- this video shows how luck can save your life , november 2020 i'm jumping every day all day long , 10 to 12 jumps a day . On that day it was foggy and rainy after a long night of snow, the ramp was in the cloud and we decided after wait for almost an hour to go back down , in Gimmelwald we decided to go to the rope. when we got there it was clear but super wet and slippery . As I had done plenty of front flips there that week I thought it wouldnt be a big deal to do frontflips with the mono... well i was wrong : when i got out of the second frontflip the legs inflated and made me go head low , I got scared and pulled thinking id be too low if I waited to stabilize. This resulted in lots of twists but I luckily only had a 90 left and ended up in the softest tree . 2 hours later i was jumping again (flat and stable) unharmed ...
Reminder : Complacency will kill you if you run out of luck . I got lucky on this one but really took a step back to think about what happened
If you are not sure on an exit but tell yourself it will be ok you shouldnt jump
There is a big difference between being scared but 100% sure (sure about the numbers, your technique, your level, your training) and focused, and being scared and thinking it will be fine. without having trained this new aerial or suit before
if you are not sure dont do it
After that jump I started training for line twists. I visualize twists before every jump watch videos of twists every week. - Спорт
Nice debrief write-up. Pretty gnar to think you'd double front flip into a stable track. But then again... you always make it look easy 😉
My goal was just to come out stable
But i always come out of aerials in a tracking position, and although here i tried to not do that i still stretched my legs a bit instaed of keeping them bend
Good learning opportunity and you didn't die so all good :)
unbelievable!
I've landed linetwists that had my head pinned to my chest. Getting the canopy going the right way should be the first priority, climb above and steer.
Id love to see the video
@@antygravityit was a slider down jump off an S in France. I'll upload it at some point and link you 👍
이것은 아무리 보고 또 봐도 매우 엄청나게 초극단적인 묘기이다 😂😂😂
❤
As a layperson, these flips always seem the most likely to cause an accident. They seem ripe for disorientation, for perhaps somehow getting the bridle wrapped round a leg, or for destabilising one before opening.
question, what does the thing you pulled 00:27 seconds in do? you can't cut away BASE jumping right? like you won't have a main (already on reserve so to speak)
also, did the helmet strap break or just went around your head?
thank you for posting
just noticed now you seemed to have undone the helmet haha
I would have thought if one knows one will crash thats the situation where a helmet will be useful xD I suppose with the cameras sticking out you were worried about breaking your neck and or skull so the helmet is more of a camera platform than a safety feature (when I acro paraglide never take a camera (only once and didn't do any real tricks)
