    "Left shoulder to the throat" during the backswing. I feel a considerable amount of upper body strain when trying to emulate this move. Is this correct? Or, should you try to be and feel more relaxed and tension free? What is the appropriate amount of tension during this upper body coil?

      Hi “H” - thank you for your question.
      Loading the shoulder coil should be an exertion - like stretching a catapult.
      It’s a 9 inch journey of the left shoulder to the throat. Coil as much as your physique allows and then release that power on the form of a shot.
      If you stretch 100% in your shoulder coil you will achieve your maximum power. The coiling of the left shoulder creates and controls at least 15 elements in the backswing so it’s important to become skilled at it! 👍

      Hi Joe absolutely 100% !
      The left shoulder creates 15 things in the backswing and it won’t ignite takeaway if you don’t consciously make it.
      15 things that happen automatically from good posture and grip -
      1 Path
      2 Ark
      3 Plane
      4 Torso coil
      5 Hip Coil
      6 Weight shift
      7 Constant Knee Flex
      8 Weight shift
      9 Forearms roll and rotate
      10 Forearms rotate and rise to plane
      11 Wrists cock
      12 Length of backswing
      13 Pace of backswing
      14 Centralised rotation
      15 Balance.
      Keep it simple -
      AIM
      LOAD THE SHOULDER
      HIT THE SHOT.
