    Anita, excellent tutorial. I too own this Ninja. I absolutely, absolutely love ❤️ this machine. I’ve had mine for over a year and use it almost daily. I did purchase ( Amazon / USA $29.99) the dehydrator racks and use them weekly. I use 96/4 lean ground beef to make jerky. I’m mostly carnivore now (3 years) so I enjoy having the jerky sticks on hand. I also have lost 120 ponds and have kept it off for 7 years now. I will say the last 20 ponds I would like to lose is a bit of a challenge 🥴. Again, thank you for all you do. Stay safe & well❣️

    I have tried several AF options before and disappointed in them all. Because I saw you use yours I started to do research and bought one…best decision! I thought about getting this Ninja grill on and off for about 2 years. A month ago i looked into all their grill options and decided on the one you have because i can bake, roast, grill ect. This model is deeper where as the newer models, the deluxe ect you are limited to grilling as it is more shallow. I love this grill, i think many will find your info on this machine very helpful. I think if I was to cook something like skinless chicken breast maybe I would oil? Nah, I would sous vide a skinless chicken breast instead. To answer your question, I would recommend if you are going to use oil use avocado oil instead as it has a higher smoke point. That is why they don't recommend olive oil.

(I used the grill feature only once and later only used the Air-fryer feature). I used mine about 5 times but I was frustrated with how to clean the top... (inside the lid behind that screen)... so I put it away... Now I feel I wasted $300.00 and wish I could sell mine, I will never use it... Also it took up too much space on my counter-top. I'm not sure, but I do run it through the dishwasher a couple times a week so that it doesn't get buildup. If you have buildup to deal with, trying boiling it with some baking soda and vinegar and then run through dishwasher or scrub with the brush.

    I've just ordered the newer XL one, that's all we have available here in Australia currently. I actually wanted this original one., because of the deeper pan and smaller footprint. But anyway, it was a good price, so I went ahead. I'm a little bit worried about the cleaning, that seems to be the biggest problem with these, especially inside the lid. Question? If you use it twice a day and wash everything in the dishwasher, does that mean you run your dishwasher twice a day? I'm currently only running my dishwasher about twice a week. I subscribed to your channel, because I've just gone keto/carnivore a few weeks ago and I'm looking for ideas, so thanks for all your videos.

    • @KetogenicWoman
      @KetogenicWoman 6 місяців тому +1

      No dishwasher twice daily! So inbetween dish washes this is what I do: After I use the airfryer I let the machine cool a bit and then wipe the inside lid as much as I can with a paper towel. A warm washcloth would work as well. Also I am using a parchment paper air fryer liner in the basket each time. Then I don't have to worry about cleaning grease from the air fry pan or the bottom tray. That has been a game changer. It means I know only take everything out (screen, basket and tray)for a weekly washing in the dish washer.

    • @KetogenicWoman

      I would soak it in hot water and baking soda over night because it's a tight little screen and a brush alone might not do much. The next morning you should be able to scrub it with the brush to get off the residue.
