To some in New Zealand, the pōhutukawa is the symbol of Christmas 🎄 the marker of summer ⛱ and the sign of the warmer months of the year 🌞
To others, the bloom is a sign the seafood is ripe 🐚
When tourists and foreigners see the pōhutukawa, they know it is the iconic tree of New Zealand 🌀
