKER" all must see reactions ❤
"Greater love has no man than this: that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13 Right around 7:13 you see him shudder a bit as he exhales and the realization hits him. You might have to watch it a couple of times to see it. Superb acting!
One of the best songs ever and certainly one of the best country videos I have seen in years. Love the old school videos where they are like mini movies that match the song. Reba was especially famous for them with songs/videos like "The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia" and "Fancy".
First time I heard this song I was driving on the freeway and had to pull over cause I couldn't see from crying so hard. He traded his life for hers. she was in her own Prison from being abused. at the end when you see her walking away free and him in changes it show the exchange his life for hers. and she also drives away in his truck free just like he drove in a free person in the beginning.
He didn't question her because he knew what happened to her because he himself had witnessed it either his mother or his sister or even himself and this set him free finally to become a man
as a country boy that has kick a door in, now I don't know if they meant for the song to mean this but he only shot him when he went for the gauge, if he wouldn't have done that he might have only got a ass whooping. like I say just how I see it. good video.
Yeah... Great message. A woman can make ALL the wrong choices, than get a random man to MURDER her bad choices for her, he goes to jail for LIFE, she gets his truck and a new chance. Nice deal... For her, I suppose.
It may have been for a stranger, but he might have grown up with this, and been too young to stop it. Or had a sister killed from it. You never know what would trigger a person's reaction based on their past.
Powerful video and message. Incredible vocals and lyrics.....sad but true! Loved your reaction. The way I look at it, it was justified homicide. Shows you how screwed up our justice system is. Nevertheless, one less scumbag on this earth.
To me, Hardy's char lost a loved one to domestic violence as a kid, and he said "not again" to himself. And, I disagree with the start of Lainey's parts. That was the act of an AVENGING angel, taking out that lowlife abuser

Is your Pistol heavy? I’m going shopping for a pistol in two weeks.
Yes ma'am. I recommend a 9.@@bikergrandma2316
This was tough … I’m a rock guy and loved it … stand up men and protect our woman from abuse .. 💯
Yes Sir I agree
Funny thing is, there is a pistol that shoots both 45 bullets and shot gun shells ..it's called "The Judge"
Yep, got one in my nightstand.
It looked like a Judge in the video
The one shown in the video is a S&W Governor, though. The Judge swings open the opposite direction.
That's exactly what she is talking about
That’s the exact revolver he pulls from under the seat. Great visual to go with the lyrics.
He gave his life for a stranger, changed places with her. But she's still waiting in the truck :)
In my imagination, there is a back story where he was either too young or not brave enough to mete out some justice for either a friend or relative, and now he has decided he will not let that happen to another woman, if he can help it. It was just too much for him to take.
Exactly what I think

That's what I thought too. Or he had someone he loved killed by her abuser.
If your from the south, every southern woman knows what wait in the truck means.
Yep, and every southern man knows what's about to happen when his woman says, "Oh, hell no!!!!"
Yes we do!
Damn straight girl 😂
there are angels that do what he did ... called avenging angels
One of the best songs ever written!
For sure
I love it when he picks up the cigarette and just starts smoking!!❤
Some people just don't tolerate stupid.
When i heard "whisky scars" I was ready for the rest of the song.
"a Judge under the seat" referred to the type of pistol he had.

Men should NEVER put their hands on a woman in anger. We need more men like the kind in this video! Great reaction.🎶❤
It's a hell of a deal for you Mam. You can Hit us, you can lie about us, you can do what you like, and men? Just expected to roll over and take it, with a smile, eh? Man, that must be nice.
And ,she drove away in his truck! And by the way review his song 'Jack' - an ode to Jack Daniels as told from the perspective of Jack.

"...whisky scars.." That's sad!
Did you notice he gave her his truck
I don't know if you noticed but the Truck she drove off in was his
Yeah, she got him to THROW his entire future away, for her, and then on top of it, she gets his ride... Must be nice, eh?
@@Chrisfragger1 she didnt get him to do anything, he took it on himself to do what he did...

He's quite a song writer. Check out God's Country sung by Blake Shelton. A fun song from Hardy is "Unapologetically Country"
Why am I the only one noticing that the Reactor Dave looks amazingly like Hardy! And also his expressions!
That's a compliment Dave.. 😊

Those vocals! Chills! Beautiful video too! He’s definitely an angel!
He did give his life for a stranger. He did it for a woman.
Yeah, amazing... I thought women wanted equality. I guess men are still expected to die for women.

Anything from Hardy is phenomenal. What a story teller, songwriter. Listen to Teddy Swims, if you haven't yes. Live version of I LOOSE CONTROL.
Hardy is a great writer. Check out Give Heaven Some Hell
A must watch is the live performance of this song on the CMA awards a couple of years ago. It is unbelievable! Highly recommend!
Give heaven some hell is another great song of his!
A judge is a .45 snubnose revolver.
Hardy gifted Lainey a Judge for her birthday. Ive shot one and its one hell of gun.
This is a great song!!!!... You should check out The Mockingbird and the Crow!!!!... That'll knock your socks!.... Or Radio Song!!!
Or ... check out Lainey Wilson singing live with Jelly Roll.. mind blowing 🤯
Listen to Hardy’s give heaven some hell.
I've watched dozens of reactions to this video. Yours is the best. Thanks.
Movie and song of the year goes to HARDY & LAINEY WILSON
I love this song ❤
You have got to do more HARDY check out "the mocking bird and the crow "
Have Mercy.❤
You would like Truck yeah - Hardy
Has anyone noticed that the truck the lady leaves the jail at in the end is actually the truck the guy picked her up in at the beginning.
Fantastic reaction. Thank you. I second The Mockingbird & The Crow. Official video
As you don't seem to know, a Judge is a Taurus.45/410 revolver.
Great song
I've been told to "Wait in the truck." Southern women know what that means. We don't ask questions because we know shit's going down.

First time I saw this video I wondered if perhaps he had seen his mother get beat when he was a kid and just snapped (PTSD).
He took up her burden. Think about that.

Justified .. but he a murder case .. that’s sacrifice in another way to save someone else 💯
Check out lainey Wilson's watermelon wine and wild horses.
If you liked "Rockstar" then you should check out "The Mockingbird and The Crow" from Hardy.
My theory is, his mother was abused and he was raised in a home of violence. He wasn’t going to let it happen to another woman.
Another great song with a great message is THE CALL by Matt Kennon. Your Vets listener would understand
